Hi Everyone! It was time for another chit chat get ready with me, so I sat down and gave you guys a life update on everything that’s been going on with me while I did my hair! About ending friendships, during quarantine I was thinking about all my relationships with each of my friends. I realized with one of them, I wasn’t getting back the same energy I would give them so I prayed about it. I asked god for a sigh & and he gave me exactly that the next day from a random stranger that I have never seen before. To some up what he said, he was like the friends u have in high school are not going to be there when u go to college bc u will just grow about. I hoped this helped u out.

Sounds like you were more invested in the friendship than she was. I remember after college I had to move on from a few friends because our paths were different. During college it seemed we all had the same interest. Later, I realised some of us just needed friendship so we tolerated each other afraid to step out and become who we really were individually. From 1 aries to another. We always try to stay connected to people who have moved on. We are just good people like that. Good Luck on your new place. I reside in Atlanta suburbs 85north bound. as for you and your friend growing apart, I think to treat it like you would a romantic breakup. Recognize that you guys have grown so much that the puzzle pieces are no longer complimentary. And it's good that it didn't end on bad terms. You are growing and you will find a new puzzle piece that compliments yours.

I broke up with my longest friend during this quarantine. We simply grew apart. Yes it hurts. She was like a sister to me. But its understanding. I am ready to continue leveling up and no longer interested in the things that kept us glued together. I would often find myself eager to discuss new things I had learned and it never seemed to be returned. I will always love her, but I know that I will be blessed with like minded individuals who grow WITH me. Not away from me.

The feelings with friend breakup is totally normal. It's a grieving process. It tends to feel worse with someone you have a deeper connection with. Trust me...i'm in my late 30's and I relate. I think what can make the emotions intensify is several factors. Whether you have other best friends, the lack of close friendships you have (meaning nearby...I identify with this totally!), current stressors, etc.This may sound weird but you're my friend in my head. I feel like we could be cool if I lived in GA. You're inspiring

I currently have friends where it seems a little awkward to talk to them on the phone because we also have grown apart but the more we meet in person, our bond becomes a little more familiar and a little back to normal. So basically ur bond can come back but you BOTH have to want it back and it not just be one-sided. Hope that helped!😀

OMG I'm going through the same thing with my best friend right now. It's literally so difficult but it just comes down to acceptance. You have to accept that you outgrew each other and wish them the best. Its so hard bc you think about them and you wish things were the same but give it time! You should just let your feelings out, cry it out, you have to let yourself feel the hurt in order to heal. I wish you the best! Things will get better.. its just a growing season in your life that has to happen.

My best friend and I are like in a complicated space rn. She left me and basically replaced me. Any time I was in distress she never cared, and I opened up to her about a lot of sensitive information I wouldn’t tell even my family. But she always felt that when I vented I was arguing with her which I never did that. Now we talk but it isn’t the same she doesn’t say I love you anymore, rarely calls, and we were suppose to go on a trip but she replaced me with her god sister which I felt was rude but she has the audacity to want to come to my 21st birthday trip.....I’m just numb now

If you think things can change between you, you can always try just telling her exactly and honestly how you feel and why, but to me it sounds like you are being disrespected, and you don’t have to accept that from anyone.

Living in the city, especially a bigger city is an adjustment for sure. I grew up in Milwaukee, and going from that to a large city is different lol. Parking, things being out of stock at stores, traffic, ugh. It’s definitely something to think about for anyone contemplating moving to the city.

Ive been knowing one of my best friends for 16 years. We literally were inseparable, on the phone all day every day holding up the line, true besties. We fell out at a point in time for who knows why, but started being cool again after a long while of not talking & it was definitely awkward. Like a goat elephant in the room at all times. But we eventually became close again. As of last year & after her having a baby, she became super sensitive & insecure about her lifestyle & we fell out about how she interpreted a compliment of mine. I recently reached back out to her to check on her, because we have grown up together, but i think its very possible to grow apart. & it just gets to the point where even though you care, things just aren’t the same.

Friendship breaks up are difficult. Unfortunately, sometimes you outgrow people. I had a situation like that with a friend. We both came to college together and then she ended up leaving. Her boyfriend still went to the school she would still come up to the school to see him but never came to see me. I reached out to her but she never reached out to me. It hurt, but as college progressed I made more friends. The best way to handle it is wish her the best and continue to live your life.

I went through the same thing with my best friend, we’d been close since 6th grade but when we got to Freshman year of college we just suddenly stopped talking. There wasn’t even a real fallen out and before I knew it we had gone months without talking. I always thought eventually we’d just come around to getting back on track. We just graduated and literally haven’t talked since freshman year. I definitely mourned that friendship. Don’t know how it was on her end, it’s so strange how we’ve become strangers and now I couldn’t tell you anything going on in her life. We just started following each other on social media again.

My heart dropped when you took the first snip! 😂😂 I had perfect skin throughout high school and then here comes adulthood and here comes acne!! I stressed about it for years but now thanks to the rise of RU-vid, I know it's a matter of a skincare routine and diet. I lost my best friend when we both coincidentally moved to NYC for college. She just stopped talking to me out of nowhere and it bothered me for a looong time. Then one day I just let it go. We still don't talk but we're at a point where we at least say hi to each other in passing.
