Dont really know how well these would grow. The soil will hold way more water than the clay pebbles and the draining won't be as affective, thus causing root rot. It would've been better transfering the roses while they're young so the roots arent so long and established.
hi.my miniature roses turned black.specially the buds.what am I doing wrong here? I'm living in the middleeast...n it's winter here... so i kept it outside so that it will get a good sunlight and fresh air. should I take the plant indoor ?
Try using "rooting hormone". Cut the rose stems at an angle and apply the rooting hormone before planting. The hormone will help new roots grow through so the plant can grow.
Can I use this system for hybrid hibiscus, gardenia and jasmine plants? Do we still need to use fungicide or pesticides like we do when planting the plants in potting soil ?
You would if you get soil based root fungus or pests. However, it will a lot less unlikely due to most fungus and root pests are caused by root rotting. When you mix this much of leca into the pot, you increase the growing media’s drainage ability and aeration. In this method, you are also transitioning the plant from growing soil roots to water roots. The soil will eventually shrink due to decomposition of organic material in the soil. Whenever you repot then you can shake off loose soils and fill the space up with more leca or pumice. Hope this helps
Hey i have miniatures pink roses i have placed them in enriched soil bought from my local market, here is very cold nordic country so i decided to keep them inside using hydroponic light and they are close to the window for the day light, but still they are getting dried and dying, i do not over water them, the room temperature is about 15-18 C. What am i doing wrong here?
