I did it with alpine vgt gr1. Mid turbo, hard tyres, racing gearbox set to hit redline at around 217mph but will go to almost 230mph before it hits the limiter. Fuel set to 5 and short shifted about 800revs before redline. I didn't change tyres during the pitstop either. I made some small mistakes and am generally terrible at the track. Took me ages to win.
Super easy with SF19 Super Formula Toyota 19. Fuel setting on 6 with Soft tyres. Got 6 laps before refuelling and then set fuel to 3. Then fuel to 1 for final lap.
@@AEs-lf5bx downforce 1200 front and 1600 back and then ecu to 99% brings it to 948.54 PP Not sure about lap times without doing it again but I won it by a lot of time.
Mind blowing. My best with normal so far was 2nd, had to drop to easy for 1st. I think we casual player are so used to drive all out, tire management is a skill we lack of. H + M, with 1 pit seems to work best, but that also difficult to execute for me, M still wearing down too fast at 3rd lap the car is very difficult to drive. Tried S with 2 pits, it was disastrous, I ended up at the last few places.
Managed to win by less than a second with 0% fuel left with a 787b. Started on softs and basically kept the fuel map at 3 to save fuel for a slightly faster pit. After that I switched to mediums and was running between 2 and 3 but had to do lots of fuel saving on the last 2 laps
Well there is many different levels of players this guy i can say honestly is on the same level as me ive compared times on a few occasions and offcourse seen his driving style and its very much compareble to mine to be honest people at our level are just mediocre racers compared to anyone from the top brass if you think this is fast you should look up some videos of top notch gt players going at it you wont believe that shit they can take 10 to 15 seconds of my best records at nordschleife with the very same car and believe me im pushing my cars as hard as i can when im racing a guy like this i play this game for 25 years im very experienced but ill never be a pro and i know were my mistakes are made but it became part of my driving style and im to lazy to figure out were i can brake later and enter corners faster ... so in reality were both not even that great at driving .
@@Doughtinator that could be because i found ai chasing me after i passed them and ramming me off and i was still blinking red on the inidicator meaning i was above corner speed
Boys meet ken tagawa this guy made some crazy good tunes for gt sport and he is the world record holder for the nordschleife with a tomahawk i kid you not 2.50 on the nordschleife NOBODY can smash this record ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-4AfvqVeFx-I.html
Ive been playing gt7 on hard difficuly with no issues but this is the first race that i just cant win on hard…. I win on normal with the same car … the toyota GR010 hybrid … but on hard…. Man oh man…. AI are too perfect… incredible….. is this race on this video set on hard difficulty ? … i copy his setup but i just suck on this race on hard difficulty
Yeah its what were trying to prevent here this giy on this channel actually promotes the idea that you should race in cars that are asked for in the event because then youll get the right exercise to learn more about rhese cars a tune can only bring you so far you know its the person behind the controller that matters just learn to drive gr1 at a good pace
The Mazda lm55 vision gr1 car eith med. turbo is another option that works well in these races. Car is soo easy to drive. I was surprised it actually gets good fuel mileage.
I used that car with the same setup, but the fuel lasts only 4 laps. Luckly I could win the race being fast enough with soft tyres and minimun wing setup.
When I did this race. I passed him in tha pits. He came out in 7th and they TELEPORTED him to first. I can't make this up lmao ha ha ha ha. I was using tha Formula 1 car
@@Doughtinator It's the last race one the thing so it's gonna be hard. I can't catch 1st place on hard settings. They always have like a 30 second lead.it seems like their out stops are 30 seconds not 40 or 50
1:56... "Nobody in this race can do a no stop race"... Hmmm, I just did a no stop on this with the Porsche 919 Hybrid '16 on Racing Soft Tires, using Fuel Mixture 6 on the oval and Fuel Mixture 1 on the infield, had 1% fuel remaining at the end of the race
@@Doughtinator I had to put it down to easy in the end which was too easy! Initially I did 1 pit stop but ran hard tyres so just refuelled. Was running a low fuel mix the whole race. I think the only disadvantage of the Mazda at Daytona is that I think there's other cars out there with a better top speed.
Just did this race in 16'26" with a F1500T-A (no tuning, fuel at 5 with half-bar shifting allows you to stop on lap 5), probably could do it like 20" quicker if I used the mediums instead of the hards
This game suck so much!! The penality depends of your car, they said gr1 but you can finish with only 3 car, the ia can ride under the rain with normal tires and more suckage mode But finaly i ve done this shit
I came 2nd on a 787b... After so many tries. Started with RS front RM rear, FM3, fuel to 100% and replace tyres to RM at the end of lap 4 or 5 (can't remember which, when it warns you about the fuel level). Could have come first, had plenty of fuel when finishing, forgot to change to FM1 on the last lap.
There's many cars you can do it with. My personal favourite is the Lancer Evoluation VI GSR T.M.SCP '99. On hard, i normally finish the race with a time of 27:26:00 without any penalties and a 30 second gap in front of second place and i'm a controller player. Car tops out at 205 mph. Message me back if you want to try out my tuning setup.
i used the same 1 stop strategy as you with the peugot 908 HDi FAP, ty for the guidance my fuel saving/consumption was identical to yours. i had 1.0 lap left of fuel at the beginning of the 6th lap just like you did and i was in the same place as you were in throughout the same time in the race as me. just incase anyone wanted to know the 908 HDI FAP is a choice for this race that works too
I also tried with the 908 cause of its insane amount of torque but i still cant get the win ... I've set downforce to the lowest to get great top speed. I cant finish better than 5th.
I did it the opposite way round. Same car, but Mediums 1st.... Fuel mix 1 to end of lap 3, then tuned down to mix 3 for the In-lap on lap 4. Pitted for hards, fuelled up...mix 6 for the rest of the race until final lap, then used mix 5 to make the pass for 1st place coming round the final bend.... Felt pretty epic after 6 failed attempts lol.
This is a bit harder now that all the updates that have happened since launch or something. I was hitting a low 1:29 fastest lap and still coming up short. The Tomahawk S is much easier on hard if anyone is super struggling. Idk what’s going on now. Been trying to win again in the Toyota. Hards won’t last the whole race without the right rear being totally spent midway. I’ve got to find two seconds somewhere over the course of the whole race and I’ll be good. I wish I knew what my old laps were. The first couple laps out are shitty. I don’t think it’s all traffic. Seems like the tires might be warming differently now or something.
I've got the porshe 919 but i can not win, the porshe is super slow on the straights, can you tell me please how to win,? I don't have enough money to buy the Toyota, so what can I do with the porshe in Daytona if is so slow on the straights?
What am I doing or not doing? I like this car a lot but the battery boost always runs out and after that my lap times are 3-4 seconds longer without the boost. Especially on Sardegna when I'm grinding for credits. How do I adjust the boost so it lasts the whole race or can I?
Thank you very much for the strategy. Exact setup but PP was only at 894 but I added nitrous. For me it has been Gallo being the toughest opponent always. Got him on the 9th lap after he pitted.
Yesterday I was doing the European race and toward the end, J. Wong pitted just in front of me by a quarter-mile and before I got past the pits J. Wong ghosted ten yards in front of me. What has that old man done to GT7?
Cool vid Doughty. Won this one last night, 3rd attempt in the Mazda. Good car, fuel 3 with short shift, medium tyres and a 5/5 strat. Gotta agree on the disappointing payout, wont be using this as a grinder.
@@Doughtinator fuel is used. In the gr 1 prototype. I don't see it on when I'm driving. 100% I'll b in a race where it uses tire and fuel. But I don't see your speedo Mines different. Also I'm using the computer thing as well.. so why don't I see it ?
@@Doughtinator while I’m not sure if this phenomenon happens in the gr1 events I’m sure this happens in the 800PP GT3 events. If you aren’t fast enough to trouble the Viper in P1 he’ll eventually save enough fuel to make one less pit stop or go longer if the race is a 1 stop, making it impossible to win. The Merc GT3 in the same series will sometimes run out of fuel and pit at the last laps because he had to push to keep up The V12 Vantage GT3 will also have a similar theme in the sardegna 800pp event. It will either pull off a 1 stop and win the race if you’re slow enough but if you are fast enough he will push too hard and will pit again
RH starting, fuel map 6, short shit, pit when bone dry, DON’T CHANGE TIRES, overfill by a bit, set map to 5 for a bit, drop to like 1 or 2 and short shift like crazy near the end if you have to. Switching to RM at the pit screwed me several times. Hards will last the whole race with enough pace to win.
Nice one Chris. This is the only one that I didn't get gold on, I shall have to go back. Especially now that I am more familiar with the car after using it for the Sardegna grind. Like deployed 👍 😎🎙🏎✅
@@Doughtinator yes, a great description, it really is nice to have challenge without the risk of DR loss, I am very definitely not including this week's daily A .
@@Doughtinator honestly I am sooooo happy I bumped into your channel. My driving has improved dramatically after watching your videos. I didn't realise I've been playing GT for so many years now without even knowing stuff in my HUD. hahaha
@@Doughtinator Hopefully it's not just me but I'm doing a one pitt only, short shifting & finish 5 secs behind 1st. For some reason, I can't get hybrid battery boost to work on any car, I usually have it redefined to circle ???
I placed 1st on hard difficulty. Run the Mazda 787B , it shows up in the Legend Cars (its there now). Follow the specs for the 700/800/950PP 787B build on reddit. I changed the downforce to Front: 890 and Rear: 1375.… With Softs, you should have 906.82PP in the current patch (1.31). Buy all upgrades in the shop including nitrous. Use nitrous on final gear to increase top speed duration. During the race: Fuel map: 4. (5-6 on the last lap and lap before pitting).; I run ABS 2; For ”Assist Settings” I use a controller, automatic transmission; Traction Control: 1; ABS: Default; Active Stability Management: Off; Countersteering Assistance: Off; I lowered the downforce from that Reddit post so be gentle with the first corner so you do not spin out. You want to be aiming for around 1:31 laps on average. I was doing 1:30 on a good lap. Pit before the second half of the race. You want to be in 2nd gear on the first 4 turns; Full throttle between second and third turn; For the large chicane between straights, brake and downshift two gears, veer left, and downshift down another gear and gas out.
@@UltraFineSublime Bleeding 'ell !! 🤯 I can't thank you enough for providing so much detail in that reply... Mate, you're a legend. (I never bought the NoS before 🤦🏻♂️) I read that you choose hard difficulty because it's backwards or something... is that why you have recommended it also ? Thanks again, buddy. I'll give that a try now as I've been buying more Gr.1 cars without any success 😔 I've already bought the 787B so I'll let you know if I complete it.
@@Doughtinator Oh hey! Thank you for replying. Now that you mention, there's a chance I'm crossing it on pit entry, because the penalty just pops as soon as the game gives me control of the car; that made me too focused on the exit to remember its the same for pit entry. I'll be checking it out today, thank you!
I played through everything on the game on hard difficulty, except these races and one of the driving missions with the f1500. I didnt do much strategy when trying these races failed due to that more than anything. Didnt mess with fuel map and had RMs on the whole race. I've kept it on normal since then for grinding to be a bit easier
@@Doughtinator just yesterday I got my first 1st place finish on one of those, st croix, with the ts30 of all things first attempt I felt the lack of power with almost max downforce, it was almost too twitchy, had to much handling at points on that track, toned it back, a bit higher %of df on the rear, and on the second try drove alot more consistently, and did better on the straights, it seemed the Peugeot gr1 vgt only pitted once or no times my first time around, I must not have been close enough to notice him in, but the second try he pitted twice, once on 5 and I followed right behind, and once on lap 7, maybe I forced him to drive harder and use more fuel that time
