I got the travel tree the other day at goodwill for like 3.49 for a pair. Mine are rochester with a split toe with wood pegs.

Would you recommend the boss boot tree? I just ordered a pair of custom 10 inch work boots, are those boss tree considered to be the best for boots?

I have four of them but I’m not sure they make a difference. I replaced one on my Carmina boots and replaced it with a Carmina tree and it’s not wearing any different. I do t have them on my Thorpe either (GG) and those also are holding their shape quite nicely.

@@wishoeguy So your saying that it’s doesn’t matter if the boot tree is specifically designed for boots a normal show tree will do the same job?

Hey should I worry about how strong the spring is? I have a loafer (38 EU) with split toe shoe trees a size above (39). I'm worried if it'll stretch my loafers beyond use. Is it fine? It's not too hard to put them in or take them out and the tree doesn't have to be compressed fully. I don't see a lot of people talk about this issue but them again most men don't need small shoe trees Thanks

If it’s not hard I wouldn’t worry too much. A lot of shoe trees have a size range. Some lasted trees have no spring and just operate on a hinge. Those I would worry about. I’d also worry about a 40 or larger but a 39 doesn’t give me pause.

I've been eyeing Alderwood trees..do you see any advantages (weight absorption) over birch and cedar?
@wishoeguy
@wishoeguy 2 года назад
No advantage but it’s not my favorite tree material. Just nothing special about it.
