I can vouch for this wheel stand, it's extremely strong and it's assembled from when you inbox it. The only cons are if you have small space and I would have liked the pedals to be less fidly to fit. It's 10/10 from me if you want a semi portable stand but it's very heavy.
highly recommend the wheel stand. Its so much easier for me to plug in and play. It’s allowed me to play more often. Definitely agree about the stand forcing you to play in a more upright position. I use a nice ergonomic office chair which helped me out with that. I can tilt lock my chair, lower the height and feel comfortable for long sessions.
Your office chair sounds spot on. I normally race in a lower cockpit style chair so it felt a little high for my preference, but overall a great stand 👍🏻
@@keesklaver6304 you can get some bell glides to replace your office chair’s caster wheels. They will help to keep the chair from moving around when using a wheel/pedal setup.
In the video you are mounting the pedals on the middel of the bottom plate. I mounted the pedals as far back as possible, it even sticks out a few cm. But that does help with seating position.
if you live in the UK this wheel stand is currently on save for 120 down from 150 so good time to bag one. I did on the 4th (a saturday) and its coming tomorrow (7th) baring in mind they dont work on weekends, the shipping times are awesome as well. and their delivery partner is fedex so you shouldnt have to worry to much about your box arriving destroyed, at least in my experience.
They have since changed their shifter mount. It's a bigger piece that lets you move the shifter in and out(forward and back if sitting in front of this) so has a little more adjustment. Still a similar design though. The worst part of this thing is the instructions though. It is simple to put together but I am left with this huge bag of bolts and other things with no direction on how to use them lol. It seems wrong. I know the extra bolts are for attaching various things but it just doesn't tell you which is for what so it is a game of trying each one until it works. It would be better if the bolts were in packs that said what brand wheel they worked for.
Can anyone help? Not sure if it’s because of my carpet, but with my r9 and even my previous r5, the stand does rattle a bit. 2 questions if someone can help, much appreciated. 1. To reduce wobble on the stand, what key areas should I look into tightening the most? The hand screws that extend the top portion… anything on the lower half etc 2. Anyone know what I can use to stick onto the bottom of the “pegs” for the stand that add more grip to carpets?

I've had my Apex in it's box behind the couch for a week waiting on my G29 to arrive. I've been climbing the walls waiting for it - should be delivered tomorrow. I'm a little concerned on your comments regarding the seating position with wheel height. What height are you, do you mind me asking? I fully intend to get the seat base and racing seat eventually but we are fully renovating our house next year so I'll wait until I have my game room set up before pulling the trigger.
I’m 6’1. The issue I had was that my usual sim rig is low to the ground in a more formula driving position, whereas with this wheel stand you have to have the seat raised a little more than I’m used to. No doubt you’ll find a comfortable position, but for me I preferred the lower racing position. 😁
@@gavancorrigan8813 T300 rs is the way to go. It's my second wheel and it's phenomenal, this is coming from a guy that uses CSW V2.5 so I know all about quality as I have used many steering wheel and hubs
@@sephiroth4543 I’m enjoying the G29 strictly as a learner wheel. I’m gonna wait for the Fanatec DD to come out and see some reviews and maybe invest if good. Still haven’t busted out the seat frame cos we’re planning on renovating the house.
