Rockstar is becoming what they normally would be parodying.

So all they did was: -Re-positioned the sun -Thickened smoke -Added lens flare - Moved a tower -Lowered Franklin's seat -Moved person from gambling machine - Gave Lester a double glitch chair for his bad back(so considerate) -Selling 8yrO game AGAIN at full price *eXpAnDeD & EnHaNcED*

You know what's embarassing? The character switch footage in the trailer is sped up by video editing, not the actual real time performance.

why is everyone so mad? the license plates are yellow now and lester has a more comfy chair, how is that not worth 70 dollars?!

The ''seamless character switching'' is edited. At 2:59 the sun is pointed towards senora desert, while 3:03 it pointed towards Los Santos.

so they made the characters shinier, gave Lester an extra chair, added stars in the sky, removed a poster from Liquor Ace and possibly bugged the lighting effect on license plates. gee, all that speculation and waiting sure paid off

I love how Lesters chair is bugged in the trailer, being two chairs clipping inside each other.

2:59 the nonsense "seamless character switching" line just shows that they are trying to trick new players into thinking these things are new.

Rockstar is setting a deadly precedent for the future of gaming. Imagine a world where every game studio knows that if your game is a hit you can re-release it 6 times and you will still get sales.

The only thing that's "enhanced and expanded" is their wallets.

All I can see improved in E&E is draw distance in few scenes and different particle effects. Except for these, PC just crushes it when it comes to clarity, reflections and performance

I like how the few tiny things that the """""enhanced""""" version has (like lence flare, sun glare and god rays), you've been able to get (and other enhancements) with graphic mods on PC for a few years now (they're bannable if used in online though, which is fucking stupid)

PC version still seems to have better animal fur rendering.

If you buy this trash you contribute to a world where your grand children will be playing Skyrim and GTA 5 re-releases. Do you want to see another GTA or Elder Scrolls game in your lifetime? I remember I was 10, one afternoon playing GTA I, my brother came home with a bootleg GTA III CD, intalled it started it it, I was shocked, it was 3D, it was so real, I wouldn't even dare to play it for weeks. On Flashback FM "Push it to the limit" was playing and that game really felt like it was pushed to the limit technically, now GTA 5 is more like "Milk it to the limit".

So basically the "Expanded and Enhanced" version has slightly different reflections on glass surfaces and lighting that they shifted around for the trailer.

In summary: -Better sky, better godrays (0:37) -Better sky, again (0:53) -Seemingly deeper shadows (1:07) -Better lighting within the helmets, softer shadows (1:22, may be due to a different sun/time setting) -Shorter draw distance, lens flares (1:30, lens flare may be due to the sun being in a different place) -Sun is more noticeable, less bloom (1:45) -Sparks are different, there are way more particles, lens flares (1:58, lens flares may be due to a different sun position) -Significantly more particles, lens flare from different sun position (2:05) -Bloomier, warmer colors. (2:29, may be due to the sun being in a different position) -Explosion seems to be different, sun is in a different place (2:39) -Different lighting on the highway signs (2:56) -Sky is different, sun is too, meaning you can see the lens glare too (2:57) -Different clouds on the sky, different fog(?), sun is more orange (3:06, all of this may be due to a different sun/time setting) -Lighting on the helmet is different, and there are more smoke particles on the helicopter, and more sparks (3:18) -Glare from the bullets is different and more noticeable, explosion is different and bigger (3:21) -There is more bloom on the guy's shirt, alongside with Michael's helmet having better lighting within it (3:42, may be due to a different sun/time setting) -Lighting has deeper shadows and clouds have a different color, due to the sun being close (3:48) -Walls are darker (3:52, may be due to a different sun/time setting) -Depth of field is deeper, window is clearer (3:56) -Explosion smoke is different, with it scattering more rather than staying in one place, bullet fire is more noticeable (4:07) Overall, none of this is really all that significant, and quite dissapointing. I might have missed some things, I was focusing more on graphical changes, but if I did miss some stuff, please let me know.

I genuinely think PC looks better most of the times, this new release should be free for owners of last gen consoles because it looks pretty much the same.

Someone from the GTA Series Videos crew actually took his time to recreate these scenes... it feels like more work was put in this video than the ''Expanded & Enhanced'' version of GTA 5.

The trailers created by the community show yhe raw power of the creators and the editors. Together we have been behind this game showcasing to all those unknowing of its existence. I am using this in a commentary video I am starting to break away from the cinematic a bit. I respect this channel and all of your in it. All I can do its showcase the best the game has to offer when it releases and hopefully.. hold out for one more year. Amazing edit and comparison!

it seems that the only difference is "expanded and enhanced" has more lens flaires (which is most likely only for the trailer) and smoke which makes alot of explosions look worse than they did before

so it comes with same filter when you where sunglasses in-game...

It's funny to see how they move the sun here and there, only to have enhanced visuals with more cool sunrays onscreen, oh, and the orangey skies.

It's like they just made particle effects denser and light rays stronger in most cases.

I'm just hoping it has the casino, lowriders, benny's car shop, and more of the current online exclusive content added to single player. I'm still not buying this game full price or when it comes out. We gotta stop supporting this game and show rockstar we're not tolerating the milking any longer.

I said it before and I will say it again, "Enhanced" means they likely just upscaled the resolution and maybe added some new filters. Ever enhanced game that has been ported to the new consoles have followed the same path. Expanded may include more to the story mode or a new area to explore or it could be a new mini story mode I am not sure.

So, more ambient oclusion, stronger post fx effect, abit less complex and increased ammount of particles, fixed shadow box arround player (probably), yellow license plates and abit different colorscheme is all I noticed.. (Most of theese actually depend on the sun position which does affect the comparison as mentioned)

I hope for Rockstar's sake that the reason they showed PS3 footage last year for the announcement and the delay is because they only recently started working on it, which could be the reason why the E&E so far is not much of an improvement. And that the final release on March should be much more better than shown yet.
