It's one of those days... feeling a bit scattered and frustrated so I'm sitting down for some makeup therapy in a bit more of an uncut-style of video, creating an everyday 20(ish) minute makeup look. A touch of sparkle and glow and gloss. ✨

Super glowy, fresh and healthy look. Love it! And yes, please do a GRWM talking about quitting your jobs. I’ve been working in corporate for 10 years seeing more responsibilities, more headaches and no fulfillment. I’ve been contemplating quitting and would like to hear what’s been going on with you.

I think the background is a nice change for summer and warm weather. It’s good to switch it up! Still love the darker moody background too, definitely mixing it up here and there is fun.

Eva, in this video you say you like full coverage, well, me too. I have a lot of blemishes and active acne in oily skin but I don't like matte foundations because it looks cakey and ugly, I prefer using a semi matte or a more hydrating foundation, but usually those kinds of products have low coverage. I use foundation as concealer, I can't ever match my tone for concealer so I just use the foundation to have an even application color wise. Anyway... I would appreciate a video focused on how to have a nice performance of a full coverage makeup and tips also. A tutorial focused on skin prep. What do you think?

I know what you mean about how full coverage matte foundations can look cakey! Skin prep is definitely a huge part of making it look nice. And generally, I find a glowy product underneath can do wonders! I can definitely discuss this more in an upcoming tutorial. Thanks for the suggestion!

I would say more like hydrating! But that definitely depends on skin type and how much and which product. The hydrated base just really helps with the full coverage matte. I also love the Milk Hydrogrip as that provides a hydration without being glowy or thick in any way

I totally understand, there are days where my skin seems to hate my makeup. But applying makeup is often my loveliest moment of the day. Did you see KJH’s 2 part concealer tip with priming the brush? OMG I tried it today first with my green color corrector and was impressed, so I used liquid concealer (Kosas) instead of my favorite Glossier balm and I was floored. Then I did the same thing with my BB cream/foundation, which I normally apply with my fingers,and I was incredibly pleased with the easy perfecting quality of the blend- I didn’t even follow up with my damp sponge! I love the way you described your intention of “finding magic in the everyday”, I feel like that’s the key to genuine happiness. I’m very interested to hear more about your decision making process! Your skin looks incredibly lovely in this light, and the main thing I love about this new setup is the closeup. I have never thought your regular setup was poorly lit or anything, it creates a striking contrast, and it does create an intimacy I enjoy. It’s nice to hear you’re liking the luminous blush! I love a luminous blush myself, it works well with fair skin I think. Golly, I am just crazy for that Glossier lip on you. A lot of my everyday faves are Glossier, I love Lash Slick mascara, (which comes off like a tubing mascara) and their Ultralip formula feels super nourishing and easy to wear. I love their pot concealer and Future Dew, which I use in a way that’s similar to the CT Hollywood Filter, and my favorite thing about Future dew is that I can also use it over my powder blush if I accidentally get too powdered. I love this simple, classic glowy look. I just love your face so much! I hope your day brightened after this self-care!

I did see that KJH tip! Tried it once and it didn’t work well for me but I’m thinking it was the brush I used. Going to film with my mom today and try it again. Glad it’s been helping you! Thinking I’ll use this set up for certain looks but the dark back drop is my main one. Still gotta get the lighting to my liking cause I am a perfectionist lol. Sounds like I have to give Glossier a bit more of a chance going forward!
