Survive the Hunt 40: for this special Halloween edition, Chris had set out his Fränken Stange for Alex to grab, before Chris would come and pick him up in a Cargobob helicopter..if he manages that far.
I decided to give the blimp a try for these, and the result is...mixed
Alex's objective is the destroy 3 orange Pantos (representing pumpkins), find the hidden Fränken Stange, escape, and wait for Chris to pick him up at a prearranged location

Survive the Hunt is a long-running GTA 5 RU-vid Series created by Alex Day. Survive the Hunt 1 through 40 (and counting!). The goal is for Alex to survive 24 in-game hours, while we the Hunters patrol the map with no maps, no names over players. We're limited to the slower vehicles in the game (limited Sports and and no Super cars), and also only allowed pistols and shotguns. Alex is unrestricted in vehicle and weapon selection. Can he survive being chased by this many incompetent GTA 5 players?

I'm prepared to get roasted...but it was my first time flying the blimp, so that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it x) Someone had the nerve to comment that the blimp was cheating on Alex's vid. I think it's clear I wasn't, and I just happened to get lucky picking the right car (but so lucky that I didn't actually think it could be Alex, which is why my responses were so tentative lol)

I thought you did a great job finding that car. Unless you're specifically checking the rail, his escape was hard to follow. I did think for a moment in the video that there might have been the time of day desync and you spotted a car without headlights, but nope! Just a good job spotting a felon in an area it really shouldn't be

14:53 you can see Alex drop down into the storm drain, in that road triangle right at the tail of the blimp. If your eyes were at the other end of the blimp, you'd definitely missed it. I wonder who that was leaving the storm drain at 14:57. Can't be Alex, as the car comes from the other direction.

I think if you had a bit more experience in the blimp you would have caught him. Having watched Alex' video first, had you been a bit more familiar with the blimp, you would have noticed (out of the periphery) the car out of place at @14:03. If you had noticed the out of place car, it's an easy track at that point, you would have been able to track his switch to a mini, and it's all done at that point. I don't think the mini has enough high end speed to out run the blimp's view distance. All that being said, thanks for trying the blimp this time around. It was enlightening to see the blimps perspective in a StH vid. Very tough to deal with a third person view with a gigantic blimp.

So unlucky, easy for us to see knowing where Alex went when he jumped off the motorway. You have a lot of pixels to look at.

Glad you made this... I was really curious about the blimp's perspective. Honestly, I don't know how you can figure anything out from that height.

Mentioned this in the discussion video, but a little idea for additional neat behind the scenes follow up after a Survive the Hunt though would take minimal effort. A watch party with the hunters watching the raw footage from Alex on discord, capturing the conversation. So we'd be able to hear the thoughts on what hunters were thinking after the fact in the the crazy situations, and their thought processes for why they do the crazy things they do : )

Love how @25:44, Alex is driving on the highway on the right. You can see a car taking the turn on the interchange, going parallel to Longbow. It's the only vehicle driving against traffic. Obviously hard to spot at night while your trying to look all over the place. :D

Actually, it has a psychological bias, because everybody just follows Pega and Longbow trying to focus the search for the target on that "chase" and lost the focus from reality. On my first watch, I cannot find Alex in the video even if I knew he driving through the British side of the road, just when I rewatch again.

Gives you two whole POV's to look at, the blimp with many things to keep track of and Alex thinking the blimp is always watching xD

NEW GAME IDEA. Each time you swap out vehicles, you have to blow up the old vehicle that you just swapped out of. Each vehicle explosion grants you a peak at the map for 5 seconds.

would be very nice to put timestamps on points of interest. it's pretty hard to watch whole hour of foreign language, especially when everybody talks at one time it becomes just a sound noise

17:25 - That white car approaching the curve in the road in the bottom right corner of the screen - check out the "turn" it makes. And the yeloow one in the bottom left corner of the screen at 21:05. Yeesh, the AI is janky.

13:07 wait what?! Why does it seem like one car just jumps from one side of the highway to the other side there?? That's a weird thing to suddenly see happening... Actually, it starts a bit earlier, at about 13:02. O.. I guess that's a hunter's car looking at its behaviour after that as well... never mind... 25:44 Hmm but I guess you probably shoud've seen Alex on the highway there haha..

Is it possible to have blimp scaled down by ~20%-30% via a mod? It would help get closer to cars maybe just enough for clearer vision, or can the graphics setting have any influence to improve the view? Don't know what settings is used for MP lobby, max mid or min ..

I really didn't think it was suspicious at first! It was just a random car in the area that was headed in the right direction. And cars seemed to despawn all the time from the blimp, so my response wasn't a good one. I think I'd do better whenever I do it again
