Irie up Yourself. My name is Ti 🇯🇲. Welcome to my channel, Irie Gardens💚 I'm gardening in NJ Zone 7a/7b.
My second year growing onions and my first year growing onions with strawberries as a companion and both years have been a success. I share my biggest take aways in this video but check out my initial planting video for info on how I amended the soil in that area.
These onions were started March 1 after my first set in February had such poor germination from "old" seed packets. It worked out perfectly with the strawberries because they were able to bulb up without being disturbed by strawberry picking or strawberries taking up space.
I also keep saying Alisa Craig and I don't know why/how I got that into my head but its Ailsa Craig. Leave any additional questions down below.

Thank you Ti for taking me along on your onion harvest. I love your style of gardening and video taking. I just subscribed and look forward to your upcoming videos. I am in zone 5, Wisconsin. This is the best year ever in my gardening journey, about 40 years trying to grow healthy food. Herbs and forging are my new passions. I am 75 and still learning. Be healthy and happy.

It does take a lot to start from seeds, but it is very rewarding when you see the crop. Continue to grow. Enjoyed your video.

Hi am new subbie here. Am so proud of your onion harvest. I have been trying to get mine to grow from seeds since last year and no luck. I will keep trying though. The weather is very hot here so I don't know if that is a factor of not being able to do so. I look forward to seeing your potato harvest. I planted sweet potatoes but I got a few, I think I harvested them a couple of weeks too soon. I have replanted some so maybe around the end of the year they will be ready. I hope you take a minute to see what I am growing in a small space outside my kitchen. I have more land mass but too steep for me to climb above and below my house. I am making that work anyway. You said you just came back from Puerto Rico, well am just like 60 minutes flying time from Puerto Rico. So glad you chose the islands to vacation, 💃

@@HomeCraftNThings2 thank you Ruth💚. Oh man, that can be frustrating but it’s good that you’ll keep trying. Make sure your seeds are new and you’re growing the right variety(short day) for your region. I love a good sweet potato harvest too. I hope you have better luck this year. I hope both of us have a better luck since I only got 3 last year 🤣. My neighborhood groundhogs love the leaves. I did a quick scan and you have so many interesting recipes. Can’t wait to dive into those.

Its very hot here though, and we are having very bad weather. You were lucky to make it to Puerto Rico before more hurricanes come.
