It's seems to be quite difficult to get first place in this cafè menu. They should add qualifying, because doing every time from last to first it's boring and stressful

daytona was a nightmare, I really hate the starting grid to be very sparse and difficult to catch up while saving fuel at the same time

DUDE You can put nitrous in these cars, makes the whole thing muuuch easier. Hope that helps :)

After 15+ attempts at Daytona, I finally got 1st place (Hard difficulty). Used the 787B, changed the gear ratio to give 400kph (so the engine doesn't rev too much and waste fuel), used RH tires, fuel mix 1, you will be able to pit at the end of lap 6, changed into RM tires and filled up 66-70%. I ended up overtaking the McLaren at the end of lap 9 and coasted home.

Suzuki I coudlnt win it was so hard

The rain in GT7 is incredibly organic. I love how cold the tracks feel right before rain. I also think the AI adjust their fuel gauge based on your position. If you're in the lead they will burn more to try and catch you.

After hours and hours of struggling. I found the winning car for me was the Toyota super formula. Hard tires, stock tune with 10 ballast. Fuel on 3, I won by 20-40 seconds every race with just one stop on each track. I have mine on normal difficulty.

I'm using the exact same car and setup, but my PP are higher than yours. How's that possible?

Bro i have the game on hard difficult, i consider myself a good driver, but man this was hard, to get 1st u need like 3 hours, u need to be perfection, every lap, every curve, evert splipstream needs to be perfect, but honestly i liked it.

Im playing on ps5 with controller and my cars always run out of fuel way too quickly. For Example with his settings in daytona it only went for 3 laps instead of 6 so i had to pit 3 times

I used stock Bugatti vgt on fuel map 6 pitted once and managed to get 1st, it has the power but it handles like a boat, still did it tho. (Excluding suzuka)

I won the Daytona race on the last lap with a pass into the bus stop. I was using the Toyota GR010. I used it again in the Sainte-Croix race and only managed 3rd. The Toyota has great top speed and acceleration but under breaking it's quite poor and it suffers a lot with understeer, you cannot use the throttle mid corner almost at all. I then tried to use it for Suzuka and gave up after spoon and then switched to the 919 hybrid and won the race comfortably. The cars in first and second place rocket away at the start and if you can't clear the traffic quickly you'll just run out of time to catch them, it's very frustrating.

Doesn’t seem to work on PS5. Only able to manage 5th place. I never see the first place guy, ever. Torrential rain seems to always hit as soon as I hit the last lap. I don’t get it.

I was able to win the first race using the Peugeot 908 using the fuel map and TCS recommendations above. I put on Racing Hards and stopped only for gas and won by 6 or so seconds. The second race using the same car, fuel map, TCS and downforce settings above I was able to win by 12 seconds even changing tires on my one stop. I just had to reduce the power to meet PP requirements for both races but it was still plenty fast. I don't know what the hell is with the third race. It's almost like the game waits to see what your strategy is for the rain and does the opposite. Using the 908 with the recommendations above; the first time I stayed out as long as possible and it still hadn't rained so I stopped and put on hards, then a monsoon came and the car was completely undrivable, lost by over 35 seconds. . The second time it started raining on lap 5, so I stopped and put on wets, so naturally the rain let up and I lost again by over 35 seconds. The third time I figured it would actually lightly rain that time so I stopped and put on Intermediates when the rain started on lap 5, it stopped on lap 6 and I lost again by 35 seconds. The fourth race the monsoon started on lap 3, so I stopped and put on wets (did I mention that the car is completely undrivable when it's raining hard and you don't have on wets? Not that this slows the first place card down at all.) Naturally the rain cleared up the next lap and I didn't have enough fuel to make it to the end so I had to stop a second time, lost by almost a minute. So frustrating that you not only have to start near the back already 30+ seconds down to the leader, but you also have to game plan completely random weather and the race is so short that if you're wrong you don't have time to recover.

I have used exactly the same setup but I get a PP of 966 or sth. Why is that? I noticed my Acceleration, G etc are “better” than here but it does not make sense since it’s the exact same setup.

I used the SRT Tomahawk Gr.1 but yeah, the prototype Gr.1 menu book was pretty difficult for me as well.

Use the Peugeot vgt gr.1. It's a beast, you just have to lower it, and put hard tires. For the race, use the fuel map number 6, and you don't have to pit. You can even put nos in this.

I was about to yeet my PS5… thank you so much for the car sheet specs.. this race shouldn’t have been this damn hard and of course I had maximum rain on the Suzuka track. After 2 days of trying to beat it I just accepted placing 2nd.

Man on Suzuka I’ve been getting a mix of not much rain to a lot of rain, the AI doesn’t slow down in the slightest in the wet with slicks on whole I need to slow to a snail - it’s happened in other races - it needs to be fixed but probably won’t for a while - if at all - rip

I've watched quite a few of your setup videos and they're quite helpful. One thing though, your face cam blocks a large portion of the screen when viewing the setup. You may want to consider moving it to a different corner, changing the size or maybe just temporarily hiding it while the setup is on screen.

I did use the Honda super Formula,first place in all races,overlapped everyone in the third race 🤙🏾

Wow!! This car is quick. I was able to win by 11 secs on hard difficulty. Did a 1:26.6 in the race 😳😳

In earlier races I personally can catch the leaders by 10 seconds per lap. But in this Gr.1 series the AI do lap times a few seconds faster than me, even in the same car. It’s funny to see how inconsistent this game is. It’s almost like being done by completely different programming teams. Ridiculous!

dude what are they doing with the daytona limits? i can’t go through the chicane without getting a penalty. it’s like the curbs are completely off limits, while the ai goes straight through the grass

thank you for the help, the change in ffb completely ruined my wheel settings and several tunes have become very difficult to drive. this video was very helpful with this last cafe menu. 2nd at Daytona, 1st at St Croix and 3rd on Suzuka. After a full day of trying i will take it. thank you again

For Daytona believe it or not I used the Mazda 787B . Any other Gr.1 car I tried was too slow or I had to pit two times. With the 787B I didn't have to pit at all.

The Mazda Gr1 cars are quite capable for this event. Not just fast, but efficient. I was able to clear (I only play on hard difficulty) it with both, although ironically the 787b was the first car I managed to get 1st place with, probably because with the turbo it has the best power to weight ratio; not quite as stable as the LM55 though, which seems very easy to drive compared to most GR1 cars. Was disappointed that I couldn't upgrade the Toyota ts050 power, I wanted to try that one. The gr010 is a little heavy for this class, so didn't want to use it.

I have tried that Suzuka Race now for so many times (hard difficulty) and just by chance got 2nd place with a Super Formula. Times were nearly indentical with yours, weather was similar, hard tires all the way, still I was 8 sec behind the leader. With the Peugeot I'm struggling a bit in the first sector, but overall the Super Formula is able to produce similar times and gives me better feel on the controller. I don't know how you guys always have so little rain, if I try there is rain from lap 4 until the end of the race so you have to use Inters AND get them changed because they wear out on lap 7 the latest, OR it rains in lap 6 or 7, but so heavy, that I have to pit again just for rain or inters and loose important places again! The time I got 2nd place was just pure luck and just one little mistake where I just los 3sec. Still, I don't know how I should beat this race. It's getting frustrating.

The St. Croix one: there is an easier way to do it. The car setup and the choice of the car itself is identical as in your video, however when you start the race simply put the fuel map on 1 and go! Pit on lap 4, change the tires and once you do every lap around 2:58 - 3:00 you'll get the A. Wilk guy more than 30 seconds behind you at the end of the race. Thanks for the setup tips though! Thanks for the tips... Another tip in return is put NOS in your car and use it like a kers boost system to overtake troublesome cars and to give yourself a boost when coming out of corners especially if your cornering wasn't successful you can gain back some time.

Besides saying that this video was extremely helpful and that i hate st croix (most corners feel very unnatural to drive) I wanna point out 2 things -i think that there is a small small chance that A. Wilk does not show up in the starting grid; When i started trying the st croix race, i noticed that he wasn’t there, which made the race much easier (my best lap was a 2:57:666 lol) and i got first Maybe this chance can happen in the other races! So it might be a good idea for those who are struggling to enter and exit over and over until A. Wilk does not appear. This might even happen in the other 2 races! - in Suzuka, i think if you dont finish the race and instead restart, the weather doesn’t change What i mean by this is that you can enter a race, go through the 10 laps, know all the rain phases, and before finishing, pause and restart; then you know exactly how the weather will be and plan a strategy for it It happened to me when i was trying to win with an audi r18, the race was exactly the same 3 times in a row, so i think it stays the same if you dont finish. I didn’t do it with the mazda because i got a no rain race You might also wanna reset the race to get a no rain race, because its easier to win it Thanks for the setups, they were great!!!

I made a little mistake on the chicane or whatever on Daytona and got a .5sec penalty and pitted on the 7th lap and still got 10th place wtf. This one is ridiculous. I’ve tried this whole race 3 times exactly how it’s supposed to be done and there’s no way I can even get top 5. You have to not make any mistakes whatsoever

I got the Mazda VGT gr1 because it looked pretty cool, but I don't like tge way it drives. It understeers too much and you can't change the awd tirque split between front and rear wheels.

There's zero fun in this for me. Used the Toyota a few times first and ended 15 seconds behind the leader in Daytona. Then used the car and setup from this video and ended up winning with a 37 seconds lead to p2. These races should not bog down to exploiting certain car/setup combos

IN Japan it POURED on me when I first won. I had to go with Wets and the AI was late to switch. It is very random. Some races are almost boat racing.

Ok so after the latest update, most I can get is 3rd on Daytona. The lead car is damn near lapping people. I guess they made it harder with the last update. Smh

I caught rain on the 3rd lap that was undrivable on RM by the 4th lap. Had to restart.

DAMN, this is hard i thought it was going to be as simple as the old menu book, turn out, it need a goddamn fuel, tire, and "skilled" ( the part i worst most, from the past race, i've use the basic assist such as braking area, braking mark, so i wonder if with that, can i still get the W? )

I tried the same setting but couldn’t get the car to 950pp even with stock settings plus turbocharger. Maybe they did a patch. Is anyone having this same issue in 2023. Will update if im able to finish top 3 in these races

St Croix is bullshit and I refuse to even attempt this bogus challenge. A Wilk is way too fast and there's no reason in hell he should be 10 seconds faster a lap than everyone else. It's game breaking and just a load of bs. It's as if his AI is sophy and everyone else is GT ai.

Insane and absurd difficult

I tried the Daytona race with a stock lm55 gr1, could get closer than 25 seconds behind 1st place, used your Daytona tune, finished the race with 38 seconds ahead of 1st place and even had to do a 2nd pit

I notice in Daytona Road course, T.Miyazono will only go into the station to refuel at lap 9, I have to refuel at least twice even I use the same car he uses, this is total unfair and bullshit, he must have twice bigger of the fuel tank than I have. This is bullshit!

Your video worked for st.croix and Daytona but it did not worked for Suzuka I had to battle for 3 rd and I did not get it car was not fast enough I might try boosting the power and see if that help also I’m getting heavy rain on 2 lap

For the people struggling get a Ferrari vgt pit in at the end of third lap change tires to wet intermediate it does burns a little more gas you have to pit in at end of lap7 but at that time you would be lapping everbody I finished 45 seconds before second person r.kokubun thank me later

And also, just did this exact build and my max PP for Daytona based off your build is only 929.41 vs your 950??

I give up the on this game I come in 7th place and have to refuel to end in 18th place. This game is too stressful to play .games should be fun, not stressful. Fk this .

The TS030 is excellent on it's fuel and it's one of the easier cars to drive out of the 919 and GR010 but doesn't quite have the same top speed.

I didn't know that you could adjust the fuel map. Do you lose power by doing tgat?

I used the Lexus vgt, very good car to use, ofcourse needs some tuning and for the French track i needed to tweek it a bit more in the tuning but overall quick wins

I made the first two races with the SF19. With this car you have the advantage of the giant drag this car has (late braking, high corner speeds) in comparison to the AI Gr.1 Cars. Second race even without pitting! Made it P2 each race. But these races were the hardest in my whole GT 7 career!

If you are a noob like me 😂. I recommend using nitrous in daytona, Yes it does waste petrol but we only use it when going straight.

biggest bullshit races in the game.. the last one i put rain tires does nothing i need to brake even more lolz.. that last race is making me quit the game for real .. u go much faster and still not able to win or get 3rd.. rain tires doing nothing it just makes no sense at al this series

Great video man thanks for the tunes! But, bro, I've gotta ask... On St Croix, for example, why don't you pit after 5 laps if you have the fuel, then you can turn your fuel map up to 1 and blast the last few laps on your fresh rubber?? 🤔

Quick tip for la croix track. Race on hard tyres. Saves a few seconds in the pit stop. Then change fuel map to number 2.

I just used the LM55 VGT GR1. on easy and was 1st on lap 3 out of 10 on American track. I hypermiled the European track and managed to do it without pitting. RS tyres at 60%, fuel at 1.6laps / 16% left. With a 40 second gap between me and 2nd. Was flat out the last lap also, so easily could of been over 2laps /20%. Finished suzuka with single tank also not even trying to save fuel

In Suzuka i won with Super Formula, slower on straights but better braking and a bit better cornering speeds. In Saint Croix? or other European track, can't remember I won with Peugot GR 1
