Growing Edible Pandanus - Even in cooler climates 

@Einstein Alberto Hmm. That's is strange. Pandan should be easy to grow. If you water it regularly, water shouldn't be a problem, pandan can also grow in aquatic and semi aquatic environment, so overwatering shouldn't be a problem. If you give food (I assume commercial fertilizer), that should be OK, but don't overdo the fertilizer, just a pinch would be OK for a 1 week or so. Try repotting it, have a good mixture of soil - black soil + some sand/grave + some cocopeat. Good luck, hope your pandan do better. Where are you at? Is your climate OK?

@Einstein Alberto You're welcome. Glad to be of help. I think your problem is overfeeding as you say it yourself. I normally just put a pinch of leaf-inducing fertilizer granules and a bit of urea (just a bit, not even a pinch!) around the canopy in my pandan pot, that would last for about 10 days. Sometime I also put a pinch of organic fertilizer granules, once every 10-14 days. But I water regularly, since growing pandan in a pot makes it easy to dehydrate the pot - many times my pandan wilted in the past because I forgot to water just a couple of times in a week, the Malaysian weather is really hot and heaty and dries up a pot real fast, but thankfully I was able to revive the dehydrated bush. My pandan bush is so healthy now producing lots of leaves which we harvest frequently for our culinary needs.

@@Mustafa-Kamal-Satar my grandma taught me howto grow pandan in a small swimming pools, She would mix compost with alot of water and stick the plants in, and they grew very well

So what do you do when the weather gets cold?

@@minkuan5194 provide heat, grow light, less watering and humidifier for humidity. 😊

I’m pretty sure freezing breaks the cell walls, so a frozen leaf would be fully dead unfortunately.
