I also feel like they can choose because they have experienced both. People who grew up rich dont have that mind set. Alot of times rich people kids end up being bad, like how could u mess up with all that opportunity because they do have the ambition to get better because thats all they ever had and they cant fully grasp how sort of traumatized you need to be to seek a better future and be super rich. Like I understand that I've been traumatized or it's just pride, to want to be ad rich as I want to be, but it's because of me growing up poor that I can idealize being rich and actually see it as a better experience. There is no better experience when you grow up rich, u live that experience everyday so it's the norm.

Ideas of Africans as inferior, backwards and barbaric can be traced back to those justifying slavery in the 18th century. Finally, you mention child soldiers and slavery. All real problems that should be addressed with knowledge and on the appropriate platform. But I will say, these problems do pain/ stain us as well. Perhaps the same way people attribute sex trafficking and gang crime to America. All these issues are rooted in violence and underdevelopment. At the same time they do not exist rife throughout although there is significant human suffering and loss. The events of last summer with BLM and EndSARS should prove that no matter where you go, things remain the same: the black struggle is real everywhere. Sometimes perpetuated by people who look like you with power and evil in their hearts. Our best hope is not to make enemies with one another ✌🏾
