Hey guys, sorry for not having the gaming news today. I had to have something pre-recorded as I was spending time with my family since it's my dads birthday. I hope you understand :)
Title: GTA 5 on Xbox One!! (How to play Xboy 360 games on XB1) What I see: game is being played on the xbox 360 and displayed on the TELEVISION app on XBOX ONE... Thumbnail : 360 game almost inserted into an XBOX ONE. Video : 360 game disc inside the xbox 360. Stop being stupid with titles and thumbnails for views
This guy has totally no knowledge of today's technology ,while you can swap between hdmi1 and hdmi2 with your tv remote, you can also just wait for the game to load or grab a snack instead of necessary having a mini xbox screen in the top corner...
***** I tried apple, i think it is an overpriced piece of shit, i could get a pc for half of the price and that runs better :D but you can continue with your shit apple products :D
So basically, if you just sold your 360 to get a One and you still have your gta disk, then to play it on your xbox one you need to buy back your 360 you just spent on the one. And then when you do that magically you get to play gta on xbox with the exact same graphics and options. This video is pointless.
It depends on your setup, for someone like me, who only has one good tv for console use it's a lot easier to do this than swap cables around while holding my ridiculously heavy TV
Man, that layout was so nostalgic, I wish it still looked like that, the xbox one dashboard feels a bit too "Over optimized" now. The old Dashboard kind of still paid tribute to the 360, because it looked very similar, just more modern. Also, I remember this video from a long time ago, It's funny, clickbait existed back then. But champ, I hope you realize that your 360 is just connected to the xbox one, it's not like the game is running native on it, it's just displaying through it. Just like a TV. It's meant for a DVR.
That is really cool! Keeping both consoles powered up and wasting electricity and giving a catchy title to the video along with a misleading thumbnail to gain views and likes for advert money!
Lmao! Everyone is like...well hell, if u have an Xbox 360 console, then u would just play it from that. We wanted to know how to play the GAME on the Xbox one!
@@idkanymore4496 but someone who doesn’t have money could play gta 5 Xbox 360 in the one like call of duty ghost is compatible with the 360 edition even if already is in the Xbox one
this isnt what i expected from the thumbnail but its actually useful for me considering my tv only has one hdmi input i can just plug the 360 into the one, thanks champchong :)
Hey I found a way to play PS3 games on the PS4: You plug the HDMI cable of the PS3 into a different HDMI port of your tv and switch between inputs with your TV remote control -_-
love the channel but that pic was misleading, i actually thought you was gonna show a way of playing 360 games by using the disc in xbox one (i was stupid to think that would actually work), i already knew you could do what you was showing.......either way thank you for taking the time to show this video, i understand there will be people who didn't know how to use this feature. Happy Birthday to your Dad Champ, enjoy the time off
I love how at this time, ppl wanted gta 5 on the ps4 and xbox one. Now as we r moving onto the ps5 and xbox series x, we r literally getting gat 5 for those consoles as well
so your playing a game that has a 0.5 milisecond latentcy, because of the pass through and your also using twice the power, what a waste of time and money
This is such a great video. I have so many games on xbox 360 and xbox 360 kinnect. This is the perfect workaround to be able to use 360 and xbox one without having to change the HDMI port on your TV repeatedly. Thanks for creating this! @ChampChong
Cool trick if you want your bill to double. Also your room will heat up a bit more and it's basically as if you should just get rid of your xbox one and stick to 360.. It's sad letting go of all the 360 games but it's time to move forward people!
That's a deceptive title! You aren't actually using the Xbox One to play this; that's nothing more than HDMI switching. That would be like me saying my home theater receiver plays Xbox One games by that logic of HDMI switching. The degradation of signal of the X360 through the XB1 and the lag is ridiculous.
yea i only clicked on this because i was bored, i knew what itd be but it bothers me that he misleads people with the video title, however hopefuly the system used to streem one system thru the other will become more affective in time and become something that works better
OtakuHere Highly doubtful it will be in 6 years. The Xbox One would already be more than half-way through it's "lifespan" by then. Consoles typically have a span of 6-8 years before it's successor is released. Microsoft has already confirmed that the 360 will be discontinued in 2016. They will likely start shutting down online servers for 360 games after that. Some of them may stay up well past that, but most of them will probably go down by then.
Miss the og Xbox one home screen ,this video is just nostalgic we used to get excited over some gimmick like this and tell our Xbox to stop listening all the god damn time
Why is everyone getting mad over this? .-. gosh I think it's a pretty cool little thing for those who want an Xbox one but don't want to give up their 360 and besides some people's TVs only have one or two outputs (three if you are luck or 4 at the latest) and some people can't put a 360 on a different output that is either being taken up by a dvr or cable box or the xbox one. So put the 360 on the xbox one with it connect by the HDMI out put therefore your xbox one and 360 share the same output and you don't have to sacrifice another output for a system when something else could go there.....
or you could not be lazy and swap them out when needed...but hey, we all know we need more pointless features, how else would microsoft make money..(windows 8 anyone..?)
holland novak Because convenience is just bullshit, ain't it? Like, how dare they give you an alternative to switching out the cables all the time? Seriously, dude, is there really a stick so far up your ass that you have to bitch about the simplest things? How is this pointless? It's just for more convenience. It's not a major feature, but it's not like you're paying for the port itself. But of course, you have to be a bandwagoning Microsoft hater that will say everything they do sucks, just because they had shitty policies during E3, even though they've reversed all that. I bet if Sony did this with the PS4, you would commend them and make them out to be saints. And really, how is this getting Microsoft more money? It's not like they advertised this extensively and made it out to be the most important feature. And don't give me that lazy bullshit. To condemn a feature just because it makes trivial things less trivial is like condemning a person for holding the door open for you when it's cold out and your hands are full. And it's not like they're forcing you to do this to play your 360. Also, you seem to saying that a lot in the comments section "Just stop being lazy and swap the cables". Because it's really so bad to want a minor inconvenience gone. Because using the most convenient option is just so lazy! You people who preach "STOP BEING LAZY" at every thing that makes things a bit more convenient sound really retarded. This isn't about laziness, it's about CONVENIENCE. Say it with me now: CONVENIENCE. Do you not understand what that means? Like, seriously, what's wrong with people wanting to sit in their chair/couch comfortably, and not want that comfort interrupted just so they can yank a cable out of their Xbox ONE, then shove it into their 360, just to play a 360 game? You might as well call people lazy for using the Y button to close their disc tray. Or pressing X instead of hitting the "Sign In" option. Because you seem like the kind of person that will bitch about every little thing, even if it is a positive thing.
i’m pretty sure whoever is looking up this video doesn’t actually have a 360, and that’s why they want to know how to play a 360 game on an one console. this is _so_ helpful!!1!!!! if you have a 360, just use the freakin 360?!!
Why doesn't already know about this. The Xbox One HDMI in can be used for anything that uses HDMI, the game is not being run on the Xbox One hardware as implied in the title of the video.
I switched from playstation to xbox last year and it's the best decision I've made! Better online! I'm in the preview program and I can stream games onto my windows 10 laptop. I love the controllers charge n play battery power.. lasts for a week longer than PS4s. Friendlier people online which is a total bonus and a shock! Looking forward to Gears Of War remake and GearsOfWar4, backwards compatibility... nothing would make me go back to Sony's system.
this is sick! i dont have a xbox one yet, but when i get one i will do this! i am gonna play my xbox 1 wirelessly on my laptop AND my 360, thanks champ
Laurent Baril the title makes you think you will be able to play GTA 5 on the xbox one, while you are actually playing it on the xbox 360 and only sending the video stream through the xbox one. So for people like me who don't own an xbox 360 the video is completely useless. And people who do own the 360 are still stuck with 2 controllers.
This is not at all playing 360 games on your Xbox one. Like you could literally hook up your Xbox 360 to your tv and have the EXACT same results, only it would look better
this video is a lie, how is this playing GTA5 on Xbox One? It's playing GTA5 on Xbox 360 through Xbox One and this can be done with anything that outputs through HDMI. I can output my PC through an Xbox One that still doesn't mean that I play PC games on Xbox One
this isn't playing gta v on the xbox one. it is playing it on the 360 and the video output being input into the xbox one, and then output to the tv from the xbox one. very misleading video.
yeah you're right about that, but it is pretty cool how he clicks tv and it comes up with it but essiently you're right it is not playing GTA V on the xbox one
not as cool as having your actual tv set top box on tv and then xbox 360 on a seperate hdmi output. all the tv feature on xbox one really does is stream a hdmi device which is input into it (and of course, the tv features which come with xbox live like netflix and so on). The point of the tv feature in the first place was the convenience of not having to switch cables, this completely defeats the object. might aswell just buy a ps4 if you wanna play last gen games on the one system and have tv on a seperate output, since playstation now and ps1>ps2 emulator is coming to ps4.
Absolutly right!!! Whereas on the PS4 you actually play PS3 games on the PS4...huh....oh well at least you also play PS3 games through the PS4, only its a lot better....huh? Oh yeah you can't do either on the PS4.
h2dude69 And you seem to have a very small vocabulary for retorts. Usually and indication of a small brain....or penis. But then isn't that the same for PSFanboys?
well he showed us it working and setting it up so how is it misleading???? he even showed us him putting the leads in the 2 consoles sorry but i don't think its misleading
Alright I suppose if I wanted to play a Mario game on the Xbox One I just hook a Wii U up to the Xbox One? :P But if you really think about it your not really running it on the Xbox One. It's just passing the signal through. Just like how having my Nintendo 64 hooked up to my VCR doesn't mean I'm "playing it on my VCR" lolz. This works until you are one of those gamers who doesn't own a Xbox 360...
Agreed. I see no benefit in risking burning up either system doing this right now. However, I did think of one interesting idea if this idea is improved on somehow: using the XboxOne DVR' feature to record footage from other games on say, N64, patched 7 streaming to the Xbox One like the 360 is doing here. In theory would that record the system which is streaming to the Xbox One, in that case the N64 and its game? I could see that being useful for some things.
Nick L. Yea would be a good idea but I don't think the xbox one has rca input/outputs only hdmi so I don't think that could happen with the n64 or any system that doesn't support hdmi output.
I tried this out and it's pretty lame. There's significant lag when playing the 360 through the One. It's not even worth it with the amount of lag that's added to playing game. I thought this was more going to be actually playing 360 games on the One. Not "through" the One.
No offense... but if you actually thought playing 360 games on an XBOX One was real then you're the only one who is lame. Obviously it would be through the TV input... people have been blabbering about "you can play PS4 through your XBOX One" for months now. This is a horrible idea even if the lag is improved because you'll have to turn on and/or keep your XBOX One powered on just to play the other console. Who wants to turn on their XBOX one to play their PS4? Waste of time... just switch inputs. With my Sony TV it'll automatically switch to the PS4 input when I press the PS button on the PS4 controller or simply turn the console on. It's awesome. The whole multi-window XBOX one thing can be done without it by using your TV's Picture-In-Picture or Picture & Picture. With that you can view two inputs at the same time on most TVs. It'll cut the sound on one input of your choice as well so it's actually playable and doesn't mix the sound like the XBOX One does.
I think a lot of people are missing the potential with this style of design. I'm not saying that the design in the Xbox One is perfect, but it could be the foundation for the next console to allow multi-screen capabilities with one screen. Like with the possibility of plugging in a computer to the Xbox One with an HDMI cable and having both systems running for various things, like having two people but one TV and neither really wants to give up the whole thing. Remember, this function could be improved for better graphics from the second system, and therefor you might be able to plug in maybe a PS4 to the Xbox One and have maybe a sibling or parent able to play on the PS4 while you are on the Xbox. Or maybe your parents want to watch a movie, split the screen when they make the split screens equal size! Plug in some headsets/ earbuds to only hear your sounds, and that way nobody has to be left out because of there being only one screen. The potential is high for this entertainment setup, but it needs to have been done in a slightly different way for it to be even better. They pushed this idea of being able to watch TV on the system heavily when it was announced, let's see that take a step up and be able to handle great graphics from a computer/console and split the screen equally for both systems to run at once!
What you r talking about would be cool. The reason that they didn't do it so you could have a 50/50 split is that would cause a lot of stress on the system, the tech isn't there to support it yet.
No, if anything the Wii U has a much better concept by broadcasting media to a tablet. Also, no one wants to watch Schindler's List side by side with Lego Batman. If it was 1970 and there was only 1 screen in every household then your idea would make sense. Today, no *ONE* device has a monopoly on a household's attention.
Richard Snow You are missing the fact that not every household has multiple TVs. I know plenty of families that have a big TV in one central room and they all use it. There are many families out there that don't fit your idea that the modern household has a TV for every room of the house. Another thing is that this is not just capable to share the screen with two different people that want to use the screen for two different things. This could be for the person that wants to watch TV or youtube while playing a game and doesn't want to get a second TV or try using their smartphone to watch a movie.
Some people don't understand the meaning you can also do. Look if you have it connected You can switch from both xbox's by just going to the tv app and after your down with the 360 for awhile just press home and play the xbox one game. But yes it does waste alot of energy witch sucks...ALOT.
In the comments you see so many Playstation fanboys ranting on how bad the xbox is, yet i rarely see xbox players ranting on how bad the playstation is. It shows that in some ways, xbox players are more mature. But thats just my opinion. Im a pc gamer. PS, this isn't a video on how to play xbox 360 games on the xbox one, its a video on how to display the 360, onto the one.
.................................................................................................................................................................................... just buy gta 5 on xb1
Sooooooooooo this is essentially just the same as having your consoles plugged in to the tv. Not really that cool man because I have a tv remote and that does the same thing.
some monitors have only 1 hdmi port. mine has ywo but one is being used for the ps3 and the other by my xbox 360 so when i get the xbox one this is something ill have to do.
DevinVon You can feel it when your actually playing the game, it has a slight input lag but when your watching it seems like it runs fine but its nothing too big if your just playing games on single player but once you play multiplayer, that's when it becomes sort of a problem.
0:46 - You still have to put the 360 game in the 360 disk drive... It does not go into the Xbox One. He basically sends a signal through his 360 to his X1 and from the X1 to the TV. This is stupid and just connecting the 360 to the TV directly produces the same effect and is less cumbersome. The X1 isn't even needed to play a 360 game. It cannot play a 360 game.. The rest of this video has become invalid due to the misleading title.. And I just saved you 7 mins of your life without switching to GEICO. Your welcome.
That doesnt make any sense. If I have to use a 360 whats the point. I have 2 HDMI entrences in my tv so it's easier to switch TV sources having both consoles connected to the TV. Seriously champchong this video is a failure of tutorial
Well Ps2 servers were shut down recently and the DS servers and everything else from that time and before then has been, so it seems like the 360's life span is ending relatively soon. Not saying that I appreciate it though.
