This was our childhood if you're an 80's/90's baby. Our generation was the last generation that had an identity. Who are these new cats? I mean from NBA, to NFL, to the music industry, none of these new cats have an identity like that. We're really the last great generation.
@@toreytownsend4705 true indeed went to nba game in 2017 and it was like watching a cba practice scrimmage game or something. felt like crappy robots playing air balls everywhere... the crowd all on their phones just so bizarre. I miss the 90s and early 2000s always wondered why they used the posted remix audio with nore on this video as opposed to regular posted from the shawna album kanye shrug... edit apparently the original posted only made it to vinyl and remix is the only on on the worth tha weight album,. I still have the vinyl with rpm on the bside.
Facts & I could relate I'm like damn these people has been living under a rock just because they didn't know how good was BBQ in (2002) but I know how good it was unlike people these days 💯
God I miss this era so much i could shed a tear. This reminds me of my childhood so much man family coming together at a BBQ and everyone having a good ass time with good food. No bs, no drama, no shooting, just love and fun in the sun 🥺
Yup, one of my absolute favorite things as a kid was family reunions. Never thought about it then but the biggest difference now and why I think they died is phones and social media. Nobody needs to reunite when you can watch and judge people's life from a device that fits in your hand.
This song brings back so much nostalgia for me, and it's about feeling nostalgic! I feel so many conflicting emotions... Don't grow up kids... I wish I never had.
@@Viso333 Even rappers outside of the USA is garbage and isn't even better. Good hip hop is rare to come across in general. It used to be at a point where you didn't even have to search for it because it was everywhere at one point.
Speaking from the South, Scarface is so on point. "Bondo Paint was all good if you had Bang, cause as long as you was riding you ain't need to have game". Hooptie/HooRiding.. "Mama had to monitor N*ggas ya hung around, to the point you had to go in the house when they come around"... Totally Real
Damn this brings me so much memories. My friends and I were 15 years old when they shot this video by my house in Sylmar, CA. We were there super hyped with our disposable cameras LOL. We even took a pic with 2Chainz before he was 2Chainz and I remember I said “IDK who he is but he’s with Ludacris so he’ll be famous one day” 🤣 I am now 32 years old. Damn crazy.
Omg I was there also. I still live in sylmar and this was Sylmar Park. Me and my friends were dancing in the back but they must've edited us out lol. We got a picture with big boy though and an autograph. Ludacris was a dick though. They came to our neighborhood to our park which is mainly a Latino park and they turned it into a black park. I always wondered why he didn't take his black ass to a park in Compton or something.
This was my whole child hood growing up In festac projects,no RU-vid,no nothing, just a bunch of Bootleg cds around the house, put growing pains on repeat..a lot of people don't know scarfs the reason Ludacris signed to defjam... when he was president of defjam south.. just a quick knowledge to u knuckle head kids 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Okay, I remember the days High rights, low lefts, even stevens and fades Troops, Lottos, and BKs, those was the days Hi-tec boots spray painted witcha names T-shirts airbrushed that read the same Thick herringbone chain, one gold with yo' initial Harris Photos, group shots, can you remember? Joe's and Thundercats We was lovin' that Before they started jackin' jacks For notes from Red Oaks had folks scared to come through College Park after dark, Crown Victorias police unmarked cars Be aware, Wayne Williams was out there, but we ain't care Kids was gettin' stabbed and ditched out there too busy playin' Double dare ya touch shorty on the ass, that's a bet Want your Kool-Aid and sugar, smack your hands and say "sweat" It's mine now place it in my Louis Vuitton pouch Thump a nigga on his knuckles make him say ouch Slouch socks, box Chevy Caprice Hot Niss, cut da whole Disturbin' Tha Peace Wit no conscience, broke niggas call 'em non cents No comments, it's Lil' Fate payin' homage to College Park We were tryin' so hard Hard to survive 'Cause even though we were young We had to stay strong No matter what we went through It was me and my crew And that's how it went When we were kids I had a Long John but no Silver, no gold or plat I was simply red from the years I been holdin' back With two sides to a book I lick stamps and light matches And set fires in garbage pails and cabbage patches A child of the corn been wild since I was born Climbin' over barbed wire, clothes got torn Shoes got muddy and my clique turned cruddy Wherever I go they went they my buddies I brush teeth, brush naps and calm streets Dreamin' of Cadillacs, wood wheels and plush seats Cats with gold teeth and raps with such beats Macks with no grief and some sacks of green leaf When I loaded my cap gun I was ready for action Starin' at beer cans and a moment to crack one Wanna hang with the big boys and play with the big toys And be with the people makin' all that got damn noise, man We were tryin' so hard Hard to survive 'Cause even though we were young We had to stay strong No matter what we went through It was me and my crew And that's how it went When we were kids We were tryin' so hard Hard to survive 'Cause even though we were young We had to stay strong No matter what we went through It was me and my crew And that's how it went When we were kids
How come hip hop right now doesn't sound this good anymore because everyone was telling a story of their life on this track. And on a side note I have a you tube channel type in Russell Mills May 22, 2017 to find me.
After all this shit happening in America right now this one hits the heart for the blacks getting treated wrong. I hope 1 day everythings go good soon🖤💔💯
Its 2019..and this beat, vibe of the video and..the (LETS DO IT AGAIN)..as i watch this video really can bring me to tears thinking about how quick TIME FLYS..im a 1984 baby and this its just a reminder how not to take life for granted because im 34 and all the good time I've had with my family and friends..its unfortunate to say but things change as people grow up and you sepeeate..you dont(EVEN KNOW IT)..till you can't get thst time back..its 2019..im Harrison L Jackson...
Man summer 02 I was 13 and it was my last summer being able to walk. Had sooooo much amazing fun that summer, can't believe it'll be 20 years next year SMH Video and song almost brings me to tears now
What happened to music like this 😭 music that actually had meaning. Back when you didn’t have to be naked or guys dressing like women (no offense) I just miss these times.
This song ended generations of racism in my family, I played it loud so my parents could hear, my Mother grew up poor and her bike was stolen… I knew this.. I was so sick of the hate.. I would play it over and over again…so they would KNOW… we are ALL the same.. TRYING TO SURVIVE!!! My parents died with a black Grandson.. who made them not see color!! Josiah was the generational curse end! 🙏 To all my black brothers and sister I LOVE YOU. I see your struggle. Y’all warriors man!! God bless you!!!
Black Americans are just too good, despite all they have been through yet they never allow their pasted situation to break them down, and this is exactly what I wanted from the South Africans, rather than fighting your fellow brothers from other Africa countries .
OMG, this brings back memories of me and my sister playing outside in the summer and spring months till the street lights came on. Nothing to do but watch cartoons on a Saturday morning. Those were the happiest days of my life. Sunflower seeds and kool-aid, favorite childhood snack.
I love this song. Reminiscing my child comes to mind. I miss my crew in Vietnam and Hong Kong from 4-8 years old. Such beautiful memories. Thanks Luda and crew for bringing me back. You are the funniest rapper alive Luda!
This reminds me of my high skool days and my daughter's mum she still insists on thin eyebrows 😂😂😂my current mumse is like baby look at her eyebrows fuck sakes 🤔😉😂
I miss this these youngins got more hate in them and they got everything they asked for. We had nothing and we loved each other back then we were happier. 😢
