Growing Plumbago in Clay Pot

Plumbago is a low maintenance plant loves the sun and grow really good in clay pots. Fertilize once every spring with Miracle Grow (follow directions of miracle grow) they do not like the winter frost but will come back in Spring if you cover them. Always remember to water your plants when planting in pots at least twice a week depending on weather.

I bought the plant at Home Depot. You can also find them at Lowe’s Good Luck

It doesn't get disease and root rot means poor drainage. It will spread planted in the ground. The roots get pretty deep.

Yours are amazing! I've planted a plumbago for my own for a few months now. Recently I noticed the leaves are drooping - but it still flowers though. Is it because I've been overwartering it?

Beautiful. I just bought (2) 1 QT for our front patio. I am planning on leaving them permanently potted in 5 gallon clay pots. What's the best way to prune these fells? I have noticed since potting them they have started taking off. Do they need aggressive pruning as I understand when planted in the ground they get pretty big.

My plumbagos are in medium size clay pots. When I got them they were all blooming. Now they are long and lanky and hardly blooming. What do you think is the solution?

If you plant them in the ground they will grow 8 feet tall and 10 feet wide and spread. They are invasive. If you do not want a large plant you will be forever trimming them.
