This was the most informative video I’ve found so far!! Thank you!! I’d love to see you show your seedlings at each stage and what the next step is. This is my first time growing and I might have already messed up with the temp after germinating but I just fixed it, thanks to you!❤🌺🙏

Ahhh, the temperature! My seedlings last year suffered because I don't have a space that's between 45 and 65 degrees. Thanks for clarifying that!

Hi Neighbor 👋🏻 I hope my video was helpful for your first try. It is still a bit early to start them here. I usually start them after Christmas. Let me know if you have any questions 🙌🏻

Yay! Patience is the key! I can recommend potting them up in case you are growing them in mini blocks as well. They have a long main tap root. From the moment I see that peaking out of the soil blocks on the bottom I bump them up into the 2in block where they stay until they go out. 🙌🏻

i didnt do them in soil block i started them in a simple tray.. now i transplanted them in 72 cells. i saw how long the little roots...they should stay there for another 4 weeks i think. and the pelleted seeds its because the clay around it destroys the seeds. i got by accident double oreder of bolero carrots... received 2000 seeds. i planted a lot last year... but still have 1000 i hope they will germinate.. i will test them before sowing in the garden

Lol, we have all been there. I start my tomatoes beginning of April. It feels sooo late, but it brings me the perfect size and only have to pot them up once

You made me feel a little better than my Voyage 2 have not germinated yet, we are 10 days in and I see no action. I will give it some more time and cross my fingers.

They can take their dear time, that’s why everyone starts them so early and the grow slooooow. I started mine mid January and regret my procrastination already 🙃 they will be small when I am going to transplant them in 4 weeks, but oh well.

Thanks for the video. Do you water them under the dome or you start watering after they germinate?
@growninnewengland
@growninnewengland 8 месяцев назад
When the soil blocks just start under the dome they are very wet. I check them every day briefly and see if they need an extra mist of water. This week, I misted them every other day. Soil blocks need to be monitored a little bit closer as the can dry out quicker

What do you consider to be germination- I've had my lizzies on a heat mat for 17 days- I can see the tiniest green stem but barely- should I be taking away the heat mat now? Thank you

Thanks for watching my video, Janet. 💚Germinated is when you can see the first set of leaves. And they are very tiny when they are germinated. You might want to check with an magnifying glasses 🔍 🙃
