Haha yeah, I wouldn’t risk it today freezing the video and putting in red arrows on a 20 km track, as it sometimes can corrupt the audio and having me start all over again on the video 😬😬 I hope I can go faster within the upcoming two weeks, but I am running low on available game time now 😃
Man i love this combo. Had the pleasure to drive 3 laps on the Nordschleife 4 years ago as a Birthday present. Was in a BMW M3 and it is scary as hell 😅 but it was the most fun i ever had. It's insane how narrow it is. Adenauer Forst and the RU-vid Corners are so nice to drive. Highly recommended for everyone
Great lap man, i just about got inside gold after a few laps . Only 3 days left and gold has dropped to 7.42.5 fingers crossed it dosent drop to much more

Haha the game calls you to do a Nord after my call earlier! I only had 4 complete laps last night, sitting well within top 5% at a very very low 7:45 - it was provisionally gold. I made a big mistake at the roller coaster corner (alongside a number of smaller but not really small mistakes) and I expect a sub-7:44 for my best AT drive, and am aiming for a sub-42 (which would likely have to be done with MT) with a faint hope that I can do a sub-40. But then again, Nord comes for a second time in the last 12 months when I am most occupied at work....... (and I only got 2 weeks to do it this time, unlike the 4 weeks last time). As to the technical side of matters, I think it should be noted that the spring for this car is just too stiff and so running on the kerbs are highly risky if not completely counterproductive. Otherwise, this track, as always, is about track knowledge and CONSISTENCY. Speaking of AT, I know lots of people are saying that if I can do a decent gold time on the Nord Circuit Experience with MT, I can do MT anytime, anywhere. I need to point out that despite trying out MT last night, I didn't even manage a full lap. At the moment, I still have quite limited skills on MT, and it works only if (1) I am familiar with the track, (2) I am familiar with the shifting point of the car I am driving, and (3) I am familiar with the pace / braking point of that particular car on that particular track. So in the next day or two, I would probably still be doing it on AT and hope to get back to provisional gold and get within top 2% world ranking ultimately.
Good stuff! I am under pressure as well because of work in real life, but I hope to get at least one last improvement in! And consistency certainly is important! A high average speed on this long track is more important than maybe nailing some sectors but then mess up massively other places. Regarding choice of transmission, you just do what is best suited for you, I can follow your reasons for it 😉👍 But IF you decide to keep working on it, redoing licence tests in MT could be something to consider. Shorter challenges in a wide variety of cars. Just a thought 😃👍
@@arkeys74 Argh............ I got into a mid-7:44 yesterday just to see it knocked out of provisional gold. Then I decided to try something different today, namely to finish a run as long as it is valid (even though it is behind what I know is my best time), and to my surprise, I have indeed earned an improvement, so I looked at my mistakes and redo the lap and ended up back within the provisional gold with a very high 7:42. I think a sub-7:42 is realistic, but if not, a low 7:42 is a must for myself. The faint of of a sub-7:40 however, should be out of reach now. My only hope now is that the top time will remain unchanged so I can score this gold. As to the shifting, after two days of trying, MT is just not what I can manage this time on this car for such a windy track.
@@arkeys74 Damn it they are still pushing and I'm out of the gold time again. Will really have to push for that perfect lap for just that half to one second...
@stormmeansnowork P1 seems to still be pushing, I can’t remember what the golf cut off is now though. Hope you stay within the limit! I got down to a 7:38.2 now
@@arkeys74 I am just just just just just just outside of it (I have an Excel Sheet to do the calculations so I know just by how much am I outside). P1 and 2 are still pushing and they pushed me to push myself too. I still have that 0.5 to 1.0 second left for the time being if I use the same methods and settings, with a faint but realistic hope of getting under 7:42. At the same time, it seems P1's improvement has come down to fractions of a second (instead of a full second). If this is true, then I may just barely make it, if I do that perfect lap. Lastly, I was trying some of the tricks that P1 did, but it seems too far reaching for my skills to pull it...
I just want to say “RU-vid corner “ is the outgoing corner of the Bruenchen Sektion. In earlier times this corner was just called “Ausgang Bruenchen”. PF has to fix this engine brakeing - that’s so annoying and unrealistic.
wow - now thats what i call a run managing under .40 is not impossible but its frustrating as invalidating is often than having valid laps when there are 7+ mins in each run :D. Focusing and not running wide is key. I do got .49.995 as my 2nd valid lap and maybe 15 invalidated... its too easy to throw it off carousel or mess up when lap is going to good on end of sector 1 im already doing 1.28 where you are down to under 1.25 which is big difference and i can see gearing is key. I personally do keep all the way 115mph through the first sector on the double right hander before the big straight, just slight tap on the brakes and throwing it in 5th gear but i do lose quite a lot of time on other sections too. sector 2 with the tricky S corner i do kept car really stable by flooring it 4th almost ot the middle of S turn and avoiding 2nd only 3rd gear which gave me good exit but yeah excicted you coming and getting under that .40.
@@arkeys74 No problem :) thats probably best thing - i dont think i can always find a ghost to watch or being able to watch it. On the side note - There is something wrong with YT and the video as i cannot find it no matter what unless i know your profile maybe worth looking into it :).
@@arkeys74 youtube sometimes hides video for unknown reason - they problems with monetizing videos sometimes for no reason. Only brands hatch video is one i personally see with same keywords as you use for that one
