Hi, in one of your previous videos on sowing seeds in small containers, I asked you when do you start to transplant them and you said very soon after germination. But from this video, you intend to keep them in the containers for longer, why?
Just lazy, no time or not the right time. For example if you are sowing in winter, you would need a good spot for the seedlings to grow after replanting
@@Cactusinformation So it's OK to leave the seedlings in the close containers for much much longer? I've read from some cactus growers that they leave them in the growing bags for up to 18 months. Doesn't the constant moist and wetness destroy the roots, particularly those species that are prone to root rot, like lophophora and asterias?
@@dicklieu6962 Yes, you can do, but you have to spray with some fertilizer so they have some food. They will however not grow as fast as when you replant them
