@summitier22 that's because the game was released in the end of the ps3 and xbox 360s life cycle, so a lot of things got cut. Realistically, Devin is pretty scary he's like most American lobbyists they own the American political landscape own tons of things, even more scarier then Martin imo if they fully fledged him out they would've shown he has connection with organized crime organizations, but sadly it never showed, to me the story felt rushed I wish in free mode he would send merryweather after you like Martin does with his gang, I feel like sending merryweather to other players in gta online was a cut feature from single player. I mean bro literally has connections to rich people from CCP in China
People say Devin is the worst antagonist really didn't watch this cutscenes or understood the allegory GTA V is about Weston isn't meant to be a menace like Dimitri Rascalov or a betrayer like Big Smoke/Lance Vance, its a subtle critique of late stage capitalism and Finance bros ruining the perfect world view of people like Trevor and Michael (Like the elites ruining normal peoples life)

If Solomon told Michael about movie having copies, Michael wouldn't chase Molly and she wouldn't die, and Devin wouldn't be pissed off at Michael. But on the other hand, they would probably still have problems if the movie succeeded, and if Devin Weston still didn't pay trio for the cars.
True but Solomon was putting on an act about the analog to buy time to get the movie in theaters. Unfortunately it also worked on Michael, but Devin would’ve still been pissed because he “made a fool out of him”.

Their tech companies are run by Indians and Chinese, so instead of hiring a legal us citizen who can speak English fluently, they will hire a remote candidate living in either India or China who can speak the same mothertongue, and they will save lots of money on the salary, and they won’t need to sponsor a visa for the person. A software engineer in india or China makes less than a minimum wage worker in even the states with the lowest minimum wage when you convert the currencies from usd to either yuan or Indian rupees.
When you think about it, Harold joseph is the only one who wanted Franklin dead, while Franklin was the only one he wanted dead. Wei Cheng wanted both Micheal and Trevor dead, though he may have released Michael if Trevor turned himself in. In reality, he wanted Trevor only dead. Steve Haines wanted Trevor dead, and same with Dave Norton, who Trevor was considering as an antagonist, but Michael said he needed to stay alive. Devon Westin wanted Michael dead since he was responsible for Molly’s death, which made a fool out of him.
@@ConnieSlasher Apparently for what it implies, devin knew how to deal with steve and david before we even meet him, after all steve seems to be friendly to devin, but yeah, having some guy with contacts is waaay more problematic than having to deal with some "G-man"

But either way Trevor Phillips is the most evil character in the game and possibly in the entire franchise. That’s why ending A is not just the good ending but probably also the most realistic ending.
@@bryanlolwtf04 think about it Michael and Trevor are a white version of Franklin and Lamar Franklin is smart and wise just like Michael while Lamar is reckless like Trevor same with Haines and Weston Haines is just a sane version of Trevor they are both sadistic except Trevor has a moral code not hurt innocent people only the ones who get on his nerves and in his way Weston is a cocky version of Michael since both of them are filthy rich same with Dave and Lester those two are pretty much alike you can even notice how both of them wanted to kill the other versions of them like Haines wanted Trevor dead because he messed with the Merry Weather and Weston wanted Michael dead because Michael killed his assistant
What’s weird is Michael sort of helped on the first part of the job, and he never got paid for that first car. He forgot about it cause of Solomon richards.

But yeah Devin is probably the top 2 after Dutch,the narcissist asshole who's know his blabber ways and like Dutch he didnt give a shit on Molly(kinda ironic) i also kinda hated Michael for ignoring the situation with Devin because he was "sugar-watered" with Solomon gig.
