"I wanted to retire from the sport, I didn't want the sport to retire me", that is one of the single best pieces of advice any professional athlete can give to another professional athlete. Great talk with GSP, he's one of the GOAT's of the UFC.

No it’s not. It only applies to mma…you know the sport where fighters are paid dogshit money in the largest promotion in the world? 99% of guys can’t afford to retire from the sport. It can apply to nfl too but they’re retiring earlier these days because you know… they actually have money Gsp happens to be a beloved fighter who is very handsome and charismatic and one of the most famous ever. Nice to hear your comments about your last fight. I am one of them that thought you lost but in any negative there is a positive in any situation. The positive is you got the W and also it will drive you on to better things and greater performances. But what got most people’s backs up wasn’t so much your reaction after it was the sucking up with Dana and then trying to be a Conor at the press conference. You don’t need to copy him you have your own personality and it’s a cracking one. Can’t wait to see to back in the octagon and will be shouting for ya long and hard. Go kid prove everyone wrong including me and I will be happy
@PaddyTheBaddyUFC

When was I sucking upto pls tell me? When I was giving my honest opinion about someone? That’s sucking up to someone now just telling the truth about somebody? 🤣 and nobody has tried to be Conor once pal that mushroom stood up said he would do something an i said you’ll do nothing. Look forward to your next fight as strange as it may seem I am a fan in and out of the octagon. And just to say your work on mental health is top notch so respect there. ✌️🤙

I know his words resonate with you because of your clear respect you have for him. As a huge fan of GSP, and you Paddy, respectfully believe adopting some of GSP's approaches to being legendary would benefit you. You're wildly popular bc of how real, genuine, and relatable you are to regular folk, despite being the elite athlete you are in THE MOST physical sport. Your body is your gateway to longevity. I love watching you indulge in must deserved heavy foods after busting your ass to prepare and dominate fights. GSP endorses how much of his success related to his intrinsic motivation to maintain a healthy body to best prepare himself for fights. Love every ounce of what you stand for and just wanna see long-term success for you and your family. Much love brotha. Also, fuck gerkins in burgers lol

I was a boxer for 3 decades, golden gloves boxer and Navy champion.. It took me awhile to understand how important humility is, how ego can undermine progress and my view of reality.. Until someone put me in my place, then I sought out better fighters and trainers, and learned to learn from many people.. Being completely relaxed during fights was the result of being prepared, and when I was the best version of myself..I wouldn't under estimate a person who gave me a good fight, instead learn from the holes that have been highlighted, living in denial will put you right there again..And if you are making a living being an athlete, stay in shape, you can be fat the rest of your life...Take it or leave it....I've been exactly where you are right now.

I don't like Paddy after that Ariel call out but man his respect towards GSP is admirable. I mean GSP is the GOAT in my book and if Jon Jones meses up even a bit in HW division it's done ...the GOAT argument is done. GSP will become the undisputed GOAT.
