Gta 5 Challenge - Survive The Hunt #57 - Roadblocks, Roadblocks Everywhere 

Compared to some of the April Fool's pranks you see on the internet, you guys absolutely smashed it. 1 hr 18 mins of work ON TOP of the regular STH is actually insane.

Hope you guys revisit the idea of the roadblocks, it adds a great dynamic and make Alex plan his route a bit

7:45 No, Ghost Rider can not turn invisible, lol. I think it's safe to say that the flaming skeleton with the flaming bike and weaponry does not really go for stealth.

I really hope you guys are still doing these by the time the next GTA comes out. This fun concept on a whole new map would be so satisfying. Clean slate with no one knowing the quirks of the map yet.

Suggestion: Imposter Game Mode. One of your Hunters is an Imposter, secretly working for you. They can only do certain tasks to try and get the hunters off your scent, and they either can only do them a certain number of times and/or have a cooldown before they can go again. Hunters will not know who the Imposter is, either.

This _was_ a very good STH! I do understand Alex when he's disappointed on losing the challenge, but I'd say that from the spectator's perspective many of the episodes where he loses are really good ones. And I'm obviously not saying this because I'm wishing him to lose, but I do like it when he takes a bit of risk. He usually does, but there are also some episodes where he's been playing it really super-safe, keeping low for a long time in between some buildings, etc., and then the excitement kind of went low. I certainly don't want Alex to be brash and have the STH turn into some kind of roulette, but it's good when the chances of success and failure are something like 60/40, so that this show is as thrilling as it can be. And I don't know about you guys, but I do get chills down my spine watching a good episode of STH!

These STH episodes never get old! I've watched them all at least 10 times a piece. Some have tried to copy, but you can't duplicate the personality of the host or characters!

So i was eating my breakfast and watching survive the hunt and now i'm having my supper and wathing the other one, no fancy restaurant can compit with that.

The whole road blocks thing is a solid idea. hope it returns in a future STH. Always look forward to these.

I love the surprise roadblocks. They not only force you to re-think the routes and mess up your tediously thought-out plans, but they also play havoc with the AI logic and spawning AND with the hunters trying to get where they need to go. What do you think about adding a hunter driving a tricked out pink pri as well? If you blow that one up, hunters must immediately go to the docks before they can return to the hunt?

SO a THOUGHT OCCURS!! And its Thanks to the Opening of this video! The Thumbnail was pulled from a Hunters POV as it obviously didn't come from Alex's POV. So this Odea popped into and bounced around my Brain pan for a few weeks as I thought it Cool. It would be a Bit of a Monumental Task for an Editor BUT, and Bear with me here...I think as either a One Off or a Once a Year thing IF manageable, because it IS Doable.... FAIL RACE: SURVIVE the HUNT The MOVIE. Aiming for a Standard Action Movie Run Time of 90 minutes, an Hour and a Half, really an Extra 15 minutes give or take to like the 500k special. So HOW, well the Built In MOVIE EDITOR of course or OBS. Out of the Hunters, you would need as Many as Can to Record the Session and use something to Mark the time stamp for editing the episode together. Because we don't Usually get the Hunters POV and their Banter unless its posted by one of them. That Banter can be Fantastic and Funny through out the various chases that ensue, and the back and forth between Alex's calm talking then Nervous giddy excitement in those chases....some Well Timed Edits splicing those POVs in would Play Out LIKE A MOVIE. As All the Banter and Alex talking is Always UNSCRIPTED, it can make for some Great Moments. Like for This theres Plenty of Times where Alex is just kinda Yammering On and much we've heard before. All this does is make Lots of Opportunities during those times where switching back and forth Break Up those Slower Moments and then split screen to focus on those Intersecting Moments when Surprises Happen and then switch back to Alex for his Reactions, then back and forth following the Action from the best Hunter POVs and Best moments of Banter. Just like in a Good Action Movie. Easiest way to do it, record the session using Alex as the Main Feed as Always. Mark All the Moments of Intersectional Action between him amd the Hunters. Timestamps all the Best Moments in Calm and Action. Then Do the Same for the Hunters POVs. I'd Say as you get around 15 Hunters youd need 5 to 8 Hunters Able to Record and Send that to whoever would Edit this Monster of a task. Yes...I Know it IS a BIG Task, I dont know How and dont have the gear or I'd Offer to do it myself because I think it would be Fun. However I would be Remiss not to Add a SCENARIO for this to Bait the Idea for Whoever Reads this. I'm Hoping Alex does... Ok, Standard Start for a Normal STH episode. However....this is a THREE STAGE STH. Alex has FIFTEEN PRIS he MUST Blow Up within the 90 minute run time. MUST....and that's 5 per Half Hour. Will he Make it? Probably NOT BUT...the Quota Spurs on Greater Odds of getting Caught. It will be the Goal of the Hunters as always to try and Stop Alex within the runtime. However their Job Besides Just Hunting Alex...will be Arranging SURPRISES Around the City in Key Areas to Throw Alex OFF his Game. He has a Few Particular Habits that the Hunters are becoming familiar with so a few good...Spoiled Routes could occur for Alex. for the First Two Stages for the Hunters it's more a Game of CATS and MOUSE here. Their Job is to More Throw Alex Off his Game so Hunters will be ENCOURAGED to use any and All NON-LETHALS like Fireworks and Flares to Add to the Visual Cacophony. This can even be while Just Driving Around to throw the AI off to add to the fun. Anything that can break up the Normal Flow where Alex is trying to Hide within is Good. 1st Stage - Standard Beginning for Alex and he is Limited to his Usual Sedans and Lower vehicles. He Cannot Use Anything BUT Sedans and Lower for the first 30mins, No Upgrades allowed. Hunters are All in MINIS. And for Laughs, the Minis are Black body, Red Tops with Red Headlights and Neon lights. Those Minis CAN BE Max Upgraded. AIR Support: Blimp as Normal, if Blimp is Destroyed, get another Blimp allowed for this stage. All Hunters who get Killed during Stage 1 get Back in the Hunt, and can Respawn their Mini if trashed. ONLY Hubters can use the Repair Shop to Repair their vehicles in this stage. 2nd Stage 30 Minutes in, Alex MUST Switch to the MUSCLE CARS and Cannot go Lower Or Higher in vehicle Class. Alex CANNOT Upgrade any vehicles during this stage. HUNTERS for 2nd Stage are to Switch to UPGRADED Black and Red SEDANS, same detailing as the Minis so they Srand Out as Hunters for a Unified Event. Two Hunters for Stage 2 May switch to Vehicles as "Other", Big Rig, Armored police truck Or Ramp Car. Only ALEX can use the Repair shop to Repair during 2nd Stage. Oh Hunters Killed BY Alex in 2nd Stage MUST Switch to AIR SUPPORT, standard Helicopter or Blimp. Hunter Deaths by Accident, Respawn and Rejoin Hunt, Respawn Vehicle. This way Hunters get Encouraged to be More Daring which will lead to more accidents and close calls. For Stage 2 However...Alex Can Mess with the Hunters by Calling Muggers and the Police upon the Hunters. Muggers as Often as he likes, Police ONCE. 3rd and Final Stage... While the TARGET Run time is 90 minutes...its FINE to go into "OVERTIME" Here!! As This Will be the Harriest of Stages As...Hunters get to Bring In their BEST PERSONAL VEHICLES for the chase and Aside from No Fighter Jets or Attack Choppers of Weapon Firing Vehicles...ANYTHING GOES. The Twisted Metal like Rig, Ramp Cars, KITT or the Jet Bike...the Flying Delorean...its All Good for Stage 3. Alex CAN call in Merryweather services up to 3 Times during this Stage, Hunters can Call MUGGERS on Alex during this stage...Once Per Hunter Only. While Alex MUST TRY and get 15 Pris...lol, if he CANNOT By the Final Ten Minutes of Scheduled Run Time...then Alex MUST Try to ESCAPE Via Los Santos Airport by Any Aircraft he can get away in. Hunters Cannot CAMP as always...but May Converge there Only during the Final 10 Minutes.

"I think we might get another car in time" 10 seconds later: "shoot everyone!!!!"

While I enjoy FailRace content in general, the beam NG content is always fun but survive the hunt is especially good 😊

I've always thought the hunters could try using a cargobob as the air vehicle carrying a car, so then they could drop the car on Alex during a chase. Seems like it might be fun.

Is rawe ceek, we get double STH, and Alex remembered to check Simeon cars at the start! I vote for the roadblocks to stay, the silliness at the start with Alex getting boxed in was enough to convince me.

From a game design standpoint, this formula could be amazing as a proper game. Driving around a city, masquerading as AI. It's obviously a working gameplay loop; Spy Party, Just Act Natural, and West Hunt are some prime examples of the concept. The potential for added complexities or minigames as well as innumerable. A tailing game-mode where you have to follow a player without getting caught, for example, could be a fun version of this format for a smaller playercount. Honestly, Watchdogs 1 and 2 are the best examples of this unofficial game as actual minigames. Watchdogs 1 literally has the tailing gamemode I mentioned earlier.

Brilliant episode. The roadblocks should stay as a fixture for the series to add enough benefit for the hunters.

Damn alex over done it in the end, beyond that it was epic from start to finish. First video Alex did earlier was an April fools joke it was fun to watch if you had not watched yet

I stopped halfway through the first StH because of visitors and came back later to this one. Took me 15 minutes to figure out why I couldn't find the point where I left. Jokes on you, we got to enjoy over an hour of extra shananigans :D

I believe that restricting the use of large vehicles to one of each kind would be beneficial because it would encourage hunters to use lengthy vehicles like the MOC carefully.

Little tip when trying to hide as AI at red lights hold the e-brake and gently hold the gas and break down just enough to show the break lights it even affects the AI a little

It would be interesting to see a STH with more than one blimp, if possible enough blimps over the city it makes it virtually almost impossible to stay incognito, only down side to the hunters is not as many on the ground to take him out but maybe being able to keep visual on him for longer would make up for the lack of ground vehicles

Alex, on foot, with hunters everywhere and freaked out AI causing a scene. "This is fine" almost gets run over by Laddo and has to do a 180 immediately after "Still fine." After getting in car, "That went well!" Meanwhile I'm thinking its all over

Game idea: Survive the Hunt but for half the time and in a smaller area. If Alex survives the allotted time, the game flips into Hunt the Survivors 🤣

Judge Dredd has a bike, as does Batman and Batwoman. IIRC Cyclops (X-Men) has one too, as does Logan/Wolverine.

My girlfriend came up with a good idea, why not add something like affixs for the whole hunt kinda like the Taskmaster ones but maybe like "Roadblock" Hunts can lock down roads like this episode or "Brown" only allowed Brown cars, "agents" 2 hunters are blended into traffic basically hunter Alex's

I really don't know if this or the other video was the April Fools edition. But I kinda liked both versions. The 'prius races' in the other were fun, but the blockades were even more fun here. I like both concepts, and both should reappear, not just for April 1st.

I think perhaps a good idea would be have instead of just the blimp, have the blimp plus three other random pegasus vehicles unknown to Alex which can be added during the hunt after certain milestones, and also for the last 5 minutes the hunters can use the vehicles weapons or abilities, unless they are way too op

for another game mode, i suggest trying to randomally select the order in which to destroy prius. you have to follow that order. it's slightly challenging as you'd be forced to go into area where it's heavily guarded on occasion.

I would tip one extra pound so long as each pound tip goes straight into pets for Apollo.

The scripted gave me a fun idea for you guys to try. One or two pri's driven by the hunters who can't leave a certain area like mirror park for instance. Although may need extra people for the pri's so the hunters don't loose numbers straight off the bat 😁

Hey! So I don't know how I came across your channel, but I've watched probably 30 or 40 of your Survive the Hunt videos now! To be completely honest, I'm not super interested in the rest of the videos - though they're all great. I'm already subscribed to about 300 channels and, quite frankly, can't subscribe to yours just for that series. It's good enough that every few weeks to few months I'll search it out and try to figure out which episode I watched last so I can get caught up. That said, is there some place I can look to just get a list of the STH series? The playlist hasn't been updated in 2 years and searching on RU-vid returns results out of order. Keep up the great work! You've got good gameplay and excellent commentary!

Most unrealistic thing about gta5 is the car suspension. Curbs that would turn your wheel into the wheels from the flying BTTF delorian are barely speed bumps.

A very The Platoon-ish kill in the ending

i know the supercar rule is in play but with the roadblocks in play, a small agile fast car seems like it might be worth a pick.

I'd like to see all the hunters get into cop cars before the game starts one of these times so that when the chase starts, everyone turns on their sirens and it becomes a full blown action scene.

Two survive the hunts? This is a welcome surprise.

You should try to do one where there is a sniper on the big construction tower that is allowed exactly one clip of ammo on a low end sniper with a good scope. He isn't allowed to look around or look at traffic until one of the hunters touches the latter at the bottom. He is allowed to use his ammo as he likes but he has to be really careful not to waste it and it will reduce their number by one person but also gives them very good scouting abilities around the tower, could be another building but you get the idea.
