That's good news. I have since found out that this product is stolen from Herd 360. Spypoint convinced the factory that makes his designs to sell them to him... so I don't buy them, I buy Herd 360.
You certainly could do that. Our deck is pressure treated lumber that was fully coated with high grade exterior Benjamin Moore Paint, so I'm comfortable with the "seal" on the lumber.
@Max McAllister & Traxxion Dynamics / @Traxxion - Not sure if I mis-understood or what... but I did not get the modified plastic Honda trim piece. If that is not included, is there a template to download showing how I need to cut the plastic trim piece?

@@Traxxion 🤣 too late now! Hahahahahaha... I modified mine based on the first videos... had not seen that one you linked in the reply. It is installed. All good. Maybe later I will get a replacement trim cover and do it again. Thank you for the prompt reply and all that you do for the Gold Wing community. Already have many of your products on my new 2024 Honda Gold Wing Tour DCT. The way you designed the protection engine plate was outstanding!👍 Next will be to order the Tip Over Protection kit.
Wonderful info, Max. I want to do the flash but there is no option for those of us who use Mac Computers. Wish there was a solution other than trying to find someone with a PC who would loan it to me. Does BT Moto give the option of sending the ECU directly to them to flash? Love all your stuff, Max. Keep them coming!!
I'll apologize in advance if these questions have been raised and answered already. I have an 01 DCT Tour. In stock trim, the low-speed throttle response is a bit unpredictable, and "snatchy". Using rain mode helps this a bit. Does this upgrade address this snatchiness? Having unpredictable throttle response is annoying at low speeds, ESPECIALLY two-up. The throttle is a bit touchy in sport mode, I seem to have heard the this mod smooths that out quite a bit. Next, Once the ECU has been reflashed, can it be easily returned to OEM mapping without a bunch of effort? Lastly, has anyone noticed any appreciable difference in fuel mileage? I don't care about removing the limiter, etc., but I'd be interested in smoothing out the rough edges in the mapping - maybe how an OEM would do it if the government didn't have their nose in it. Thanks for any input -
Yes, it very specifically smooths out throttle jumpiness. It only affects Tour and Sport Modes. Increase in fuel economy is pointless to talk about since no two people ride alike and environments are completely different. It does offer an almost 10% power increase all across the range. Once both tunes are in the Handheld, you can switch back and forth easily without any interaction from a PC or BT Moto.
That's our core business. The rest of this is all ancillary. Changing the shocks out on the bike will support it dramatically better under cornering loads, without really moving the seat height.
Mine came with the FAKE plastic RAM mount which broke in the first week of use. I replaced it with a real RAM mount, and it works well. Change the plastic arm with the aluminum RAM and you'll be better off. As far as the solar panel, it won't keep up with the camera. Who has 24 hours of sunlight to charge the internal batteries as recommended.
I have been using the Herd 360 panels, as I later found out Spypoint stole the Herd 360 design. They convinced the factory in China that was making Herd's products to sell directly to them with their own name on it. I have them on 5 cams, some without fully sun, and they have always worked fine.
Thanks for the setup video, theres not much information on this release. I just picked up a Blackout Distinct Compound bow, and one of these release up today. Your video definitely helped me set it up. I was a bit hesitant to purchase it as there reports that they fail, but I feel like they just haven’t set it up properly. How is it holding up for you? Any issues so far?
That cruise control module is not on the 6 speed manual bagger. I'm guessing that has something to do with tour models only. Pretty straightforward install, just time consuming. Took me about 2.5 hours to complete--great video instructions
@@johnanderson9735 My dad was an electrician... he'd say the architect/engineer made plans that couldn't be installed in reality, and it was his job to actually get things installed and the job done in "reality". Frequently, paper was just a "good suggestion".
Clearly, you didn't watch this video to the end. I lift two adult men seated on the bike. Technique is all that's required. If you can't put a 900# bike on the centerstand due to "age and disability" then it might make sense that you shouldn't be riding a 900# bike. Throw a 3rd wheel on it and keep on riding... safely!
Excellent information. Nothing against anyone wishing to do this but I won’t be. Price for what you get doesn’t justify cost. Then I would have to pay someone to install it due to my limited computer skills. Here’s my take; the GW DCT is awesome as is. And the enemy of good is better. Thanks for the great videos.
Thanks for doing this, I’m very interested in hearing what you think about this post flash. I like your desktop setup, I had multiple displays when I was doing IT work. It was much easier to monitor and work with several applications at the same time.

Thanks Max! I picked up the Tuner from the shop on Monday, read bike and uploaded file on Tuesday, had file and bike was flashed with new file by Wednesday. It really was not all that difficult, but it was unnerving making sure to HOLD the switch to the off position. However, with your videos making us all aware of where that was really needed, it took away all the apprehension of performing the flash. All in all it was NOT that difficult of a process, IF, IF, you watch a few videos, read the instructions. NOW on to the results. Wow, what a difference. Having a 6-speed with Traxxion suspension upgrade, I never really had much issue with Sport mode. Yeah it was a little clunky on-off throttle, but the suspension took care of a lot of that. NOW with the flash upgrade, the on-off throttle is even better, and the POWER delivery is amazing. Sport Mode is totally usable (user-friendly) and the bike is a rocket ship. Thanks again Max, for offering the product and showing how to use it.
Great tips. I'm doing my own deck, first time using the Camo. Thank you. Did you set the picture frame first & then fill in? My deck is a rectangle with no tricky angles, I'll just miter the corners.
If I had it to do again, on my handrails I 45'd the corners and fit them flawlessly. 6 months later, they look like shit, like an idiot made them... huge gaps, misaligned, etc. I would do an overlap join on corners to prevent this. A SUPER KEY consideration is where your centerline or center board might be. Our deck we used a line... that goes from our front door all the way out the back of the deck probably 80 feet. Then we spaced the boards going away from there. You will want to do the portions of the frame that "cap" the boards. So if they are perpendicular to your house, you want to do the horizontal board at the edge of the house and the far board at the edge of the deck. Leave material on each side. Then run your boards. The last board on each side might hang over more than you want, but that's not really a problem. If it is, you can rip that board down some to get the fit you want. Then trim the cap boards to match. There's no way to over analyze this or over plan it. I would suggest sacrificing a board or two and cut them into 2' lengths and make a "live layout" and just see how things will fit before you ruin a bunch of lumber and waste a lot of time.
@Traxxion okay. I never thought of how complex building a deck can be. The idea of putting one up in 1 weekend, well, is a joke. Fortunately, I'm a DIY-er without time constraints, and I want it to look beautiful in the end. I like the idea of mapping it out before I fasten boards down. Thanks for sharing your expertise.
Also do not be alarmed by the flashing lights on the dashboard during this process. That is normal for this process and means that the ECU is in programing mode. The long hold switch off is indeed critical in this phase. BT-Moto has a video up on their site that explains this very clearly but I agree that the written directions are not as clear on this point. Beyond that just follow the directions on the handheld Flasher.
