Sam Taylor = delusional perverted hater Awww, you're all butthurt because a famous person called you out for your evil perverse lifestyle. Cameron isn't destroying your pathetic life, YOU are.
Huh? You left out that one is a delusional bigot that not only believes ancient superstitions, but also uses his "fame" to push them on the rest of us, and under the threat of eternal torture at that. Yeah, you kinda overlooked that one a little bit.
pbot27 YOU are the delusional bigot and you're just butthurt over one famous person's public expressions of faith that contradict your wicked behavior.
Sateen Dubois Wicked how? Delusional how? You sound just like Kirk. Demonstrate the truth of your claims or run along and play with the other children.
this TV shows was introduced to China around 1995, and it is absolutely beloved by my generation. We saw what a typical american family look like, the culture, the different way of educating kids. Everything was interesting to us. I watched it over and over again during the summer holidays until i move to Canada. Good to see them to sit together again. Just love this "family". I was quite sad when the show ended.....
Roseanne is more like a typical family. Roseanne worked in manufacturing and Dan did construction. The family struggled to pay the bills. I say welcome to America : )
I love the manipulative editing in showing certain cast members nodding their heads to diferent parts of the interview than what is being said to make it look like they are agreeing.....they only fool the fools
Watching the show all these years later, it's still funny! It still works! Like many of you, I was fortunate to watch the show when it was originally airing. RIP Alan and Andy!
Betty Dockens You took the words right out of my mouth! I thought that exact same thing. It's the liberal media's way of discrediting and demeaning something that one holds so dear. Ironically, I don't see the media demeaning Buddhism, Muslims, or any of THOSE beliefs; only Christianity. 🙍
Margui622 Finally someone who sees religion as man made. Something people don't seem to understand is a lot of the time who are religious is that when your a Christian you just simply believe and trust in God. You don't have to ask for forgiveness because he took care of that when he died on the cross.
Considering she was only in like 48 of the 176 episodes I dont think she was a regular like the 5 main cast members that were in all 176 episodes (Except for Tracy Gold, she she wasnt in one episode so she was in 166). And she also didnt originally play the first Chrissy Seaver. The first one was played by two twins and only did 15 episodes each. Oh yeah, Ashley is one of my favorites on Blindspot.
I am not a hugely religious person, however you have to give Kirk huge credit. There were FAR worse things he could have been doing at 17 yrs old in Hollywood than going to church. He and his wife seem to be as solid as ever, and they have raised 6 children, several of them adopted and from different ethnic backgrounds. Good for him👍🏼
@Ac711 NO KIRK TURNED COMPLETELY AWAY FROM ALL OF YAHOSHUA TEACHINGS AS YAHOSHUA IS "THE WORD" GOD THE SECOND PERSON OF THE ELOHIM THE ONE THAT SPEAKS GOD THE FIRST PERSONS EVERY WILL--WANT. "THE WORD" WAS SENT DOWN FROM HEAVEN TO FULFILL THE PROPHECY AS WAS BE MADE FLESH AND IS THE PROMISED MESSIAH--CHRIST--ANOINTED ONE THAT WAS PROPHESIED OF FOR THE JEWS AND ALL GENTILES. KIRK HAS MADE UP HIS OWN FALSE TEACHINGS AND HAS TURNED SOOOO MANY PEOPLE FROM YAHOSHUA'S TEACHINGS AND HAS THEM FOLLOWING--BELIEVING IN KIRK'S OWN CREATED NEW FALSE TEACHING THAT HE HAS IMPLEMENTED BITS AND PART OF OTHER PAGAN BELIEFS TO ONE BELIEF. CHRISTIAN'S ARE NOT 'RELIGIOUS' AS EL SHADDAI--GOD ALMIGHTY, YAHSOSHUA, AND THE RUACH HOKADESH--THE HOLY SPIRIT THE ELOHIM' ARE NOT A RELIGION. A PERSON WHO COMPLETELY FOLLOWS DISCIPLE OF THE ONLY SAVIOUR FOR THE WORLD IS NOT A RELIGIOUS A AS WE ARE NOT OF ANY OF SATAN'S RELIGIONS AS OF 1 EXAMPLE BEING THE RELIGION CATHOLICISM IS SATAN'S THEY NONE OF THEM ARE A CHILD OF GOD ALMIGHTY.
The Jupiter 2 bigots? Why is he a bigot? You do realize that he is the father of several adopted children who came from non-caucasian backgrounds, right? Bigoted against what exactly?
Say what you will about Kirk, but I must say that I have total respect for him. Yeah, I'm a Christian, and I don't agree with everything he says or does, but then again, nobody agrees with everybody all the time. I do honestly think he's a good person with a good, kind heart and good intentions. I think he catches a lot of flack from people because he's not afraid of speaking his mind and expressing his beliefs, which are good things. As a fellow Christian, we need more people like him in the world. Maybe things wouldn't be in the state they are in right now with all the wars and people killing others if we had more people like him. I know I will probably be mocked and made fun of for this post, but I don't care. I've had too many things happen in my life for me to not believe there is a God. I know some will question how I can believe in something I can't see, but I will leave you with this thought: You can't see air, but you know it's there because you're breathing. Same for
+Robyn Wellman When Boner was having trouble and killed himself, I lost respect for Kirk. He had an opportunity to give God so much glory by going on a hunt for Boner. I know it was only a show and the friendship wasn't as close as the show, but then I have to ask what about the whole church culture..how fake or real is all that.. I watch that episode and it breaks my heart thinking about how ready he was to go that night. He must have felt so alone and anguished to take his life.
***** Well, 1st off it's God, not god..God is Jehova, god is baal or buddah or any other false idol...so When God says no, you just accept it as the answer. 2Cor1:20 "For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us."..so what he has promised us..it's a done deal..what we ask of or from him, it's up to Him to decide. He knows what's best for us, not us.
I think that's a "Canadian" thing; Canadians tend to be more mellow and low-key and polite compared to their cousins to the south. And Alan Thicke was 100% Canadian. I mean, the dude dropped dead in the middle of playing hockey...if that ain't "peak Canadian," I dunno what is. Maybe dying while playing hockey and enjoying a nice, cold bottle of Labatt's at the same time, you can't get much more Canadian than that.
People give Kirk a hard time. Maybe they would rather he be strung out on drugs, have been through several marriages, etc. Then maybe they would think he is cool.
Ashley Johnson aka Chrissy is missing. I guess possibly since the show featured her birth they didn't consider her to be one of the original characters or for Ashley Johnson to be one of the original cast members, but I think she should still be included in the reunion.
Kirk Cameron's latest bigoted and hateful remarks on "The Piers Morgan Show" about gays finally went so far over the line that at least two of the other cast members in the show "Growing Pains" felt obliged to speak up. Tracey Gold's comment made what she thought on the subject very clear: "I'm a strong supporter of the #LGBT community, and I believe in equal rights for all. #NOH8 #LOVE." She, also, posted a photo of herself with "NO H8" emblazoned on her cheek.
He said it was "unnatural" and "detrimental and destructive" to society. None of that is false. It is NOT natural. Stick the male end of an electrical cord to another male end and see what happens. Nothing. Same as with humans. Two males cannot make a child. Two females cannot make a child. Because...it's NOT NATURAL. Not having children DECREASES population - ding ding ding - which is "detrimental and destructive" to society. So...what Kirk said is true. Just goes against what you THINK is true. But...FACTS don't care about your OPINION. No matter how hard you stomp your feet.
Kirk can believe whatever he wants to believe. I support his RIGHT to do so.
9 лет назад
Erich Hoefert I support his right to do that, but I don't support his shoving his beliefs down other people's throats (and this is coming from a Christian).
Nobody is shoving anything down your throat! DON'T WATCH HIM! Presto- problem solved. But he ABSOLUTELY has the right to believe how he chooses to and to share his beliefs with those who are like-minded or who are interested. Just like you have the right to be a simple-minded, uneducated, hateful tool bag
@just because you say you are a ''Christian'' doesn't mean you are one. And by your comment I am guessing you have no idea what it means to follow Jesus Christ
Okay, I didn't read all of the statements, so sorry if this has already been brought up, but where in the Hell does Growing Pains get the title of first family of the 80s? I'm pretty sure that that the Huxtables rocked that one.
The Cosby show was good for the first season, but then it got to sweet-see-cutie-see. And knowing what I know now, I will never watch Bill Cosby again.
@Loreen Baksh So when Kirk Cameron calls a percentage of the population unnatural and immoral, you cite his freedom of speech. But when people criticize him for what he said, you tell those people to leave him alone. Don't the criticizers have freedom of speech as well? Why don't you tell Kirk Cameron to be nice and leave the gays alone? Do you not see your hypocrisy?
Yes, he's a Christian of the disapproving, prudish, abstemious type, isn't he? Perhaps there's a backlash from some who assessed Kirk Cameron on his 'pretty boy' looks and consequently attributed certain characteristics based on that. He's certainly entitled to his views. I don't know why Christian absolutists have a woody for homosexuality. Why such a bee in the bonnet. Anyway, I'm in Australia and I sure enjoyed watching Growing Pains on tv about 1987-8.
Madam Fragger At what percentage do I get to start whining? If I advocate that you should be murdered slowly, then you shouldn't complain about it, right? After all, you're just 1 person out of 6 billion. An even smaller minority than gays. You seem to think that a majority oppressing a minority is okay. Do you not see your lack of morals? Do you not realize that it's people like you pushing people away from god by showing the true colors of christians?
All religious zealots seem very on edge and judgmental to me. God bless you, Kirk. I hope you can find it in your heart to accept people like me as human beings who deserve the same rights as you. I'm just living my life, trying to be a good person. I don't want to disrupt your life, just please don't disrupt mine. Thanks!
It is funny how people who claim that Christians are anti-science are the ones who want say that you can be born one sex but really be another. How intellectual is that? How does that support scientific fact?
I love Kirk Cameron! ❤️❤️❤️ His movie's Left Behind, Fireproof, Mercy Rule... So good! 👌👍💞 I just love him and his Love for our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. ❤️❤️
Everyone calling Kirk Cameron names is only calling him names because he is a Christian. If he had not been a Christian, no one would be saying anything about him.
That's because he only became a notoriously insufferable dick after he found religion. Not a great ringing endorsement for Christianity - quite the opposite.
NO KIRK HAS TURNED AWAY FROM YAHOSHUA'S DOCTRINE AND MADE UP HIS OWN BELIEF THAT SOOOO VERY MANY ARE FOLLOWING KIRK NOT THE ONLY LORD AND SAVIOUR FOR THE WORLD YAHOSHUA WHOSE NAME I ABOVE ALL OF SATAN'S EVERY RELIGION, AS THE ELOHIM RE NOT A RELIGION AS THEY ARE NOT A RELIGION. IF HE DOES NOT TURNED ACK AND ASKS TO BE FORGIVEN AND FULLY REPENTS--CHANGES THE OLD WAYS OF HIS LIFE E WILL BE JOINING ALAN THICKE.
I follow Ashley Johnson (who played Chrissy Seaver) on Twitter. I started going through all the follows one time and found that all the cast follows each other and many guests that were on the show, including Julie Mccullough........ they all follow each other, except for Kirk that is. He follows none of them and they don't follow him. Its just kind of weird to (despite the chumminess they act here) just cut out that large part of your life. I mean Ashley was just a kid on the show and wasn't on for nearly as long as the others, yet still keeps in touch with them all.
Fair enough. I guess I meant more that they seemed to try to be appearing more chummy than they actually are.Tried to hide the fact that he is so much not a part of the rest, but hiding it poorly. Though it also wouldn't be polite to talk openly or point at him.
They are all trying to keep things professional and also come to a friendly understanding at the same time. I believe that they are friendly to him and he is friendly to them back, but Kirk's views don't mesh well with the others, so it's best to keep a certain distance from him. Doesn't mean they hate him, but sometimes it's best to keep some people at a distance in order to maintain a certain level of friendliness towards them.
They all keep in touch. Alan said that Kirk would Skype him sometimes. He and Tracey talk on the phone. They recently were on Kathie Lee and Hoda playing a game with his sister Candace and Jodie Sweetin. He was one of the first to tweet about Alan's death and wished Joanna good wishes during her cancer struggle. Just because he doesn't follow them on Twitter doesn't mean they don't keep in touch. They were all at Alan's funeral as well.
Mike Seaver was a trouble-making teen who often disobeyed his parents. When Kirk found Jeebus, he suddenly had a problem with the character. He’d say “we can’t have Mike do THIS, we can’t have Mike say THAT to his father, etc.” And the cast and crew naturally resented that. He was hired to play a role, not push religious beliefs. And as Thicke suggests, if you think the saccharine and benign GROWING PAINS sends an “evil” message, you’re in for a huge surprise on other TV and movie sets. Thankfully, I think Kirk is tamer now than when he first got religion, more measured in what he says; I like the gentle touch on Thicke’s shoulder with “No, I so appreciate what you’re saying; I want you to keep talking.”
@@leslieroldan4207 YOU MUST BE THE ONLY PERSON WHO DID NOT KNOW OF THAT. HOW COULD THAT BE OF YOU HAVING TO NEVER KNOW THAT? ARE YOU ALSO ANOTHER WHO DOES NOT KNOW THAT OBAMA WAS NOT BORN ANYWHERE IN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA AND IS FULLY MUSLIM BELIEF AND HAS ORDERED THE KILLINGS OF SOOOOOO MANY IN OUR MILITARY??? THE ONLY LAW THAT HAS NEVER EVER BEEN BROKEN BEFORE IN THE HISTORY OF OUR GOD FORMED, SHAPED AND BUILT WITH ALL BELIEF OF THE POWER OF EL SHADDAI--GOD ALMIGHTY, YAHOSHUA, AND THE RUACH HOKADESH--THE HOLY SPIRIT.
half of this country is religious while more than 90% claim to believe in God or a higher power, so what is the big freakin deal about this one guy? even if you don't agree with what he preaches, at least look at the fact that he's a very happy person who has a very positive life and tries to spread positivity to others.
I do NOT like how people say "he found religion" when talking about them giving their lives to the Lord. It apparently is very unpopular and uncomfortable to just flat out say "he accepted the Lord and decided to walk in the truth"...I saw how Candace Cameron was shut up on The View and how the camera rarely went on her. It's just so typical.
+LauraBeth Scibetta there are plenty of other sites on the internet explaining about the meaning of the word religion but I will just say that when I was Catholic I was religious. I am not Catholic and have renounced it. I have a spiritual relationship with my Lord. I am not bound to Him. I choose to follow His ways and no, it's not the same as religion.
+LauraBeth Scibetta " heaccepted the lord and decided to walk in truth." thats one opinion, another could br "he annoyed castmates that believed differently then him, as well as threatened cast and crew members, who chose not to believe in a god, with losing their jobs. the guy is a major league creep.
Wow! I know growing pains is the best thing that ever happened to me I don’t know about them! Lol 😂 now if I could just get a hold of it on Netflix or prime that would be awesome! Hint hint lol
wait a minute, wo hold up, before we even get into it, the Seavers are first family of the 80's? No. If you are going to name a TV "first family of the '80's" it would be the Huxtables. Okay proceed.
Actheman1978 No it doesn't matter, because the shows aren't on the air anymore. Why would ABC care so much about promoting a show that's not earning them any money?
Because they are not going to give free advertising and dvd sales to an NBC or CBS show. Think about it. That's like Calvin Klein talking up an old Polo line. This 80's show thing was probably just a way to see if reunion specials could net them some more ad revenue.
"You can't do anything unless that person seeks help" a) you could reach out and talk to the person b) if you're too timid or if he rejects, then notify his family of your concerns so ppl closer to him can reach out. c) I'm not really his brother; in fact, I don't remember making this comment. I'm usually just a troll, but this video touched a nerve so i thought i'd infuse some genuine melodrama into my usual rabblerousing At any rate, you sound like a good person, thanks for responding.
@@dzerres It's a scientific and logical impossibility that nothing created everything. Atheism is nuts. And we don't talk to no-one. We talk to a person who also speaks.
+Evil Eye Gypsy Well, Kirk is a complete douchebag asshole. He had people fired from the show due to his nutcase beliefs and nastiness. He made life hell for the staff on the show according to a few people who worked on the sitcom.
You're absolutely right! People start to feel attractions towards one or the other based on what they are exposed to which leads to what they think which leads to what they feel. Anyone who claims gay people have no control are either lying to themselves, or highly misled! The process which I listed above is how we become anything that we are.
Kirk was a talented actor & the show was awesome back in the day. We may not agree with his religion but it is not our life & it is his life so he has the right to be a Christian or not, the bottom line is u cant tell other ppl what to do with there life's we may not like it but it's there right to choose what is best for them.
I'm not a religious person but it's hilarious and at the same time SAD how some people get so offended by it. Take this clown *lurch321*... he's so utterly offended that Kirk would dare share his beliefs with other people and goes on to call him a douchebag when it's clear who the real douchebag is here... lol. The bottom line is religion helps a lot of people live a better life because it gives them certain guidelines on how to get through life and be happy, at least for them. If losers like *lurch321* don't want or need that in their life that's fine & dandy but the truly interesting aspect to this is how most religious people aren't bothered when people like lurch don't believe what they do yet people like lurch come absolutely UNGLUED if you don't believe how THEY do (no God, afterlife, etc). People like *lurch321* are totally incapable of just allowing people to believe in whatever helps THEM have or live a better life and are rather strangely compelled to talk shit about religious people while religious folks are more than happy to simply allow "lurch people" to believe whatever they want and live their lives however they want. So basically you have one group who is content to just let people live and believe whatever helps you have a better life while the other group feels compelled to dictate how and what others should or shouldn't believe in. Really illustrates who is who when you look at it the way things *really* are....
Mr. Allen C. Sokolik Jr. The problem with him is he tries to push his view as influence. He advertises a form of bigotry and tries to use it for a conversion. It goes far beyond simple opinion when you spend your days, money, and career on trying to tell the rest of us what is right and wrong because of a book you follow. It's kind of a sickness.
Mike Hawk I don't really give a frogs fat ass about Kirk Cameron's conversion, except for when it comes to Andrew Koenig, whom he never lifted one finger to help. Kirk's religion has pretty much nothing to do with his conversion, despite his christanity, he is a douche. I'm very happy he has found something that he claims has made him delirously happy, I just wish his happines didn't come with the price of hurting others.
Of course they don't. Even seemingly nice and "good" people have no interest in actual biblical truth because they are blind to it and can't understand it unless the Lord reveals it to them. It's what separates The One True Gospel from defiled and pointless religion. It has to be revealed by Him to the one upon whom He bestows His mercy. However, it also true that if anyone seeks they will find, but you have keep seeking and let Him decide when He is ready to reveal Himself to you. So many "good" people will read this and criticize this because do not even understand that they don't understand.
+jediprettyboy your that guy that would have worshipped Apollo and Zeus centuries ago. That's how deranged the human mind can be when it comes to religion.
+WontB Quiet TY. They did the same thing with Candace Cameron on The View. The camera rarely pans on her and when she tries to talk they cut her off or shoot down her viewpoint.
+LauraBeth Scibetta They treated Candace pretty well, actually. She and Nicole Wallace were certainly the Republican stand-ins, but they both got a really good reception in comparison with their predecessor Elisabeth Hasselbeck. The ladies ideologically disagree with Candace, sure, but they treated her very well in comparison with Hasselbeck. That's mostly because Cameron is being sincere and Hasselbeck was serving as a propaganda machine, but that's beside the point.
This was one of my favorite shows when I was a kid, and at what point did this turn into a gay, atheist, agnostic, liberal lets bash on Kirk Cameron Thread, Jesus Christ, hey if the guy doesn't approve of gays fine. at least hes not dead from an overdose like river phoenix, or is a drug or sex addict live your damn life the way you want to live, as long as you don't intrude or get into someone else's face. It bothers me to no end how the gays talk about their "rights" being gay does not mean you get special rights under the law, we all have individual rights under the constitution. it seems to me that this " gay rights agenda is just a thinly veiled attempt at getting gay people the status of a "race".
But his opinion on not approving homosexuality makes him a bigoted, homophobic, spaghetti-monster loving idiot. Just because he didn't "turn Hollywood" at 17 and went religious instead? He STILL became a hypnotized, herded sheep.
You are ill informed. "... live your damn life the way you want to live, as long as you don't intrude or get into someone else's face." - thats exactly what kirk and his friend ray comfort do. The thing about rights is not that they are arguing for different rights, just the same ones afforded to everyone else. If you cannot get that you may need to think on it a bit more.
The only "agenda" gay people have is what they're going to have for breakfast in the morning or what show to watch on TV after work. Gay people just want to be able to live their lives like everyone else. Being gay isn't a choice. People are born gay. No one would ever choose to be bullied, tortured, ostracized, disowned by family, refused service at a business or restaurant, evicted from their homes, fired from their jobs or even murdered simply for being who they are!!
Ransik Christians are not homophobes, That's about as ridiculous as saying gays are hetrophobes. We believe in God and His Word, it takes faith to believe in God and Christians have that faith. If you don't believe that's your decision, but don't bash someone who does
I knew a "Kirk Cameron" a childhood classmate, once called him a friend. This was from '98 -05. Hate televangelist type people who put themselves upon everyone, he's probably gay. Tracy Gold is the great human spirit of the group.
Kirk Cameron chose to work on what he believed in over all that he was tipped to become. He also married his wife young and they are still together. How many Hollywood stars can say that. I have so much respect for him.
Well that can only happen when someone finalky submit their life to Christ.. Kirk is a living witness that Jesus Christ is not a myth ;-) Who could make someone like him in his prime time as a very popular young actor.. a teenage and rich to leave all behind to pursue unseen God? Only Christ alone!
They should have also had the little girl who played Chris Seaver on the show, for the interview too. True, she didn't join the cast until later, but, she was still a member of the Seaver family.
It's weird how they refer to Kirk as "having found religion" as if he's in some strange underground cult. He's a Christian! This country was founded on Christian morals, why is it so taboo just to say "Kirk's a Christian." There's nothing weird about that. Good for him. He's a good man and follows his heart.
In January 2011, New Jersey passed one of the toughest anti-bullying laws: "Public school teachers, school staff members, and administrators will have required training on how to properly handle incidents of harassment. Faculty and staff will be required to report all incidents of bullying, inside and outside of school, and administrators who do not act on reports of bullying will be disciplined. Furthermore, students who harass other students will be punished for their actions."
