You and Dan did a fantastic job on your home, its very elegant, airy and beautiful. May you have many many glorious, happy years in your home making wonderful memories.
I’m so happy you are back to three days a week! I would love to see a fall styling video. I am interested to see what kind of staple pieces you will be wearing throughout the fall and winter months! ❤️
for the basement and couch situation, could you put the tv on the opposite wall (so you see it when you're coming down the stairs) and then fit the couch where the TV is now? Might make it more functional and have less of an awkward space + you could fit more furniture :) Instead of a circular or rectangular rug for your dining room, I think a cowhide would be really cool under a circular table! it would give more dimension to the room and would play into the archway and the different shapes
No rug! It’s just going to be crusted with fallen crumbs, spilled beverages. Ick! It’s a nice look, but fraught with traps. Besides, you have a gorgeous, clean vibe, why confuse it with a rug. It will look busy when you add your gorgeous piece in the arch. Finally, rugs are good in large rooms to help define a space. Your dining room isn’t so big that it needs it. Finally finally! Rugs underneath tables get bunched up and wrinkles from chairs being pulled in and out. I guess you’ll be using your steamer for more than just clothes. 😉😁
For the rug, do a square or rectangle to balance the lines, esp since there is the round arch! Maybe a colored rug for some depth. That space is looking so pretty!!
girl it's soooo funny hearing you say you don't like your IG content - shamelessly going to let you know that whenever I want inspo/ outfit ideas/ SELFIE ideas hahahaha I always go to your page. it's a problem, but you should be very proud of the content you put out it's so inspiring!
@@courtneyteems9840 hahahahaha oh my goodness RIGHT?? 🤣 lan's photos on her IG- sleek, stunning, gorgeous me in my photos on my IG - little lad who loves berries and cream
i recommend Chiliwich flat weave (not the shag) rugs in a dining space! gorgeous colours and many weaves and sizes. They're made of a recycled plastic (but not a chunky outdoor kind) so they are easy to clean in dining/kitchen areas if food drops. OR Beaumont vinyl mats, which come in a massive variety of gorgeous patterns. Thin/understated under a dining table, and simply swiffer or sweep :)
You know the problem with the front door en privacy is so interesting to me, because I'm from The Netherlands and we all have halways in our houses right when you walk in. So we literally have a seperate space between te front door and the living room. So interesting you guys in Amerika and Canada don't have that. I always wondered where you leave your coates and shoes hahahaha because we use that room to store those things.
I think you need large squarer fluffier pillows for the back pillows on your bed that will stand up higher than the pillows you sleep on! And I also would recommend a more textured throw rug for the end of your bed , maybe in a lighter oat colour. As for bedside tables, something with curves or round and in white would look really good. Add some flowers and you’re set 👌🏻 I would also recommend a rug under your bed, maybe a neutral Moroccan style one, I think your room just needs more texture 😁
I had to pause at 3:44. I prefer vlogs. And your vlogs are my favourite videos on RU-vid. I never comment but had to tonight. Please keep it up. Lots of love from Ottawa ✌🏻💛
Clicked on the vlog so fast because the tile in the thumbnail is what I just installed in my bathroom as well during a recent renovation. I feel like my taste has been validated because Allana likes it too lol
I am in so love with your style!!! I struggle finding clothes that fit me that are available, being midsized (12-14 usually.) I wish more stores would expand their sizing!
Those new green pants though!! Perfect. Absolutely perfect....& the sweater/coat. Love those pieces ❤. I agree with you about wearing a bodysuit with the slacks. Also loving the updates you showed. As far as a rug for the dining room, I don't know if you need one. It looks open & beautiful, but if you did I would go for square/rectangle rather than circle. I'll have to look again to see. All of this hard work is/has paid off Lan!!!! xoxo 😘
I have a linen bottom sheet from Brooklinen on my bed right now, but all our other bottom sheets are the regular cotton ones from Brooklinen, and I've paired silk pillowcases with them and omg
I would put the quilt under the duvet, so it only shows at the top half of your bed where you fold the duvet back(like a hotel!) also I'd get euro shams if u dont have a headboard it will add height! also, u talking to your alexa made mine go crazy! 😭
Love to see the new updates on the house! All those details!! And tell me is there anything better than crisp white sheets?! ✨✨✨ But if I may, although the quilt is truly beautiful, I feel beige isn’t really the perfect choice for your new bedroom, and something more cool toned would work better. Love the lights please don’t change that! Ps: your new photos are absolute bomb and you look divine! That leather jacket combo - to die for. Love you!
"I don't want to bored you" ... excuuuuuse me?! Bored me?! Guuuuurl I loooove you 💕 and I looove to see home updates, it's so excited, I'm loving it 😍 great great job
My interior designer vote is no rug in the dining room. It goes against my education which says rugs are to "ground" a room. But no rug keeps clean, contemporary, modern lines flowing in your house and keeps attention on the table and chairs. In the future you could add a buffet in the arched wall opening with a mirror over top to provide reflection of light and space. Love the downstairs light switches and would carry them throughout the house. For the master bedroom wall, behind the bed, if you have a carpeter (or you guys) creat a pattern out of molding or 2x4's to create an accent wall behind your headboard and then paint the wall. The headboard, sheets, quilt, etc will stand out beautifully!!
Your home looks incredible! I’m really happy for you guys! Also I love your vlogs so much, I always watch them when I wash my makeup brushes, cook and stuff like that. I feel like we’re friends and I’m spending time with you which sounds really creepy now that I’m writing this lol
I would do a square or rectangle rug and if the table is hard to move I would get a rug that would “hide” stains easier. Are you going to paint a different color in you dining room alcove? I think that would look so nice, especially if you are going to do any shelves.
For the bedroom I think you need something above the bed that’s in that pinky colour tone from the inspiration picture. Either some artwork or paint a shape. That should tie it all in. Otherwise house is looking fab!
If you do decide on a rug, go with a ruggable or something similar that can easily be thrown in the washing machine because people can be messy eaters, wine spills happen and you wouldn’t want to have to get a rug professionally cleaned every time something happens like that since it could happen often (it’s a dining room). Loving the vibe of the house. May re-create it on Sims 😉
I think if you had more warm tones throughout the bedroom those nightstands wouldn't look so out of place. But you could totally do an all cool vibes in the bedroom and it would be so cozy looking!
Love seeing the new vlog is up stories on ig!! For the dining room do square/rectangular rug with colors that almost match the chairs (not the table)!! Excited to see the home updates when it’s all done! 🤗
Your home looks great😍,love your vlogs and insta content too. But, please make a video on how to make 6 figures monthly,I have read about investors making up to $650,000 from $150,000 in 2months and I would really want to know how to outperform the investment market and grow more wealth.
I suggest you get in touch with an investment professional for guidance, most of these bullish investors have been in the market for long so it'd be easier for them to make profit than others.Personally, I trade under the guidance of Anna Kristine ,that's how I was able to earn my first $550,000 returns in few months. You can try something else, but strategies of an investment professionals works for me,hence my result says it all.
@@angelinajames239 Trading with the signals of a professional gives you an advanced investment idea, maximum returns and lesser capital losses as a beginner or veteran.
They were out of the Chocolate Smooth last time! But the vanilla and the strawberry are both so good! Strawberry won’t work with coffee obviously, but as a treat… so good!
My suggestion for the bedroom is that it just needs some simple accent. Maybe a couple throw pillows, a blanket for the bed, maybe a wall hanging behind. It needs a bit of different textures and different colors (even if they’re also neutrals) to complete the look that the bedding has started. ETA: I love all the classy vintage fixtures in the basement with that brassy gold, such gorgeous touches without being over the top. In the bathroom I think it’s just lacking a little dimension - I think adding some wood accents that match the wood floors on the rest of that level of the house will really complete the look. You could do a couple floating shelves (which would be good to store a couple towels, maybe a plant to bring a little life in there) or even just art or a photo with a wooden frame would do the trick E2TA: the pieces from reformation might be *the* most “Lan” outfit I’ve ever seen
i love how this is probably the third time you said you wouldn't show any more home updates until everything is done, and yet here we are again with another update. Not complaining tho, im thrilled with the progress 😂
Please never stop the vlogs!! They bring me joy! I love seeing people’s lives, I literally just watch makeup videos now because I like to hear people talk! (Because the mask life has taken me away from makeup) lol ❤️
I love how everything is looking like. Sometimes I dislike living in a tropical country because I want to wear fall fashion, and you’re definitely making me so envious. I love men’s wear and blazers especially but I can’t wear them where I live 😩
For the rug in the dining room, I can picture like a neutral colour or a white/cream (whatever sort of matches the table) but that has some nice texture. Maybe one of these from article- Upsa, Texa, or Hira. Ooorrrrr jute would be cute too, still neutral, but a little different. Something like Lohals from Ikea is still soft and subtle but very pretty
Would love to try their sheets and such, my dog rips every single sheet set I get so I have to go the cheap route cause I gotta keep buying them over and over 😅
Why is everyone online from Canada and the UK suddenly doing that “heeheeee!” Laugh?! WHAT AM I MISSING?! This is Literally the 4th video in a row I’ve watched between you, Lydia Mullen, Josie and Victoria and all of y’all are doing the HHEEEHEEEEE laugh now😂
