On drones, couldn't one take the time and ambush localized points of control? As an option. Just saying from an old tact PsyOper

For conversation sake Im going to throw this our there. It is about the raw numbers in combat. If I need someone to be able to carry 600+ rounds of linked 7.62 in their already loaded down gear, they don't carry a % of machine gun ammo based on their respective body weight and size. I cant stand physical fitness evaluations that award smaller stature folks more points for essentially accomplishing less, because "they're doing better for their size" comparably. In combat, % doesn't matter, sheer strength matters. Maybe that 6 foot 300lbs dude is benching comparably less in terms of his own body weight to the small guy, but in the end the bigger guy is still able to put up/carry more weight, which in terms of combat, equates to more ammunition. Some row tests are what really come to my mind. I'll see smaller guys get much higher percentages then bigger guys even know they don't row as far. % doesn't matter in combat, none of that is relevant, its how much can you do regardless of what you look like. Im a proponent of one standard physical fitness tests across the board. Same should be the case for women trying to serve in combat arms. The enemy doesn't give two shits if your male or female or what your body type is.

They’ve already got a brigade combat team at Campbell that’s running scout drones.

I keep telling people who talk about how they're gonna do this or that; look at the world around you. Look at your wife, girlfriend, family, grocery store, gas stations, etc....now imagine it no longer existing. Imagine America never looking the same, never feeling the same, no more cohesion, no more "United States." To the person saying go to exhaustion... He doesnt seem to understand the difference between muscle fatigue and muscle failure. The reason we military folk can go for days and days on reduced rations, reduced sleep, massive distance movements under load, and still perform under combat stress is due to going through muscle fatigue 1000s of times before going into failure. Then, we are trained to give our bodies time to recover back to just before failure, then we do it all again. Yeah, it stresses the body, and many ppl get injured. Just how it is being a soldier. You have to get real comfortable with the fact pain is a part of life.

I've had the same argument on the amount of weight someone can lift vs their bodyweight. Its never about raw numbers, it's about percentages; what percentage of you can you slap on the bar and lift. 100% of your bodyweight for compound lifts is a good starting goal for non-lifters. 200% of your bodyweight is a good medium-long term goal depending on the muscle group.

Why 70% of your body weight for the overhead press? Thats a very specific number said with great confidence. I remember seeing a lot of military press movements in WW2 documentaries but I haven't seen it addressed modern culture . The problem with running vs rucking cross over is ▫️A lack of cadence discipline ▫️Stride length ▫️No traps

As Rippetoe mentioned, that is a baseline minimum for all soldiers. A strong press indicates the true "functional core strength" everyone mistakes for planks and other silliness, and also is associated with shoulder stability as well as transitional power through the whole body.

Ok so youtube won't let me post comments for some reason. Try Malta to bulk. I tried describing what it is but I guess something about what I said was taboo.

Randall, you have to be careful with all of that milk consumption. I’m speaking from experience. I consumed 4 gallons of milk a week, and I developed kidney stones and suffered damage to my right kidney. That kidney was only functioning at around 30%, and there were 8 kidney stones lodged throughout that kidney. My left kidney was only functioning at about 50%, and there were 4 kidney stone lodged in that kidney, and I had 1 stone lodged in the left urator that measured around 5mm. I had to have them surgically removed back in early 2021 during the whole Covid fiasco. The doctor said that the stones were caused by calcium toxicity. So I say to you all, be cautious about how much milk you consume. I don’t wish kidney stones on anyone.
