Oh My God, this is soooooooo accurate 😂😂😂 My mum always embarrasses us with the suitcase issue in the airport and the translator part is too funny 😭😭 glad you made this video.
😂😂 glad you think so - not going through the airport trauma with my mum every summer is the best part of adulthood 😂. The translation is a thing of our generation, the younger ones will never know 😂
That’s really funny, I can relate as an east European. So many things are done the same way, as in the home family or when going or coming from our own country.
Very similar to South Asian culture: luggage packed to bursting point, family gets priority over your plans, old relatives talking for hours on illnesses, medication, etc, offering tea the moment you appear on the doorsteps...
I can relate even though I'm not Turkish 😄 my Mum throwing the slipper at me always twacked! made contact. I love your stories I couldn't stop smiling.
'Turkish parents do not care for your plans' 😅 so true. I laughed so much especially about the airport. 😅 I can relate to everything on this video from own experience. 😅😅😅
I had a different thought watching your video. It's not obviously the first time someone made fun video about the household they were brought up in, I don't know why this one knocked me real hard. I am an IMG from Bangladesh. When I visit my country, I love buying different things for my sister's, my niece nephews and other friends and families. Sometimes my luggages are super full. I do that out of my affection for my own people. Now, I am finding very difficult to except that when I will have a kid, they will find it funny and embarrassing to some extent. I have no hard feelings for you at all. I totally understand it was a silly fun video. But, it definitely moved my feelings.
Sorry that you felt that way. As you said it wasn’t my intention at all, I was more referring to parents taking up children’s luggage space for the gifts rather than the gifts themselves. Hope that makes sense
Thé way my mum still does all these things 💀I’m not even Turkish but this was too relatable ESPECIALLY the illegal food smuggling 😭😂 the last time we travelled together we had a whole yam and dried catfish in our luggage and I was convinced I’d have a nothing to declare moment and get stopped by customs we made it lucky 😩
this is literally the funniest video about being Turkish. i have to admit that while listening to the Turkish doctor-Turkish patient part, i found myself wondering which city you are from 😂 why does that even matter, what difference could it make, i’ve got no clue. that same old instinct indicates our nationality better than our Turkish ID number lol
omg these also apply to arab parents as well, especially the watermelon and cheese thing! we eat that at suhoor in ramadan! (and, of course, the infamous flying slipper that you have to return to your mom afterwards lol)
I was literally eating watermelon while watching this lool. I’m Pakistani and I was wondering do all the adults and older relatives talk about politics all the time at family gatherings. It practically happens in every Pakistani household and its annoying 😂
Heyy I can totally understand We recently traveled via Turkish Airlines and they gave us bunch of different types of cheeses for breakfast 🙈 Also,i have been watching Turkish Dramas with English subs so now i know where they’re gonna take the next turn 🤣 But it helped me in learning few Turkish words 🙈
@@DrEzgiOzcan i knowww right.Told you it’s guilt pleasure.Even i said güle güle to my flight attendant 😂 Anyways cannot wait to visit Turkey Hope we get over the COVID soon
@@DrEzgiOzcan the size of weddings, we have hugeee weddings in Nigeria with like a 1000 people, even 3000 at times! Treating the luggage limit when travelling as a target 😂, packing so many things for family back home like deodorant etc you mentioned, pretty sure I’ve seen a few Nigerian aunties with those mummy slippers lol.
All the time!! 😀 I actually want to be helpful but they dont realise that I'm limited in what I can say or advice without seeing all their results and examing them etc. So I only just give small pieces of advice and tell them to speak to their own doctor
@@DrEzgiOzcan I'm pursuing my medical from Russia so I wish to do duet video with my senior doctor I mean with you, to analyse, experience of two different countries Medical facilities.
I'm persian which means I'm from IraN 🇮🇷 ( a country in the middle east just like turkey 🇹🇷 & I could relate to almost all the things you guys said ... loved watching this video 😂😍❤ persian/Iranian people are obsessed with "saffron" & "pistachios" so they always put some in their suitcases , what about Turkish people??
I'd say 98% of this arabs do specially the weddings they are MASSIVE and every wedding you end up knowing more relatives you didn't even know they exist.
Watching this video is funny but Turkish and Arab are the same blood we get angry on things that is unnecessary not like English people western they why ethnicity people have so much health problems at age of 40-50 western people age of 40-50 they are fit like 18 years of age
