I bought 2 towers 3 years ago. They worked great at first, now every single hardware update makes them worse. They don't have any protection at ALL now. Customer service is less than helpful.
Thank you for this video. It took me quite a bit of time to get this setup, but now that it's setup I'm pretty impressed with how well it's designed and working.
I just purchased one, and set up all the users and devices. But, each morning, when we wake up, i find that the router has unpaired from my phone. I have to sign in again, and go thru the setup again. Once im back in the app, i find that all the users and parental settings i set up are gone, and i have to go thru the setup again. Anyone else have this problem?
You have a very good products but unfortunately very poor support. We bought one gryphon tower and we can’t do a setup due to hanging in the pairing stage. More than a week trying to contact the support and no useful reply.
Totally! This has always been a weakness in many hardware tools. For many families although this bypass is a possibly not always easily achievable, for example, if the modem is in a popular space in the house, then needing a cable to connect a device into, and then also needing a dongle in the USB-C world we live in. If there is a random network cable running into a bedroom, something is suspicious.
If I get it from amazone to be shipped to Saudia Arabia is it working without stick to Gryphon security subscription ? I will reqest it if no security subscription required. Moreover Am I getting all parental control features without subscription.?
Thanks for the detailed review, could you clarify if one can block a specific website? On the browser not as an app. Also can apps be allowed for specific time duration like 30 mins a day?
You can block certain websites, many routers have that feature. But using a proxy or VPN can bypass that. Both Apple and Android, you can set time usage limits built into the devices parental controls.
Boomerang in our view is better for parental controls on mobile devices like phones and tablets. Gryphon is great for security, privacy, and some parental control over every device in your home network like game consoles, laptops, or other smart devices where apps like Boomerang can not be installed.
The browsing history feature is genetic, the same with many other systems. It provides details on website requests user devices makes to the router. This allows you to block any site you do not wish to be accessible.
@@TheWhiteHatter Thank you! At the moment I use Circle with a subscription for premium features. However, the history feature lacks the capability to view the full URL of sites visited, it only provides the domain. Does Gryphon log the full URLs?
i know im asking the wrong place but does anyone know a tool to get back into an instagram account?? I somehow forgot the account password. I love any help you can offer me!
Gryphon has its own mesh network. We are unsure if those 2 different products work together, as that was not part of our tests. Check with Gryphon's support team for that one.
@@TheWhiteHatter Thank you. I did contact Gryphon and they said my Deco could be used as an extender. Is the Gryphon what you would recommend for the best controls for a family with a lot of devices? I don't want to keep buying another router. I thought the Deco would solve my problems
Gryphon would be a good option for lots of family devices. We have not had any hands on experience with Deco, but it looks like they don’t specialize with parental controls as Gryphon does.
