It's a banger update, easily the best one we've had to date!

It is an outstanding update. I’m not a big rally fan, but I really can’t complain.

For context a Nismo 400r sold for 1.2 million at auction (I'm not sure if it's dollars pounds or euros but I know it's not yen)

GT3RS dog walked everything when I tried it as expected, unmatched in corners in its class.

the highlight of the update for me is the Demon, LFA and 992 gt3 RS

I'm so glad I've been grinding Sardegna for a week! Can't wait to try out the snow track and those sick new engine swaps, not to mention the lfa! Wooo it's like Christmas!

Fantastic update this is what we should be getting instead of the mindless drip feeding they like to throw out hopefully they stick to this kind of update from here onwards 🤞 side note the LFA sounds incredible 🤩

The 400r is 1/44 in real life, car is priceless

I really like how they make quick race rewards a decent amount of cash, the bonus added base on your collectors level and circuit experience makes the rewards similar to a standard event. Now I finally can race whatever I want in nurburing without doing extra money grinding race to afford upgrades on my cars

I really want to play this update especially for the snow circuit but i moved house and I can't find my GT7 disc! 😢

This is one of the rare occasions since release where I don't know where to start: Driving School? The Cars itself? Menu Books? Circuit Experiences? There's surprisingly enough content to keep me occupied for more than 2h, which is a good change of pace compared to the bread crumb updates we had in the past! Still, I somehow have the feeling that something is missing in this update... new mission races perhaps? Luckily they haven't bothered to update the suspension and tyre Physics again, which makes me as a tuner f****** happy!!!

Glad you bought up the issue of really only being in competition with 1 car on the track while all the others just get in the way. It's my number 1 issue with all the recent GT games, so many of the events don't really feel like races, more like glorified time trials with some mobile chicanes thrown in. It's what limits my desire to put more time into the game.

Damn good update , the LFA feels great around corners. The snow track was a breath of fresh air and the new update reminds me of the later updates we got for GT 5. I remember it had daily or weekly races with good payouts. Pretty sure they made custom races pay more too. 3 laps on Tsukuba with with default settings pays 27.800cr. I don't remember seeing that kind of payout for such a short race.

I LOVE playing in the snow. I have a ton of custom races but I've never considered any of the rally tracks for them. I am considering Lake Louise this time

The snow oval will be perfect for some bangerracing especially at the night setting which looks stunning. Im really happy with the update

It's an outstanding update comparative to GT7 updates so far, irrespective of personal preference on cars. The weekly challenges are an excellent addition as they give incentive to race other track/car combinations that you probably wouldn't have done and that single make race for the GT3 RS was great to see. The new track seems surprisingly fun and is definitely gorgeous! The pickup truck race on snow was more fun than I would have imagined. I don't mind the difficulty thing of Sophy, for me it is that they tend to drive a little more realistically than the normal AI and that is a big improvement in itself. Cars wise I was pleasantly surprised by some and disappointed by one... the 190E Evo II sadly. Not the car itself but the STUPID bonnet camera position. I already hate the inconsistency of bonnet cam positions in the game (and rear view camera too) but this one is ridiculous - like putting a step ladder on the roof of the car and driving from the top of it. It made driving it disappointingly awkward. Damn I wish I had stayed with bumper cam as I did with ALL previous GT games but for GT7 I switched to bonnet cam... just wish there was some consistency there. Great overview of the update as always HSG.

AI in custom races would be 👍

If you watch Doug demuro review on the demon, he really said in his test drive that it's quite an easy car to drive for a muscle car with big power.

That tesla is a bit quicker in game than irl. Quarter mile at 128. Irl its like 116? Also Demon at full upgrades is INSANE! And alot stickier than i thought😮

The Nismo 400R sold at auction for 1.6 million, there was also another one that hit an auction at 2million dollars, so the price of the 400R is pretty much bang on. Just need an Evo 8, Escort Cosworth n maybe add pikes peak back to GT7, like shiiiiiiit we ain't seen that track since GT2 back on the PS1 🤣. Think it's great, a lot more content and a lot more for those who don't just play in sport. Overall really happy with this.

We were discussing it in the discord and the widebody for the charger (as well as some of the other parts) is almost exactly the same as the fast and furious 9 charger

Aside from the cars, the Event Directory is my favorite part of this update. Before, it was just so darn tedious to check each track for any races I didn't finish or trying to do all races of a certain series.

I absolutely had a blast playing this At the same time, I hope the motegi circuit series can make a comeback as well, and also marina bay street circuit.

i dont mind the weekly events using track i have done already i redo them often anyway for change of tracks/car combos good addition in my eyes the mass new events added is very welcome, think they could have upped the payout on the 900pp races akin to the "grind" tracks

This is an amazing update the best we ever had for gt7 and even gt sport

For the master license the notable prize cars are the Amg black series, LFA and the Mp4/4 at the end

I feel like they might be planning to include every car from the GT movie in the game

As i play Forza these days i went back to check the update and i agree it's a good upgrade for those who are still interested in the game. A new circuit, a few cars, GT Sophy, there are all good points. But what i like also is the weekly challenges. Like Forza when you have played the campaign a person needs a reason to drive a car. For those who are better than me, they have added the master licence. That is also a good element. Also the 4 player split screen is a nice fun factor. Myself i will be playing both games and check which direction these games will go. But GT7 has taken a good step forward. 😊

This is easily the best update the game is a much better more interesting game for it now hopefully we will see more snow tracks in the future too im thinking the Scandinavian countries are perfect for this, also wheres my dam 1990 crx😂

The new snow track isn't what I expected or even asked for but it's a really beautiful looking course and I'm always for the beautiful settings like Sardegna. And the new cars we got was satisfactory in my opinion. The Mercedes 190 I thought was a really beautiful car when I saw it in Gran Turismo 4 and I bought it and it drives fantastically. Been considering trying to make a touring car build of it and doing the same to the 1989 BMW M3 and see which one is better. I love the 400R. It's my favorite R33. Definitely looking forward to doing a Fast and Furious build on it.

Wow the 205 turbo in the snow.....this is an utterly amazing game that just keeps giving.. And even better in vr I suppose, got to get the Sony vr2 at some point...

Interesting, the Dodge Demon has up to date the widest front tires of any production car ever made. 315/40r18. That might explain why it handle well despite it's weight.

The price on the 400R is kind of crazy, but it makes sense. Only 40 of those were ever made, it goes without saying they're extremely valuable nowdays.

I've tried out a few cars so far and got gold on the snow track (which was harder than expected), the Merc is really cool for a DTM build and can even be fitted with a Turbo, it sounds weird in really high revs though... The Demon is really cool, insane power but unfortunately drag racing is dominated by 4wd in this game, haven't tried the Porsche yet but I can only imagine it will be amazing

The Porsche GT3 RS is my favorite car from this update. It's a delight to drive, and of course it looks great.

The nismo 400r is expensive because of its rarity. Only 40 of them were made (rumored 44) and only 21 of them are registered and acknowledged as still remaining in the world. One of the most recent ones sold at an auction for $2 million + USD basically the car is a real life unicorn lol and if you're lucky enough to see one in person then I envy you 😆

The c63 engine into that 190 would be awesome

The Master license is a good challenge. Able to get gold in all the National B class licenses but it takes a bit of concentration. Reminds me of some of the older GT game licenses

I love the update!! The only knock I have in it, being a sport mode player is no new race cars and a proper road track. All in all I'm very happy though.

It is crazy price tag for the Nismo, but it seems to be realistic, one has been offered for over 2 mill

Something to note about splitscreen! As someone who uses the feature regularly, to be able to use the cars from your garage, you need to add them to your Favourite list of cars! Then it'll show up as cars you can race in splitscreen! cheers!

Hellcatts are tire melters and not forgiving in real life but the demon does come with drag radials stock.

Licenses I have now made to international A and finished all gold....just super license to go....found some harder. I noticed in IA had to play with traction control, hope that helps. Also I am on a controller.

Gt7 is worth playing again.

Can't wait to try this new updated. Not going to lie I have the new forza and I'm experiencing so many glitches right now I'm about to give up on it and I paid for anything. I would of been annoyed. So I do love GT7 for two reasons. 1. Not being bugged 2. The free updates

You people may not care but I'm glad they added change car on tracks which is easier than going back all the way to the map and go to garage to change car which is annoying.

For the First time they actually put effort into Singleplayer

I've had a complete change of mind on this update mainly because of the Master licence, I'm finding it bloody hard going and I'm on easy mode. Why can't we set the car up to how we use them in the event mode.

First good update in ages. I play all of them but rarely for longer than an hour or two. I spent like 5 or 6 hours today and there's still quite a bit left to do. Loving the master licence, not TOO difficult still but is a shade more challenging than the basic licences and uses some of the newer cars and tracks. Some cracking rewards on offer too if you get all Golds. GT3RS (992) is HILARIOUS. Basically a GT Race car on streets tyres it feels like, barely counts as a road car. LFA looks and sounds great, haven't had a chance to fool around with any other new cars yet. Just tons of stuff to do and incentives to do things other than online and the same 2-3 money grind events, which for me was the biggest reason I stopped playing beyond update days.

I think the nismo 400r in real life is very rare so the price kinda justifies it?

Might want to check out the custom race rewards now! They are not optimal but they definitely feel a lot better than before.

One that I don’t like is that some of the gr3 events now have bop on, I kinda don’t like that coz I like grind money on the gr3 events but now most of them have the bop applied😭

My transducer stopped working with this update. Does anyone else have this problem? Or do I need to strip my wheel down😢

My favorite thing about the update is they have straight up tripled the amount of money you get from custom races. And also personally I’ve been waiting for a snow track so 2 big thumbs up from me……all though I am still waiting for the Daihatsu Midget

Thos feels like what they done in gt sport with the cup of nations in the x2019 same tracks the gt3 Cup as the same tracks and cars that were in the campaign mode even in the opening movie you see lewis Hamiltons name in the credits just seems a bit weird that pd have patched gt sport spec 2 into gt7 and called it spec 2 😢

Disagree with your final take there about these 'not being free updates' - they are free. The base game when released was probably lacking for what we paid for, and they make up for that along the journey with 'free dlc'. IMO if you're going to say the DLC is lumped in with the initial purchase price then you can't complain about lack of content at launch at the same time. Ah well - good video as usual keep up the good work.

It's great we have the 992 gt3 rs. The greatest Porsche isn't in the game. The greatest Porsche is the 996 gt2 clubsport.

I haven't gone through it all yet, but as a PS4 Pro user I'm starting to think the divide between PS4 and PS5 is coming. With sophy 2.0 and a PS5 only track. Wondering what I'll do when we hit the graphics wall and the PS4 can't handle any future DLCs . Will future DLCs warrant a PS5 purchase. More and more of the new games are PC only. May have to do some window shopping.

again GT7 has the most realistic physics in general but again in REPLAY the animation of the snow dust that comes from the spinning wheel is poor it gives me the sense that the car floats on the snow or dirt althought the wheels are spinning the dust is very very poor and i think the gravity effect should be a little bit better lets hope they understand

Great update. People not happy with it should probably play something else, I love it so far, good range of new stuff to do. The Porsche is amazing, I don’t I’ll buy the nismo as 1.8 mil is just too much for what is essentially just another Skyline. New licenses are fun (and tricky!), love the weekly challenges. All good stuff 🎉

Is this game worth 69$ in 2023/2024

The 400 R nismo worth 3.000.000 $ in USA …. And has been sold for 2.000.000 £ in UK last year ….you need an update bro 😂

Awesome update but unfortunately it won't save the game for me

At least we'll see snow in GT7 if not in real anymore. Apart from LFA and GT3RS it's nothing special. 1.8 mil cr. for a gtr nismo for which claim they've made 44 but in reality the number was higher, like all the others. This game desperately needs Silverstone, Hockenheim and new gt3 racers, not a snow resort track where you slide.

For me the only things I assume I won't like as I've not had the chance to even download the update yet is the new track simply because I find the rally physics in Gran Turismo to be complete rubbish, especially with jumps, the whole weekly challenge thing as I'm getting sick of everything having to have / becoming games as a service and the Sophy AI as how you described it is basically how the AI is in Forza Motorsport and especially Forza Horizon are and the AI in those games are utter garbage. Hopefully I'm wrong when I get the chance to download the update and play it.

I don't get the emojis. Admittedly I'm in my 40s but unless you can explain the significance of a computer generating stupid faces while I'm trying to race, it's a hard pass.
