At one point in my life I could only dream of having a GT740.... back when I had an A8-7410 apu powered laptop. Now I have a 5600+5700xt and I want to upgrade gpu already lol. Once you finally hit your dream you only want more and more!
@@misterpinkandyellow74 I agree, the only thing it struggles with is ultra all at 1080p in Cyberpunk, other than that I play eveything I want at the frames I want.
@@fg56h It does ok at high graphics, still not a locked 60fps experience, even with fsr on you can still find areas that just totally drop it into the 50's no matter what the graphic settings are.
I really like how Nvidia and also AMD cared about entry-level systems back then. They always made graphics cards with actual variety in them for entry level PCs. But today, nah man, AMD is just gaming that corner, and Nvidia only made 2 graphics cards (T400&T600), which were based on same GPU and design, just memory difference, and also were made in 12nm Turing generation age, and no new graphics card has come out, its almost time for 4000 series. The reason this is a problem is because yeah, integrated graphics are going to be much better solution in the cost section. If you really wanted an entry level PC, but had good specs, you are not gonna add an RTX 3050 in it, it would be overkill. Actually I just remembered that RX 6400 is a thing! But too bad that AMD's desktop processors don't yet support DDR5, so I (or rather my imagination as of course I can't buy these, just to imagine I had these...) to but it in an Intel system with DDR5, because AMD and Intel are really an opposite companies. By the way I was talking about integrated graphics, so yeah, integrated graphics are good enough, if you had the money, it would just be better to have an actual graphics card for memory bandwidth, more features and all.
@@reex1288 true, even the GT710 is too expensive for no real reason just because its popularity.Atleast seems like prices are slowly going down where they belong but I doubt that GT710 (atleast the not so better GDDR5 version) and GT1030 will have reasonable and honest prices soon. For sure people should think on other cards instead of these ones, for example instead of a GT1030 you can buy a R7 250X 2GB for maximum 70€ and have a better deal. The only good thing out from the GT1030 is its really low power consumption.
bro if possible try Forza Horizon 4 on this GPU. It was the minimum requirement for that game. Also, FH4 still looks incredible and playable for these low end GPU's.
Good video. I had the gt 740 4gb ddr5 version. It was alright for it's time, it only cost me $89 new, Imagine that! I remember the extra 2gb of vram didn't help it much against the 750ti 2gb card at the time.
Sometimes I enjoy playing the games, but not in this video because the 740 was so slow 😅 I enjoy seeing and learning about the performance of each card more than actually playing most of the games :)
The gpu my laptop has the gt 740 its alright! But yours on the video runned a bit worse than mine mine averages 25-30 like on nfs heat im getting 25 to 30 with it lowest setting sometimes drops below 24 even which sucks but ye manageable i guess if it doesnt happen often.Or another game like just cause 3 has 25-30 fps at absolute minimum settings playing at windowed mode i actually played it like this for a few hours it was fun then i forgot the controls and stopped xd and just cause 2 at high settings 23-26 fps. Btw Kryzzp i got a new gpu for the desktop and 2 rams 8x2 1600 mhz and the gt 1030 4 gb gddr4 cost 194 euros gpu 104 euros ram 90 euros Performs very well in games!
@@gabbythegamer79 Ye and i forgot to say it supports the latest drivers and 4k resolution and dx12 clock speed is at 1735 mhz and memory is at 1050 mhz pretty high clock speeds surprisingly this model of the card.
hey bro, do u recommend the 3070 for 2k and 1080p gaming? or should i go to the 3060ti or 3070ti. i can also wait for the 4070 which might be worth the 700 us dollars i will pay for. I'm enjoying this video as usual ♡
any of those 3 cards are fantastic for 1440p. in the demanding games like dying light 2 and cyberpunk just simply flick on dlss and you will be very happy.
@@JudeTheRU-vidPoopersubscribe i really have alot of questions to ask rn, do u have discord? Im buying one at the end of the year.. so i need some help for the first one im building. Ty
Hello Kryzzp I m trying to buy a new graphics Card because i have a gt 630 in My pc I have 1 Choice 1. Gtx 750 Ti 2gb Note: i wanna play Battlefield 5 on it. I already purchased it from origin i will really appreciate your effort if u can play Battlefield 5 on the following card please tell me i will really appreciate it
I recently bought for 30€ a Sapphire R7 250 1GB GDDR5 curious to see its performances but my luck wanted that my motherboard died so I haven't tested it yet. Any chance that you might try it out kryzp? I heard that it's a decent card just bottlenecked by its 1GB size.
@@mclarenf1gtr99 if I recall it correctly those are missing benchmarks aswell, considering how kryzp like to collect and try videocards this might be interesting.
That's the same cooler that was on the green PCB GTX 750 2GB I bought off ebay. It was hot glued to the heat sink and the card crashed the PC when you tried to game. It was returned for a full refund, but it's good to see that was an actual Asus fan shroud. I thought it was a total scam. Also, have you tested the RX 460 2 GB? There are a bunch of red PCB OEM style (I think HP) on ebay now for 50 bucks free shipping. That could be the best cheap used gaming GPU now- if it performs as the specs suggest. 2 GB is still a limiting factor though.
Oh come on Kryzzp , be a little lenient with this poor GPU. In your previous video with the (legendary)GT710 you were playing PUBG at .... *7p resolution* , at 20fps , while here with the GT740 we could play PUBG at *540p* at 25-30fps. Personally , the only game i wouldn't play with this GPU (from those you tested) would be Cyberpunk2077 , all the other were semi-playable (even RedDead:Redemption) --P.S. back in 2001 , i've been playing *Gothic* (my favourite game of all time) with an *nVIDIA Riva TNT2 Ultra* If your character was carrying many items in the inventory , the game was becoming a stuttery mess , yet , this didn't stop me from enjoying this game (*fortunatelly for me , i discovered that if i leave most of the items in a chest instead of carrying them , the game could run very smoothly , but still ... i would keep playing my beloved Gothic no matter what , lol )

Yo kryzzp will you test the rx 6400?....Many say that its a competitor for the 1650 and it even beats it in ceratin games when installed in pcie 4.0. Im really curious to see you bechmark 😄 Great video as always El kryzzpo ❤
The GDDR5 versions of the GT 640 and GT 740 are basically slightly weaker GTX 650s that don't need 6-pin power connectors. Which is funny since technically the 650 didn't need one either, but almost all of them have one. Anyway not much more to be said about this GPU. It sucks for gaming. Other options to consider are the GTX 660, which is a very good intro GPU for a first-time PC gamer with a good price (~$60) these days, while the GTX 750 TI is better for more recent titles and is much more efficient overall (but cheating a bit since it's Maxwell rather than Kepler) while costing about $75. I think it's better to save a budget of at least $100 for a GPU. I've found GTX 950 and RX 560s (already a bit too much) for that price, and those can play any modern titles without any problems only struggling slightly with the most recent. The aforementioned GTX 660 performs only about the same as these in older titles, thus there it's much better price-to-performance, but does steadily worse in more recent titles. It's a ~$40 "tax" to play newer games better, in a way. It highlights the importance of what games one wants to play with their GPU! You can save some money (initially at least, until power consumption creeps up) that way. Great video as usual.
My UHD620(slightly worst than GT710) can do 720p30 on it. Runs worse than Valorant or Rocket League, at least on my laptop. It also runs worst than NFS MW2012. Fun game, but it has too much clutter.
Nope. In my country there are 0 gt 710’s for under $20 cad. Minimum is $80-100. 1030 for $150 cad. All rtx cards sold out. At one point, gt 710’s were over $550 and rtx over $3000
Kryzzp i feel bad for u and your ayes like imagine playing with a gt740 while u have an rtx 2080,2060,and a 2050 sitting beside u 💔😂😂 ( and perfect content as always btw(: ❤️)
I used to have a friend who called me wrong when I said his GT730 with DDR 3 was shit. He was also studying climate "science" as his major. Suffice to say we're no longer friends for a reason. Unlike himself who was unreasonable butthurt for stating basically what amounts to a fact. Paid a $1000 back in the day for an i3 4th gen, 4GB ram and a GT730, no SSD. Chump head.
I mean, not super bad it can run GTA 45fps . But GT never meant to "game" its for casual home or office use. Even if they released RT 4010 4030 i dont even want to buy them even tho its 12gb ddr4 lmao
