It is better than GTA 5 in ragdoll physics. But this game between RDR2, it's a matter of preference. I don't understand why people keep starting war betweengames, can't we just all agree that we're entertained by different stuff and all of them are good?
And GTA 4 ragdolls entertain me more I have to say, but it's kind of dated if you put it in a new game. But with this and the game of GTA 4 itself, the game ages just fine.
Jesus these physics are incredible even up to today's standards. AI's reaction to bullet impact depending on the location, and then simulating how a human would react (losing balance, shock, looking at wound). GTA5 is such a step back in this department.
There is no standards when it comes to physics, it’s just Rockstar competing against themselves. The only games that even come close to GTA IV’s physics are other Rockstar games.
Gta 4 is so much better than gta v. Not because of graphics or anything I love me some high graphics not gonna lie but the small details such as cops falling back wounded and trying to shoot you at the same time with realistic ragdoll physics, to being able to pick up objects laying around and throwing it at people. Really realistic
@The Chainsaw honestly it’s very fitting. GTA 4 deals with a lot of mob stuff, very New York. And GTA 5 is based off of LA so it would be very Hollywood like. That’s just how I see it
Believe it or not, but GTA 5 has some of that too. It‘s very rare when fighting AI enemies but it’s common when you kill a player or die yourself in online. Try it out, you will see some amazing ragdoll after a few tries. I don’t know why Rockstar didn’t add those physics to regular NPCs too and made it occur more often when fighting enemies
This game was ahead of it's time and it took us so long to realize it. And what's truly incredible is that this game still has quite a few mechanics that are still better than video games being released today. And this game was released over A DECADE ago.
