Fun fact: The headlight shadows are a feature on PC. It's literally a repackaged PC port to PS5.

Which explains why tree trunks don't exist in that one part. There's a type of thing in ESO on the PS5 version where reflections look exactly like ray tracing and even has accurate reflections. But it's not raytracing. Shadows are accurate for sure as I've noticed an improvement to overall lighting with Fidelity Mode. However, there is some raytracing on some reflections such as vehicles. Because when you put Raytracing at full potential via Fidelity, the reflection image is sharper as I've notice with vehicles with large flat surfaces. Performance RT still has these reflections but they're more blurry which I prefer to hide some of the flaws such as no cars getting reflected. No matter how you look at it, it seems PS5 exclusives will continue to remain the closest to full raytracing for a long time on the system.

it uses higher res cube maps across the board on wet surfaces for rain and glass. Don't get why anyone thinks its RT at all, when it doesn't accurately portray what's going on past just the buildings and lights... I think these people really need to do research before putting vids out on graphic updates to a game. Literally misleading people with what's actually upgraded.

Are you talking about gta v or in general because in games like spiderman miles morales the ps5 uses Ray tracing for reflections and not only shadows. You can see the entire city being accurately reflected in the windows of buildings for example.

@@TheGravityShifter No RT on cars, puddles or any reflective surface at all. Its all cube maps and its very easy to tell that if you know what to look for. It only reflects the environment and nothing else which is exactly what cube maps are good at. Racing games have done this for years upon years now as it can produce decent results at first glance, however go look at the car and notice it doesn't reflect itself at all in GTA 5 nor what I previously said, no side mirrors are reflected or any other parts that can be self reflected because it isn't using any form of RT.

It's not on PS5 either. I'm not sure what RT mode actually does but it clearly doesn't use ray tracing so they're either lying or they haven't implemented ray tracing yet.

They missed out huge on not giving none online players those old side jobs like cops, first responders etc. This map, city and all the surroundings towns where perfect for these side jobs. GTA 4 was amazing not only because the extra places to go into but the being a cop with a scanner, updates on where to find the bad guys in areas etc made it extra fun and realistic.

@@TheTruth-13 You’ve never seen a car burn down then if you think that’s too thick of smoke, car fires produce thick black smoke that you can see for a long distance. It also rises a pretty good height before really thinning out

Pc is much better but this need ultra high end specs with this it acctually can beat the PS5 GTA not only of the default Next-gen graphics you can mod the game unlike in console you cant mod a game

Too bad that's not how car windows work. They're made to *not* shatter. That's kind of the point. Chunks of glass flying off and landing on stuff would get a car recalled. If they just added dynamic bullet holes, it would've been infinitely better.

The effect will probably work better if you're not watching it up close, but windows are broken during general gameplay.

A g4560 paired with a GTX 1050 or even 750ti can easily Handle the Game even at Very High Settings. I believe Ultra is also possible on Gtx 1050.

Hmm doubt it, unless PC got that update too. That would be a good upgrade though, but keep in mind that npc's in GTA 5 have more weight. Id rather prefer RDR2's physics.

Wow to bad they didn't add a freaking cop mode like all the past GTA games starting since the third instalment to San Andreas/Vice City up until GTA 4 Liberty City you could always play as a cop, they even gave the player's a radio scanner, areas where crime rate was high, drug dealings, gang activities etc. Now they gave one of the biggest maps with a big ass city and still no mode to play as a cop.

@@cranexdragon1046 Old-gen consoles suffered heavily due to poor CPU capabilities, especially in GTA Online, where gameplay at 20 FPS and below was common. A 60 FPS cap would've done nothing.

But only in high settings, if you would keep it on medium, even the street lights wouldn't cast any shadows. While in gta 5, ps4 version, only the headlights of cars didn't cast any shadows. Pc version of gta 5, had better shadows casted by headlights of cars

Man,the reality is, in GTA 4, headlights don't cast shadows :) Actually in every car, there comes a light in the middle of the car's trunk to cast shadows... & that light doesn't have any material or object so looks like Headlights are casting shadows. That's why you only get the shadow of one light in GTA 4 instead of two Headlights... But in GTA 5 PC version, Both Headlights have their own shadows which looks enhanced!

If you install dxvk into gta 4, you can run max settings and get amazing framerates as well. It's almost like a new game with dxvk

I have both versions, and if you get a ps5 i WOULD recommend buying the ps5 version. The person who made this video didn’t mention about the difference in input lag. On the ps4 version it takes a little while for the game to register your input but on ps5 its almost instantly.

As games become bigger in scope and details, the more time they need in the oven. Red Dead Redemption 2 took EIGHT YEARS to develop, even with heavy crunch cycles and overworked employees, even though they used all of Rockstar North's recourses and talent.

I think the effects on GTAVI are the same of GTAV for PS5... The new effects and graphics improvements are all in this new version so Rockstar can't put others. But if he change the engine...well maybe can make some improvements. Hey it's the magic Rockstar, all can happend.
