Alex is just extremely reluctant to sink Blimpus in this series, he passes on good opportunities in a number of hunts. I believe he's afraid of failing to hit the blimp and exposing himself to other chasers by standing around. I'm still hoping he'll shake the paranoia and show us some fireworks one of these months.

@@modothegreat108 Alex is "missing" a lot of opportunities in these series. Blimpus was a 100% shot in that one situation in this ep, there was no way to miss it. Went to the repair shop, repaired his car, changed the colour... but why not upgrade it? Stuff like that man... it's episode 40, they could have improved so many stuff by now.

@@modothegreat108 in an outtake on Longbow's channel he tries rocketing the blimp and only manages to take it down with his third rocket. They discuss it afterwards and come to the conclusion that it's probably not worth it shooting it down if it takes this many tries.

think it was a mugger. Part of the Helloween Event, apart from demonic Tornadoes stalking the player, there is supposed to be random Slasher AI's spawning to grief players too. I think the mysterious random pedestrians that kept appearing were the Slashers.

I believe that around Christmas the map, or at least the city, is covered in snow by default.

Actually the mugger was a fun idea. Alex has gotten too good at avoiding the hunters, I personally would love to see more high-speed chases and narrow escapes. The mugger poses an additional challenge, imagine Alex doing his best trying to blend in the AI traffic with hunters around and the mugger giving his position away at the worst possible moment... I would add the rule of "can't kill the mugger" and see how it plays out, if only for once.

I agree, spawning an AI that magically knows where the hunted is and will reliably make a beeline towards him is cheating, in my view.

The issue with the train is that it doesn't spawn that much, and so waiting for a train to come by is not good for a youtube video.

And waiting for my monthly fix...it starts getting really bad when I can see the calendar hanging on my kitchen refrigerator with only 2 days left I start getting the sweats. At last, it's the 1st of the month and I'm up at 4AM in my recliner with a cup of coffee and my laptop, tapping the play button, feeling the rush of STH pulsating through my veins and knowing that the world is once again, functioning as designed.

He's already debunked that mindset a few times, the hunters can only have a set amount of helicopters, and if there's 1 more than intended, it'd immediately be suspicious.

Seems to me the tension between them two has been getting higher for a while now.

Can someone explain to me when and how that started? Yes Laddo put up some funny blimps on his tracks, and yes he screwed Ales over that last no rules STH when he looked at the map, but that was all fun and games. When did it morph into a rivalry with both taking constant shots at each other?

@@addickland5656 I don't know for sure but I do know they started jabbing about laddo being a rookie and Alex giving him lessons on forza. I think things are all in good fun right now too

Isn't there a setting in the settings menu for default radio station? And you can set that to radio off? The new remaster trilogy has that.

If you mean the one at 26:50 it's part of the Halloween event. I believe it was labelled as something like "Psychopathic AI will be going around the city causing havoc" in the update log

@@daggern15 that wasn't this, there were 4 psychos that could spawn at night that were included in that, all 4 of them used melee weapons

some AIs will get aggressive and try to fight you if you hit their car, its rare that they have guns but it happens. It's more common in the ghetto areas and in sandy shores though

This series is the best thing about GTA.

As good as the idea is of this series, the lack of progression for 1 ep per month, only 12 eps a year... is quite disappointing imo.

@@rorschach9604 it takes a lot of effort im sure to make these episodes plus i think it makes the series more special we dont get it all the time. Less is more

@@RockerJC89 End of the day it's more or less the same formula for 40 eps in a row. Ik some ppl will jump on to say that "many changes happened" but I don't agree rly. Not enough when you have this show only 12 times an year. That's just my opinion. Ik it takes a lot of effort to make these eps but this isn't smth that's just now beginning to appear, no it's... well 40 eps in. There's no edits, it's straight just Alex's camera and even tho he's started to do more stuff and be more creative I'd say... there are definetely some stuff that are like crying out for a change. I saw a comment about the radio for example, how it can be switched off completely from the beginning of the game. Mind that it's 40 eps in. If you go around the comments you'll see a lot of recommendations about small but very key changes that genuinely sound like great ideas and the overall like push is for more bravery, more acting on the spot when the moment arrives. So so so many times that damn Blimpus could have fallen down. You see those missed opportunities, you wait a month and see them again. This is just a fan speaking his heart out on about a genuinely amazing GTA V show that genuinely could be even better with key improvements.

@@rorschach9604 dont like the formula? Dont watch then? Lol The series HAS evolved plenty times due to Alex's ideas and ideas from fans taken on board which has kept the series nice and fresh. But also you know what you're getting at the same time. Plenty of viewers legitimately look forward to this every month. Thats a pro of once a month. Cant please everyone that will always be a fact but also at the end of the day its a formula Alex has found that works for a series that is basically gold in my view. But yeah if you dont like....dont watch lol problem solved

Alternatively, if the window is already down or broken, shoot the window of another AI, this will make them freak out and drive off at speed with a broken window. The hunters may assume it's Alex.

@@GreydenCampbell Great ideas honestly. None of this is ever tested, I feel like a lot of eps are way too similar. Ideas like that can make the show more interesting. But I feel like ideas like that are just rarely even been read.

@@rorschach9604 as has been said many times, filming STH takes a lot time and planning. Yeah, there's a chance it could work, but I dont think Alex wants to potentially throw away a recording session just to test a "gREaT IdEa"

@@Humr666 Potentially throw away a recording session? Why? Because testing the idea mentioned above is sooo risky? It's sooo outlandish? Really? After 40 eps smth like that can't even be tested? Well that's one way to look at those things, let's try not to pretend that's the only likely outcome shall we?

@@GreydenCampbell idea is great. But, I think the broken Ai car will de-spawn once it's not in the visibility range of any player. Also shooting other AI will give Alex wanted level which is not a good idea as he can't call Lester all the time.

When he said "Chris, you'd better be ready" I realized that Alex really had made this STH a difficult one.

Tornados simply can't get that fast, they are slow upgraded too

@@jakelowery7398 there are a few hopeless cars, like Regina, Surfer or Tornado; But a Hummer with Turbo and full upgrades could be interesting (and mostly unstoppable), and it can go over smaller fences and guard rails that normal cars can't, so could cut short a chase here or there....

@@jakelowery7398 ah, are there any cars that are nearly hopeless? Something that would be slow before being upgraded but competent when upgraded? I’m not saying he should make a hyper car but take something that’s slow and make it quick like a stock buffalo or something else that he normally would take.

He's done it in the past with an MPV. and it got him away in chases. I don't know why he doesn't do it more often. He had the perfect opportunity in this video. He was even in the Mod Shop and didn't upgrade.

@@ChewieOnTwoWheels If he gets in a chase, the car's burnt. You could make the argument he can just re-spray the vehicle, but eventually they'll tell he's just driving the same car.

@@goldosprey Nah, the AI is known to making dodgy turns and stopping and starting while making a turn, it's just how the GTA V AI works, by this moment Alex should know exactly how dumb it can be. No fault but his own.

Honestly I feel like Laddo would have sticky bombed his car and tried to blow him up with it. Alex made the right choice storing it.

I thought he might also have had an opportunity but the blimp may have just been out of range of the missiles. I don't remember their range as it's been a long time since I've played gta.

When they edit the “discussing” episode I’d like to see them edit in footage from hunter pov during those tense moments. Spliced into Alex’s footage. That’d be sick

Yea I've always thought it would be worth hiding in plain sight by behaving like an impatient AI to try and make the car in front look more suspicious

but then 5 seconds later after they murder the AI, they know what Alex was driving for sure and which way he went

@@Turkkish1 but if the AI behind him starts getting impatient and the hunters are checking an intersection it would provide Alex a bit of time and the ability to get away from that intersection

I do exactly the same thing and my job is in transport engineering! Did some work in drive on the right countries and often confused my colleagues by referring to the turn across traffic as a 'right'. Probably doesn't help that my sense of left & right has never worked so means I really do think of turns by conflict rather than direction.

That's not what happened. That was obviously a Hunter who jumped from the car park next to the impound lot, which was right next to where he was. He just didn't look in the direction the car came from, for some reason..
