Nice development for second-year plants. The suckers can often be cloned successfully. These excellent fruits are a popular ingredient in many medicinal foods, as i bet you know well. Thank you for sharing--your plants look very 😊

@@FAST3RCA sure, thing! I had GA866 and Shanxi Li last year and GA866 was much better. I’ll record as they ripen. Thanks for the idea!

Thanks for the video Love seeing the progress in your fruit trees. What do you use to keep ants out of your potted trees?
@GrowsGoneWild
@GrowsGoneWild 2 месяца назад
@@BlessingsFruitGarden thanks for watching! I don’t have anything to keep them out, but once they move in I use those terro bait stations. It usually clears them out after a few days. Or sometimes I have to add an extra one.

When they get all wrinkled and turn brown color inside too and are soft are they still ok to eat? They have a different flavor then too.
@GrowsGoneWild
@GrowsGoneWild 22 дня назад
@@sheri023 yes those are fine. We Asians use those in soups or just eat them. You can buy them like that at Asian markets. It’s like a dried date.

Where do you get them?
@GrowsGoneWild
@GrowsGoneWild 2 месяца назад
@@stampznightaway most nurseries around me carry them. There’s some online ones as well like Burnt Ridge. These days I mostly buy scions and graft my own.

What climate zone are you in? I'm in zone 7, cool temperate, Ballarat, Australia. Wondering if they'll fruit here.
@GrowsGoneWild
@GrowsGoneWild 2 месяца назад
@@selwynr I’m in 10a in Southern California. I was reading something today on people at growingfruit where members were growing in 7b and even 6b in the states. Not sure how this compares to your area, though, as I am not too familiar with Ballarat. They seem to have had success with the varieties Honey Jar and Sugarcane. Good luck!

Your trees look really nice. I need to get a GA-866, just in case you are willing to sell one of those suckers.
@GrowsGoneWild
@GrowsGoneWild 2 месяца назад
@@edmonpierre4562yup GA866 is great! Those suckers are rootstock so will need to be grafted, unfortunately.
