I think this is a great idea... and I agree with the others in that the video could have easily been edited down to half the time. I had to fast forward to appreciate it. It would also be extremely helpful to know what the soil mixture was, as well as actual sun exposure.
sorry to be so off topic but does any of you know of a trick to get back into an Instagram account..? I somehow forgot the login password. I love any help you can give me!
@Ronin Omari thanks so much for your reply. I found the site on google and im in the hacking process now. Seems to take a while so I will get back to you later with my results.
This is good to know bcuz ive been propagating on soil for several months now and it's been pretty dismal and slow going. I was wondering if this was really this great
I haven't had a chance to do it yet. Husbands been in an out of hosp since Aug.2019. But, I'm still going to do it. Over the years I've grown a lot of things like/similar to this. You can grow the green onions only for so long. As they grow, they are pressed tightly against each other. When onions start to rot...gag, I have to get away from the smell. I plan on trying strawberries. But I will use a gallon plastic gallon bottle. Instead of making holes, I'm going to cut ( cat ear shapes ). Not evenly spaced so they'll hv room to spread out. Thus yielding more berries. I do know I've been growing other things since plastic containers became cheaper. Good luck everyone. Hv a blessed day 🌷
2 weeks later: The leaves in the plastic bottle are rooting! I also put a group of leaves in soil, but the plastic bottles works best! All my leaves in the bottle have roots so far!
É claro que vou usar esta ideia, parece fácil, SQN, tem que ter disciplina, paciência e,,,,gostar ! Amo manipular as plantas terras, minha terapia intensiva ocupacional, alívio na Alma!
Wow! I didn't know you could propagate cuttings this way. I am going to try this on succulents. I'm terrible at changing out the water, but with this method I won't have to.
I definitely need to try this! With my busy schedule I sometimes forget to keep my props moist, this is a creative way to provide just enough humidity for them to flourish and not rot.
I would love to try this with several varieties of succulent leaves. I have them in pink, bluish, purplish and dark purple. I will try leaving them in a bottle and see if I can get a bottle full of new sprouts on the leaves to make it more interesting growing in the bottle. Or maybe make larger holes and fill the bottle with potting soil and plant the leaves right into the potting soil and allow them to make little plants. So cute if it will work. So any way I'm going to try it. Love the idea for starting the roots in the bottle.
