The stone golems spawn at the edge of the land NEAREST YOUR TOWER....you need to keep the land even on each side to keep one side from spawning them too close to the tower to defend from them.

How does the castle make use of the gold? There doesn't seem to be anyone to trade with. Also having all the mobs fly is a clever way to avoid having to deal with pathfinding.
