That is really nice! You recently installed a trailer hitch and rack on my 2023 Goldwing. However, if something like that had been available at your shop I would have purchased it. I think a lot of Goldwing owners would be interested in a set up like that because it is a good viable option for those who do not want to pull a trailer. If you would put a kit like that together l would be very interested in buying it and I think others would be also!
I am curious about blocking the rear lighting, I think that’s a great concept with more lights’. your creativity never ends! Glad to know you are still creating great things.
I can't take any credit for this concept. Pakit Rak sold a great product for a very long time. They decided to call it quits last year. I might be able to fill that void.
I've been looking for something like this for quite some time. I don't have a hitch or a rack either. I know if you come up with something it'll be safe and quality so please do......
I have a Pakit Rak that I use on a Bushtec Trailer Hitch. It, like this box covers the license Plate. Frankly, I just ignore it and will deal with it if and or when I get stopped for it. I also added an aluminum angle bar and mounted a multifunctional LED light bar, since I already had power there for when I pull my Bushtec or now a UniGo Trailer, because some of the rear lights are also covered. Just some thought and or comments. That BOX is a GREAT find though.
I like it but would like a piece of metal along the bottom inside to deflect the exhaust. I know there is debate on if the bag will get hot or not. But I just like the idea of blocking the exhaust. And a place to move the lic plate to the box or the frame of the box
Yes brillant max i am totally interested in this and would buy it i saw that bottom piece that hooks to the trailer mount and was thinking of buying it so i could put some waterproof duffle bags that i would tie down but after seeing this video wow i like that setup so much better and would buy it in a heart beat
Have a look at the C-Way trailer box mount with lights for some ideas Max it’s a good kit for About £1200 delivered to the UK includes a tow hitch as well.
@@Traxxion I would like the tray with a way of a quick detachment with of course the lights etc . That set up you showed but with lights and a licence plate holder .
Very interested I look all the time pakit rak someone might want to sell . Don't want to pull a trailer . Looking forward to what you come up with . Everything I have of yours is top notch!!
Love that IDEAL, I been looking at a system like this from a builder in Ukraine, but you know the deal with that. Max this is a project that you should run with for many reasons. It looks better than a trailer on the end of your bike and will also balance the bike out well when riding with a passenger for sure. Max this has your name all over it please run with it. 3:05
Just a thought… any weight you load behind your back tire it takes some off the front wheel… oh I got another idea that if one puts much weight in that box then maybe let the wife drive lol and put some more weight on the steering axle, (just humour here)
Hey Max , I would be interested in that set up on the hitch for sure....I could make a dog box as well for my Jack Russell....let us or your members know if you do come up with this Rear Box Kit
Max. build us all a nice rack system that works with existing trailer hitch units..revco etc. I like the grunt Top box a lot with the quick connectors. I want to haul a small cooler but the base racks I see online are super small.
Will you be designing a specialized rack for this application? I really think it's great for those long trips especially when riding two up. Thank Again
This just an idea i would thow out to you and see what you think since this box covers the license plate maybe you could ad some kinda bracket on the back of the box so we could take our license plate off and just slide the license plate in like a slot were you go from the top of the braket slide the license plate downward that would require no screws for the license plate so its easy to slide in and out and when not using the box take the license plate out and put it back in original spot just an idea i am sure you would come up with something amazing but that way we dont have to worry about getting pulled over and get a ticket cause cops cant see the license plate what do you think about that
I just watched a video where he was showing the ric rack system with wheels and a handle. I would be very interested in the case if it had wheels and a handle.
I have not used this set up but I should think it is a much better solution than the top rack mounted on the trunk. (Which I have and hate) So, yes. Maybe slightly smaller actually. 2 helmets and a jacket. (?)
Grunt sports sells a smaller volume case as well. I am going to research all of this next week to see if I can't come up with a complete solution. It does require a trailer hitch styled framework as well.
You'd be disappointed. You can put your hand right on the muffler right when you stop. It's not hot at all. What looks like a muffler is a fake box around the real muffler.
The biggest downside of the 2018+, especially the first 3 years prior to the top trunk expansion, is the luggage capacity for 2 riders. I've just learned to pack tighter and run soft-sided luggage with light stuff on the luggage rack or dry bag. Solo, you can rig a bag to the seat. I'm not a buyer of this extra trunk, but it's a nice piece. QUESTION for any LEO's in the group: Obstructing the plate?!?!
@@Traxxion When everyone else fails...Max to the rescue! :) Also nice of someone else to make a product for your existing product for a product that no longer exists.
Hello Max Please that is a great ideal to have that Top Box on the end of the Goldwing, the trailer ideal is ugly and too much of a problem and looks old fashioned to me. I been thinking about the same ideal piecing parts together on a motorcycle trailer hitch. There is a guy in Ukraine that builds the same system, his Utube name is Rusian_C-Way Korobkov. The problem with his company is that he is building these things in a war time environment and there are issues if you ever going to see your product due to the war between Russia and Ukraine. I would love to purchase something like this from YOU my friend. Please, Mr. Max you need to move forward with this great ideal for us Honda Goldwing owners. By the way, I just return from a long trip from South Carolina back to Austin Texas on my wing, the only problem was I had a soft Saddleman bag it was pushing me to much forward. To add a trailer hitch and this top box would have been perfect. Max please make-build, make that move buddy we are waiting and ready to purchase 👍🏾.
