The species has multiple uses such as ornamental use, perfumery use, cultural use, medicinal uses in traditional Indian medicine and also timber use. 27 meters height and 1.7 to 2 meters girth makes this like a huge tree. How many years will it take to reach that size ? Is that applies to all Magnolia champaca ? or nursery plants growth is limited or can be limited ?

It will take about 27 - 30 years to attain that height and girth. The plants from seed will attain more heights and such tall trees are usually harvested at about 50 years age for timber purposes. Such trees will start producing flowers from 6 - 8 years age. The trees propagated by grafting and cuttings will be of lesser height and will be able to produce flowers from 2 years age. Regards

I am a farmer from Kolhapur currently growing some aromatic crops and also have "Aromatic Oil distillation plant". Would love to grow these trees and extract oil from them.

Thanks for watching the video. The heart wood is strong and durable. The wood is used for furniture making and house construction in North east India specifically in Assam. So it should have demand in other places also.

I have not come across a Champak variety called Swarn champa. Swarn champa is one common name of Champak. So, usually, the size of the flower should be almost the same in seed origin plants and grafted plants. Regards
