@@sadetwizelve You sound like a hater. 2pac and Nas were several generations ahead of Nipsey in terms of age, so just like any student of the game, youre gonna study the greats that done it before you and add your own twist. Nip a certified legend, do your research on him properly.
I truly don’t get how anyone could not like Nipsey. Dude was as SOLID as they come. His music was 🔥 Victory Lap EASILY one of the best Hip-Hop albums of the decade. Dude was a visionary and so just much more than just a rapper. I still get sick at the thought of his death.😔😔😔 The culture got robbed the day Nip was killed.
That definitely can happen if your haters see you trying to improve your situation in your area to improve your life and the life of others within your area but when your haters see you get the love and attention they too want it
I’m glad I knew Nipsey Hussle before he died. I actually played one of his songs from his mixtape. He did a song with CeeLo Green and I love it and I forgot the name of the song. He didn’t have to die because someone who knew him was jealous of him. He was a great philosopher. He was an entrepreneur at heart.
i honestly didnt like his music until he died. I remember when he 1st came out, he was on one of the last Smack dvds. then he sold his mixtape for 1k each copy. now I kinda see his vision
I knew of Nipsey Hussle, I didn't rock to his music - everyone acts like he was this legend when he was local and everyone only learned his name after his passing - no disrespect to the dead, its the truth -
It's not he was in the game for a long time was respected by his colleagues and was nominated for a Grammy right before he died he was on the up and up and was making moves he was well known at the time of his death
Nipsey is a legend. He did a lot in the rap game, but he did even more outside of it. There are many legends that didn't go mainstream, that doesn't mean he is not a legend. It's not like LA isn't the second biggest city or California isn't the 2nd biggest state in the country or something like that. Soulja Slim is a legendary rapper from New Orleans (my city) that some people don't know much of or about but many others do. To the point Rihanna had his face on a t shirt, he dated Macy Gray and was well know by many. I'm sure you seen Nipsey chillin with JayZ on this video. So he was known.
He is this generation PAC just a true legend to LA I'm from long beach ca I love and miss him and his speeches and bars RIP and shout out to you SG keep it up I been down since day one with the basketball and now the rap content my guy good job
Thanks so much for this one this was so spot on nipsey was an excellent person and everything these rappers today need to model them self after to help our culture become better anytime we have someone who is trying to push our ppl to higher levels and are truly reaching them on a large scale they get murdered shit is so sad Rip to the great nip the next legendary artist in hip hop
He started pushing a business mindset around the time music started to pick up for indie artist and he didn’t mind giving that knowledge. Being indie and doing your own business got cool and he just so happened to already be doing that.
Also, can you please do a video on Mya, YoYo, Boyz II Men, Brian McKnight, Will Smith, Trippie Redd, Saweetie, Alessia Cara, Azealia Banks and Wack 100
False!!! They at least HEARD of him. But music is very regional in a lot of cases. So a lot of people didn’t listen to him outside the West Coast. I’ll give you that.
False. I'm from the South and I heard of Nipsey years before he died. It's not about whether or not you heard of him; it's about knowing the impact he made when he was alive.
i heard the name nipsey hustle but i never heard a single song from him, didn't know how he looked and just didn't know anything about him in general so yea you can say i never heard of him until after he died.
@@UnderdogBT what impact exactly though? all i here is overall general terms of how he was a philanthropist and tried to teach the hood a business mindset but no one says specifically what he did that made him a legend. put a little money into some playgrounds and bought some school supplies?
Havent seen it yet... feeling myself should have push him.. sad moment it kinda push lloyd a little more but i think they couldnt figure how to market nip tho
I sort of disagree with what you had said about Tupac and XXXTentacion, when it comes to their music. I think that they had made music that helped people. But they had also made aggressive music that was talking about violence. So they had did both
@TheOne-bh9oo um no. It's not. It's a fact...he was known but not regarded as a top tier artist. So stop. No shade to him...I knew him. But he never blew up...
rest in peace nipsey but i still don't get it, i mean i still don't understand what exactly he did besides put some of his rap money into the community here and there, maybe that's enough, maybe all you need do is give people stuff and they'll love you
A non Black posing as a Black gangster, He pretty much got what he asked for!!! Calling another grown man a snitch to his face in broad daylight in front of everyone is a recipe for disaster, Not bashing Nip I'm just speaking facts!
“A non Black”🤔 His mom is African American and his father is from Eritrea (Africa) between Sudan, Ethiopia, and Djibouti. Tf u talking bout “non Black”😳… 🤦🏽♂️
@MarkHallOfFame mainstream doesn't matter. Your rating is based on the people that rate you,he could've been as underground as you can be and still be overrated by those who rate him in the underground. He was overrated because he did nothing great in music. What did he do or accomplish in music that was great? His flow was basic and redundant, his voice was aggravating he sounded like he was going through puberty, his content/style wasn't unique to himself. We heard Pac,Nas and Goodie Mobb talk about the same things 23yrs prior and he added nothing new to it. Don't nobody even play his music no more or mention him in songs. Yall didn't keep the marathon going. If you did then Kendrick "uniting gangs" wouldna meant shit because the unity would've still been going when niggas did the SAME THING when nipp died. Nobody denounced their affiliation or unified opposing gangs together or improved their hood. It was all bullshit,he died for nothing. A husband, father, millionaire (supposedly) shot dead trying to be super crip in the streets. So he wasn't that wise,he said "I'm a rolling 60s crip before anything" so that was more important than being a husband and father? Him trying to be a street messiah prophet philosopher? He was a fool that sounded wise, like pac. Plus he came out in the face tatt mumble era so he seemed better then he actually was in comparison. Plus, most of yall ain't played his music probably none this year. That's why he's overrated.
@@MarkHallOfFamethere’s was nothing groundbreaking about his raps or his style yall just like him cause he died. Yall got a bad habit of gassing dead rappers.
