Jus tas proof that the human comady Lago race is possible and wholly achieveable in update 1.37. Nothing has really changed since update 1.36. Jusst follow the steps and go kill it.

Watch your videos for 2 months. Compared race lines, listened to the comments and engine sound in my car while driving to work, immersing myself into this track. I finally finished 1st this evening! It's great feeling after three months of failure.

You're a smooth driver sir. I didn't tried it again since the last one with the Mazda RX. Seeing your entire video made me realize that I'm about 1 to 1.5 seconds slower than you most of the time. I'm taking almost the same racing lane than you, I didn't saw anything too different. I don't think that i'll be able to do it with a controller. You ended it 17 second ahead of Rubilar, I ended it about 12 to 13 seconds behind. Thanks for your work and time, cheers from Brazil! Sorry about any mistakes in my english.

@@WiddowmakerWho So, I tried another shot with the Mazda RX. I used the same assists as you and was able to be faster and more consistent. Made some 1.57 high, most of the time 1.58 medium and some 1.59 medium. Three laps were about 2 minutes high because of tyre wear and some mistakes. I entered in the pits in the final of 10th and 20th lap. Here's the story: - In the 9th lap, Yamanata enter the pits 9 secs ahead of me; - in the 10th lap I entered the pits with Rubilar 2 secs behind and he enters too; - Medium tyres and 10.2 laps of fuel; - I leave the pits in 14th with Rubilar in 11th (how he manage to leave first???); - I passed every racer, including Rubilar, only Yamanata ahead, 13 secs or so; - In the 19th lap, Yamanata enter the pits 11 secs in front of me; - 20th lap, I entered the pits with Rubilar 3 secs behind. Medium tyres and 10.2 of fuel. Rubilar do not enter the pits, only in the final of 21th lap and leave de the pits in front of me (how??); - In the 27th lap, Fraga leave the pits exactly in front of me, I passed him; - 28th lap, Gallo leave the pits like Fraga, same outcome. Rubilar 11 secs in front and Yamanata i don't remember the gap. - Yamanata enter the pits in the final of 28th lap and still leave in first (whaaat?); - Yamanata won the race 15 secs ahead with Rubilar in 2nd, 11 secs in front, me in 3rd with Gallo and Fraga breathing in my neck. - The best lap was from Rubilar,1.57.090 (no way!!!). I think I'll break the GT7 Blu-ray in half and that's it for me 😭😭😭

@@WiddowmakerWho I tried one more time...and I won! I followed the same routine as the previous race, but only using ABS and TCM 1. I was a little bit faster without other assists. Made more laps about 1.57 high and 1.58 low. I prefer that way because I like to provoke a bit of understeer in the curves, is my way to put the front in. I had more tyre wear but I was able to do the 10 laps. The things is that every driver followed the same pit stop routine, everything was almost exactly the same. I was a bit faster? Yes, but not that much. And I finished the race 9 secs in front of Rubilar. Yamanata dropped behind. A spanish guy that I don't remember the name was the third, followed by Gallo and Fraga. Same race, almost same pace, same steps and totally different outcome, go figure! I have to thank you for your words and your tutorial, you're a real gentleman.

Thanks to you've tutorial, I finally got gold on this last night! I'm using a fanatec GT DD, difficulty on hard with the Porsche 911 RSR '17. I rolled Medium tires with the ABS on default and that's it for assists. I did your double stop with 10.2 fuel strategy. I finished the first lap in 3rd.😁 Kokubun gave me a hand and punted Rubilar in the gravel on the high bank turn on that first lap. I turned six 1:57 laps in my first stint. 🔥 I passed Yams on lap 9, he then pitted right after and continued on his typical 3 stop race. I hit the pit on Lap 10 which let Rubliar take the lead along with Fraga taking over second. I exited pit lane in 3rd DIRECTLY in front of a 5 car AI train. It took me about half a lap to get far emough away from that screeching band of mayhem, their engines buzzing behind me was almost enough to get me rattled, almost. 😅 Rubilar and Fraga pitted on lap 12, and I regained the lead. I pitted on Lap 20, Rubilar and Fraga passed me during my stop and but I came out of the pits just 3 seconds behind Fraga. Fraga was running a good pace of low 58's so I just stayed glued to his bumper and waited for him to pit instead of forcing my way by and possibly making a mistake. Rubilar and Fraka pitted on lap 22 giving me the lead once again. I stayed fast, flawless, and back marker free from Lap 24 to the finish. I finished the race on lap 30, 12 seconds ahead of Rubilar. After attempting this race (in FULL!! Whats the definition of insanity?!😂) maybe 25 times. I learned that you have to at least be able to run low 58's very consistently and you have to run flawlessly. Like you've mentioned, a clean race is absolutely necessary. No off track excursions or rough tangles with lapped traffic. Rubilar will run mid to high 58's the whole race with a couple 57's in his first stint. I'm still unsure of what condition set was causing Yams to do a 2 pit vice 3 strategy... This was this only human comedy race I had a hard time with. I am SO glad you have made this video, more than once!😂 Thanks again!!! 🍻

With update 1.41 driving the Peugot RCZ, I’ve just finished in 1st place after weeks of trying on hard with the 10.2 fuel intake stops on laps 10 and 20, as advised here. I averaged lap times of between 1.59 / 1.58 and finished a hundredth of a second ahead of second place who rapidly chases you on the final lap as Fraga pits allowing you to take the lead. Thanks Windowmaker for all the tips. Practice practice practice is key to this race.

Mate thanks for your guidance. After around a dozen attempts I finally managed GOLD, using a controller with a Porsche RSR... won by 3 seconds from Yamanaka.. And I spun out in the dirt at the hairpin.. So thank you so much for your help 🙏👍

This finally worked after trying multiple strategies and cars. Finished 3,7 seconds ahead of Rubilar, putting out consistent laps between 1,58-59 I also took a 0,5 sec penalty on the first laps by cutting the S corners to jump the whole midfield and go into 3rd immediately. You dont have to do 1,57s to win with this strategy just avoid making mistakes

I won thanks to your strategy and tips and I am incredibly grateful! I would describe myself as a half-but-not-too-good driver at the wheel, but this mission took everything out of me. I use the Porsche and was somewhere between mid 1:58s and low 1:59s. There were also a few 1:57s, but unfortunately also a few really bad laps beyond 2 min. I don't know why, but at the beginning of the last quarter a spin always happens to me - probably due to a loss of concentration. I lost 5s and Rubilar passed me. The last laps made me completely sweat, at the end of the long straight I passed him in the corner and was able to keep him at bay by 4s on the last 3-4 laps. I will surely do this awesome race again soon, simply because I want to finally manage to drive more smoothly. Again, thanks a lot, you made my day!!!

@jochenreiter1895 ohh hell yes. lol. Try getting in the top 10 stars at any human comedy race. For me it’s no longer about the win, it’s about being in the top 10. I have been in the top 10 in all but 1. Finding the car and tune, then the combination is key.

Man, it's comments like yours that make me both hopeful and hopeless at the same time haha. That sounds pretty much identical to the last couple runs I had, using the RX vision, but I lost by like 30-40 seconds. The other RX vision was outpacing me on the straights and in the corners, and only did 1 stop. I'll keep trying but man, this is basically the only thing I haven't gotten gold for yet

@RiffleVFXportfolio best chance of gold is the two stop, one stop for 31 laps. But in the update 1.46/1.47 they have made it harder. The Ai are that bit faster. It wasn’t able to do it on a one stop in a never used before car but 2 stop in the RX was able to just win. You’ll get it, don’t give up

Took me a few times I followed your strategy except when I got the NSX to do it I got the NSX GT500 '00. Didn't catch 1st place until 1st pit but still worked out like a charm. 3+ second lead over Rubilar at the end. 🥳

I had a 15 sec lead and realized i pittet 1 lap early in my first stint, so i had to fuel map 5 and 6 for three lapse, and I won over fraga by 5 sec in the end. Nice racing, and a helpful guide🎉

A nightmare. I've tried a lot of cars and couldnt do it. But, eventually (after some 10 times), I've achieve conistent. Here some tips: I've used the Maclaren 650S GT3 (same as Fraga) Allways seek to be ahead os Beauvois and Fraga. Be carefull, sometimes they're maniacs. Try to do it at least at 1:58:30. Keep training until you used to it. I hardly think that you will beat this with a higher time. Some crarzy mtfkrs do this at 1:55. But I only achieve 1:57:3

I have to respond to this video. I watched it weeks ago when you shared it in the Facebook group...I just completed it with the Ferrari 458 GT3 on the first try with that car. Fuel consumption was 72% for 10 laps, and I drove consistent high 1:59s but had a few 1:58s and even a single 1:57...but I stuck to the fuel strategy and got EXTREMELY lucky with lapped traffic holding up the lead cars that had beaten me out of the pits. So glad to finally have GOLD on this challenge!

@WiddowmakerWho I've lost count how many times I've tried with the Audi R8 Evo, Acura and AMG '20. Wasn't expecting to get it done on the first attempt with the 458 and even with 3 laps to go I was down in 4th and 13 seconds back...but I ran the race and it just goes to show that it's not over until the checkered flag drops.

Allright so… What I’m going to say is related only to DualSense/Edge or any other PS5 compatible controller NOT to any steering wheel. For all races - set difficulty Normal or Hard. Yes, game difficulty affect’s missions. I spent hours and hours to find a way for pad players on AT transmission. Try to set TCS to max 3, switch off ASM, ABS default, haptic feedback hard, sensitivity from 0-5. Tsukuba Circuit - doable; Trial Mountain - doable; AutoPolis - you have to be lvl50, get Honda Beat ‘91 and swap engine; Kyoto Driving Park - detune Aston Martin DP-100 VGT, lvl50 swapped Frappuccino. Deep Forest Raceway - use Honda 2&4 powered by RC213V, just be cautious about proper breaking and avoid contact with AIs, you can do whole race without pitting once on RH; Alsace - if you are not rich, not lvl50 to swap anything then the best way to manage it is Mazda RX500 ‘70 - its one pit, no worries about tire wear; Red Bull Ring - one of AMGs, nothing else; Lake Maggiore - I’m still working on it. For now its not doable on a controller with AT. Above won’t put you on top 10 but you will gold those tracks

Thanks for the informed response, it’s appreciated to at least get a subject matter experts on who understands and races with controller. I can add the S660 will win Autopolis with a low turbo tune on controller, so did someone else but they linked another RU-vidrs video, rather than mine.

If you want to do it with AT and PAD, use the McLaren 650 - and dont use TCS but learn to control throttle. This will save you fuel and make you faster.

Cool comment, for conveniance I did all the endurance races with the PS5 Controller.: -MX5: Just be consistent, keep the Racimg tires when weather is light blue, in sum.pretty easy -BAC, Remember tuning is allowed😂 I did it with a Stock car and won by 7 seconds, fck fuel economy, put on medium tires and go for it -Key Car: Beat engine swap rules, very easy -Alsace: if you have it, Porsche Carrera GTS, you are faster than the Merc to begin with and you can do a zero stop run -550PP Race was easy, I did it wizh the RCZ GT3 Road Car no tactics required -620 PP Race, easy too, I did it with the Alfa 155 DTM Car, just because I like it. When I remember correctly, tire wear is no problem because fuel was empty pretty fast (I think 3 Stops) -A1 ähhm Red Bull Ring, I did with the Penzoil Nismo, just because I like it. No Challenge at all, because the AI doesnt know when to pit and puts on wierd tire choices, I did nowhere near the fastest lap and won by a mile.Take IM for Rain and Race Soft otherwise. -Now for the Challange this video is about, I would say anyone that even thinks about doing gold has ro be pretty good and the rest of the game is no challenge for them. I tried a bit around but first is astonishingly fast. But maybe I am just too tired right now. RCZ and AMG did about 2:00:00 laps for me, whis is way too slow.k

Yeah, I've improved my consistency but cannot do faster than 2:01 consistently...occasionally in the 2:00 and rarely in the 1:59. So far, finishing in the 7th to 12th range. Such a frustrating race.

Unfortunately that’s the auto box that’s causing you the issue. As the bop stops you adjusting the gear ratio, the only real avenue is manual. You have to able to improve your acceleration and braking through gear change. Keep at it, keep trying… you gotta find another 2 seconds a lap

Done it on 20 try or so because game "gave me" the rubilar and yamamoto pit on 9-18-27. Thanks god its done. Just keep reloading guys till lap 10, if rubilar and yamamoto is not pitting, quit, reload. Done on medium difficult. AMG gr3.

@@WiddowmakerWho yeah its for ppl struggling like me on controller instead of wheel. Was putting 57', ocassionaly 56' laps with most of 58:200. 1 hour full focus. Felt like i was driving on madness :D

I am sure my issue is controller bc i CANNOT round the corners this smoothly consistently. Ive studied every video you made on this particular race, down to the shifts and the line itself. I just cant consistently stay on it on controller. Even running :58s and :59s just isnt enough on this race. Consistency is key and unfortunately controller cant get it

Actually is a skill issue, i play on controller too and i lap around 57.3 to 57.7, i know it's not consistent times but i won it rn with the GTR.

Its all practice. It is possible with controller. Sidenote: if you are using TCS, this will make you slower in general, well within the realms of +1s per lap.

Most issues I hear from are people on controller auto. Then those playing on easy.

@@WiddowmakerWho I mean it figures that the AI should be faster on hard than easy but I'm sure they're the same? And sadly I don't have the room for a wheel and pedal setup, I'm sure I'd be ok then but at the moment my thumbs get all confused, even after 20 years of controller play

try to learn to shift manual on controller, auto is just to slow i just won on controller with manual transmission and a lot of practice the amg gt gt3 16' was best for me, also it manages the tyres well even on controller

@@workrestandplaysnooker my tip for you 1. do the track experience for the track which is a Gr.3 car which is perfect 2. practice in a car of your choice you are going to use for the actual race 3. use medium tires. you won't get the fastest lap or even get close to it with hards this is from a player who myself have done it using auto

I do appreciate that space can be an issue for some, and I’m never telling anyone they need to buy a wheel to be be fast. Controller manual can be very quick so if you can learn manual you will gain the benefit. The ai drive more sensibly on hard, not faster, they are actually faster on east. I’ve seen it and experienced it my self. I think you can win on controller auto but it’ll be 1 in 100 chance to find that one race start that gives you an advantage. You’ll get faster with time and it’s just about self motivation at that point. It’ll come. Just keep pushing!!

Yes but it’s very hard. You have to be smooth and fast… run 1:58 constant laps, 2 stop on mediums, being very carefully not to cook the tyres. Race on normal , not hard or easy I have been told for best chance

Hello Widdowmaker.... i am following you several video regarding Lago Maggiore. i think to have bought more than ten cars to do this race but i didn't . i arrive 2nd or 3rd... i am coming crazy because i think it is not normal this race... i have controller... i tried all the difficulties because i know the problem regarding human comedy difficult. Now it is settled to Hard... it is not a problem of lap times, because i am doing them good (some of them are better thank you or like you). the problem is that in every race, one of them makes better than me for any reason that i can't specify... what can i do? what is the better solution after update 1.40? thanks from Italy

Hello Andrea You have the hardest controller setting.. auto, so hard. So… I find the race is possible on two stop on mediums and I stop on hards. You will suffer heavy tyre wear on 1 stop, and be slower on hards so two stop is always the easier faster option. Maybe 11 laps, 10 laps, 9 laps… Cars… choices for me. Mazda concept, the new Nissan gtr, all very good on tyres and gas. And you have to push… it is possible!

Do you know what's the best way to preserve tires in relation to this track. In general, don't brake 100%, maximize turning radius and avoid spinning the wheels. I do spend a lot of time on curbs on this track. Does that contribute to wear? I can't get better than 2nd although I am sure I can if I had slightly better tires by lap 28.

What difficulty rating are you playing in and what control method do you use.

I use tc1 to limit wheel spin and countersteer to avoid slide. You can ease tyre wear by rolling through corners, free wheeling. If you are a controller user, you need to limit your steering inputs into corners and through them. Using full steer, you turn way too much for the tyres and wear them way more than needed. If your an auto driver, your going to find it way hard, but 2nd is a great effort. If your playing on easy and coming 2nd, play in hard, you’ll come first. Don’t race the Ai, chase them… all you have to do is keep catching the guy in front. If your 1 stopping, use the RX vision Mazda. If your 2 stopping, you can use a few cars but stick to 10, 10, 10, and take 10.2 laps of fuel. Don’t ever be cute and think I’ve got this. Chase all the way , even the back marker but don’t ever race them. If they want to over take block them only in the last stage. Be faster through the esses, don’t be afraid to ride the kerbs. The race has got harder in the last 3 months. I’ll do a new video shortly and really cover the details… Cheers and good luck!

I wish I could find this car. I've looked everywhere for it. It seem like there was a patch a while back and if you didn't already have this car than you cant get it. Is it in missions challenges, do you win it there with all gold?I dont know.maby all gold in the licenses? I dont know what I'm doing wrong but I cant get all gold in eather.i have went th=ough the menues and I'm level 50.i can tell with the Bop the cars are faster than mine. I consider myself a very decent driver. I've been raceing science PS1,2,3,4 and now 5. This is a great game, the best of all of them but just a bit different and harder. Does not having playstation plus make it harder? I tune my cars and change where the car runs close to perfect, I just dont know what I'm doing wrong.

Hi Bulgaria… many thanks. Controller if harder but not impossible. Don’t give up.. Mazda rx vision was fastest, but off tyre wear, the new Nissan gtr Gr3 did it for me. Greetings from UK. Don’t let the Ai have an easy time… put them under pressure and don’t let go!!!

Controllerdriver myself here: These are the "easy cars" in my opinion (in no order): Mazda RX, Porsche, BRZ, McLaren, Lexus RCF 17, Nissan GT-R 13, Nissan GT-R 18, wherein the BRZ and McLaren are also good with AT (if not using MT) These are the difficult cars (for controller): Alfa 4C, NSX, Ferrari, Renault, Peugeot RCZ, all of them like being unstable on the brakes. These are tyre eaters: Audi, Lambo, stay away ... These are feeling heavy: Ford Mustang, Aston Martin DBR9, McLaren F1 This one is turbo laggy too much: Skyline Silhouette 84 All other cars not mentioned can do the job, but will need you to at least know their traction limits so you dont oversteer every single corner

@@nikolaynikolov9450 With enough dedication and practice, you can do it with (almost) all cars. But you will always notice that some of them will feel easier for you. This may be different by each track, because the BoP makes the cars feel different in some cases, or because you are allowed to use softer tires.

It’s very hard on controller. Make sure you play on hard setting. Try the Mazda .. it’s a lot more forgiving on the controller

I’ve tried the mercades,the supra, the rsr, the bmw and two others, I’ve tried aids on and aids off I’ve tried it with no Tcs and tcs on, I’ve tired to take out that rabiot car that is glitched I’ve tried to race safe and race aggressively AND NOTHING WORKS. Robito is glitched first of all. And I’ve also tied it on easy normal and hard the full one hour race still can’t do it, ps I’ve got gold on ever other race it’s the only one I can’t do. I’ve doe ever licence too inc master. This race is fucked. It’s impossible I’ve tried three times this morning and still can’t do it.

Keep trying it with the RSR, GR Supra, RX Vision, etc... get to p2 and Yamanaka continues to gain half a second per lap. Then Rubilar in the M6 comes out of nowhere and punts me off the track... I have no idea where I can improve my racing line, can't get a lap time better than 1:59. I don't know what to do.
