The Flashpoint stand would be great to have for light LED lights, so I may have to give this a try. It's nice to see something better than the cheap light stands that everyone seems to inevitably regret buying. I have two of the Matthews Maxi Kit steel stands, and highly recommend them. They fall somewhere between this Flashpoint stand and a C-stand; decent weight capacity and easier to transport than a C-stand. For grip work with flags and scrims, I think a C-stand and shot bags are more reliable and safer.

Most of my lifht stands are the neweer ones I got in my beginning days that were like 50 bucks for 5 of them. They've lasted and are good for small lights. Think I'll replace them with these at some point

Nice review. I bought two of the yellow 13' when I got started with strobe sports photography. Unfortunately, on the tension screws stripped the first time I pulled the stand out on location. Adorama refunded me right away, and the other has held up well, but it hasn't been one of my main stands, so it doesn't see regular use. I read great things about the Impact heavy duty air stands at B&H, so I was planning to pick one of those up to compare them.

Great video I use a neewer vision5 with a glow ez lock 38 in that just got delivered my light stands all have fallen over with my flash and that softbox on it but I can't return it because i know it will be a very long time before I can ever afford another so yea I want one these look amazing

I have manfrotto 1004 and 1004bac's and mathews stands, I use alor of speedlites if one was being used with a small umbrella flashpoint would due on a budget, I dont believe I would use a triple speedlite bracket with those stands

In my opinion it would serve that function just fine. Those are well within the weight limit. HOWEVER, as noted, it's not a tiny stand you can jam into your current camera bag (depending on the bag, of course)
