Anyone else noticed on most cars if you raise the ride height almost all the way up and make the suspension very stiff the car handles far better then with a stock or low ride height. Like for example the Ferrari F8 on alasace coming over the high speed bump after turn 1 if you don’t have the suspension ride height at the max the car will bottom out and spin almost every single time. I find on most cars if I raise the body height and stiffen the suspension I can go flat out around corners I normally wouldn’t be able too.

Truly appreciate what you do for everyone in the GT community. From my experience I like the physics of GT7 and that of the tuning dynamics. Oddly enough, some cars are ridiculously quick on economy (comfort) soft tyres that I’ve witnessed. The license test in my opinion serves its purpose perfectly, actually walking you through the learning curve of driving. Oddly enough after I drove NA2 NSX in game it, all the hang ups disappeared and now I can handle the cars effectively. I tried having a go at your times (with abs off when I started) couldn’t come close. Keep up the awesome work!

I just gotta say this video saved me! I’m doing Gr. 3 races and my car is getting left in the dust! It didn’t perform well in corners and handled horribly. Speed wasn’t my issue, my issue was controlling the 730pp monster.. this helped me so much! I tested the settings in the 993 first and was amazed! So I kinda used the same settings for my GT3.. huge difference! I’m talking major differences!! This thing can turn on a dime now! This thing will pull you outta the corner!! This is how a Porsche is supposed to drive!! I’m sure my GT3 settings still need to be tinkered with but they’re fantastic for right now!! Major props dude!! Thanks!! Keep doing your thing, I’ll be waiting and watching!!!

Have driven a Porsche in gt7 yet but Ive found with other rear wheel cars a brake balance with bias to the front is a must have for me for better control . Nice vid HSG 👍

I've changed the settings of mine in gt7 and it's an handful to say the least. I tune it for the nürburgring and the constant unsmooth surface of sets the car especially over 140 an bump will send the car spinning. I don't know how to resolve it tbj

@@dc1564 Have a few porsches set up now for nuhringburg that I find easy to control ,try to throw some ballast on (for evenish weight front/rear, stay above 100 height and don't stiffen the suspension too much, not too much camber on the rear(0 .7 - 1.5 and fine tune to your liking from there. Easier with some RR cars than others, and heights vary- look at the wheel clearances and behaviour in the replays to get a feel. Best of luck 👍 Ps if that's 140 mph look at rear down force also.. is a must for the end of the long straight!

having logged about 30 hrs of GT7 & played with multiple cars and setups of my own....This car hands down is the easiest and most enjoyable to race with regardless of how you set it up! I'll have to try this for a mild tune and see as well (along w the other 3 I have currently...lol)

Helped a lot with the Porsche cafe challenge. Spent a full 4hours yesterday spinning around with traction on 4 where now its a gift on 0 traction. The rain still gets me but I finished 3rd this time after spinning in the rain. 🤞Next attempt it wo t rain too soo in the race 🏁

I’m getting back in to Gran Turismo after many years of other, more Arcady racing games like need for speed and Dirt and I just want to say that I used this tune on my 993 and it’s SIGNIFICANTLY better now and I’m blown away. I’m interested to see if you do transmissions tunes. New subscriber 👍🏽

I'm looking forward to your Camaro Z28 because without traction control I can not handle this thing haha. Good to see ya back making tuning videos though, always a decent base to start from Also worth noting I'm not completely terrible at the game, I just can't get the handling down on this specific car (was fine with it on GT Sport), you touch the accelerator slightly while not in a straight line and it does its best beyblade impression

You should try raising the body height all the way up stiffening the suspension all the way and lowering the dampers. As well don’t go above 0.5-1.5 camber on road cars made the road cars feel night and day difference for me as far as stability goes.

@Ali A me too, and less breaking sensitivity on the diff too, in fact all 3 diff settings totally the opposite direction to normal. It's a challenge gt7, I only had access to gt5 in a friend's house fir the last few years but I went all in with this and have a ps4 at home now. Loving it

@@doubleA_96 yeah lowering the car is good on really smooth tracks but I’ve noticed in gt7 most tracks have a lot of bumps and they will send you to the shadow realm if you bottom out.

@@HSGAutomotive it gets better…. I have always hated and avoided Porsches, until today. Yesterday I could barely get 3rd on Maggiore, 21 seconds behind, today I was in 1st on the 4th lap and won by 2.2 seconds!! 😳. Damn! Btw, I am 57 years old, not 15! I will be needing a 97 MR2 tune! 😉

Any idea what it is in particular that makes the Porsche GT3’s so tough to drive in this game? They were my favorite cars in Forza 7. However in GT7 the absolute slightest steering angle under braking and the back end wants to snap around on you. Even if I brake perfectly in a straight line and turn in gently, eventually before the apex, the back end starts swinging around. Trailing throttle helps but then pushes you wide. Is it primarily the roll bar stiffness, springs rate, etc? Trying to find the common denominator to apply to a the different generation GT3’s. And thanks for the video!

I’d like to see what the difference would be if you tuned the ‘07 GT3 to a similar PP. I’ve been fighting that car for hours trying to get a good tune on it for SPA. I tried your ‘11 tune on the ‘07 and it did give me some insight, but not enough to make up the huge time deficit to 1st. Anyway, thanks for your tune.

I will try this because i put everything in my GT3 including all the non-removable items like bore up and stuff and now I can't control it, not even with TC at 5, just the gentlest push on the throttle and it will spin out of control.

So in this particular race where your limited to 650.00pp I've tuned mine to exactly that. It has way to much power but I still can only get 2nd. I'm loving the challenge and most of all the game!

Couple of thoughts from a news subscriber.... 1) Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. 2) Would this apply to the GR.3 Car as well? I realise in game thats a '17 ,odel and this is a '16 model. 3) Can you do a basic "Tuning for Dummies (or the 45+ year old who don't have a clue)" as to what affects what. What is an anti-roll bar and when I adjust it, it does XXXX to the car? That sorta stuff is woefully missing from the game, given that the game got insanely tuning heavy.

I second this. HSG has a background in car mechanics I'm pretty sure, so he's great at this sort of thing. That tuning for dummies guide is a great idea, once he gets down all the little idiosyncrasies the tuning system has - from what I've gathered, I get the impression it's not the most realistic so it might take a while to figure it out.

Yeah I’ve had a few requests for an overall guide so it might be something that I do. As far as transferring over the tune to the Gr3 model, I don’t expect it to be a 1:1 thing, but you could certainly give it a try and see how it feels

Great tune that makes the car stick to the road like glue and I do like it. But My only issue with it is that it makes my trueforce wheel constantly vibrate the whole time and it soon makes your hands feel numb. Is there some way to illuminate the feedback without altering the wheels settings cause I prefer them all up full

So my front downforce is not going under 170 and rear under 280.is it because of wide body, cause i cant find any other reason, or they change something resently. All i did was buying all the best tunning OPTIONS, and ad nos gas, and then put the ecu down to 71 % and drive the shit out of it. To end 1ste is really hard even with all the OPTIONS. Goodluck👍🏼everybody

I'm going to give the 911 another chance. I swear this car always wanted to kill the drivers. The oversteer is like a magnet. I wanted to smash my controller many times.
