I am curious about the deliberate bump you give to the car in front (at left hand bend after the straight, 2. lap I think). Is that not rather bad etiquette? I am guessing you do a soft bump because you can probably can get away with it without affecting SR, but still be harrassing the driver in front, possibly getting them to fail the bend and loose the place. Could you elaborate on this practice? Anyway thanks for the race. Very engaging to watch when you have worked hard on it yourself (but I am a noobie way down at D/S).
Great question, this is a bump draft and it’s actually good sporting etiquette as it’s typically 2 cars working together to gain more speed to catch the pack ahead rather than fight each other and lose time to the leaders.
This is a bump draft to help each other catch up to the pack in front. Instead of fighting for T1 and slowing us both down it gives us momentum to catch up.
