GTA 5 : RTX 4090 24GB ( 4K Maximum Settings ) 

Best thing about Rockstar's open world is you hardly encounter any bug. It's so smooth and stable..

This game still holds up pretty well for being 10 years old. I hope Rockstar really pushes cutting edge graphics in gta 6 so it'll stay looking good after another 10 years after release.

This game ran awesome on my GTX 770. I was so happy with Rockstar. It was only 1080p, but still the settings were fairly high and it ran buttery smooth.

Imagine if you had the Natural Vision evolved mod reshade on top of the 4090. Makes the game look almost cyberpunk good.

Crazy thing about gta 5 is that it runs so well on old Hardware but doesn't impress on new and dramatically more improved hardware

Amazing how detailed this company makes their game they literally shame every other gaming developer

keep in mind that having msaa turned off can usually save alot of fps aswell

I'm on PC now and I chose the exact same settings as you and the VRAM usage only goes up to 5.2GB...and it still looks like the PS3 version I played many many years ago.

can somebody help me... like my gta 5 is fully optimized and i have a gtx 1650 but the problem is it lags heavily... and yes when i had the free pirated version of gta 5 from fitgirl it ran so smooth like bro i modded the game heavily but it never got glitched or lagged but now even the raw game without any mods lags like hell after i bought the game from epic games.... what's the resn ?

Disclaimer to everyone, if this man had a better cpu for his RTX 4090 like an i9 13900k then you would be seeing over 140fps in this game at 4k ultra settings

At these settings with RTX 4090, I didn't expect GTA V to perform anymore than 90 fps. It still delivered better than my expectation. I can't fathom just how much the developer in rockstar had to envision future proofing to make this game worth it but they did it. There are some flaws in it like it the optimization is not so great and the people who play it on 4GB graphics, somehow ends up getting better performance than those who does with 12GB or more (at the same settings). It could be because of RTX aspect but it still does a damn good job.

good thing about gta 5 is that it can run really good on a old pc but can also make the best pc only get 60 fps

on a $50 GTX750TI the game looks almost the same, and if you install the Naturalvision remaster mod, it's even better!

test in GTA online at full session (it was 30 people at a time) then you have the highest load

Some people might not understand what max settings actually means so imma explain, max settings isn’t just ultra, it also has FXAA on and MSAA on 8X which decreases ur FPS ALOT and also means max settings means advanced settings on which is also very demanding, if it was just ultra the 4090 would be getting 240FPS on 4K, also NVDIA TXAA is on

not everyone knows and realizes that gta v maxed out msaa 4x or 8x really burdens your system the real test is all maxed out and go to the mountains with lots of vegetation then your gpu will cry

I have the 4090 which supports DSLL but GTA 5 does not. Many other games I play don’t. Should of sticked with the 30 series. It supports ray tracing.

I would say the 12600k is a bottleneck here even if its 4k! You would need atleast a 12700k or a 13600k to probably not bottleneck that beast even at 4k🙂

My rig is i9 13900K and RTX4090. I maxed the setting and run it on 1080p. my FPS is 20-30FPS. What is happening? The GPU is already on 100% utilisation.

I don't know how your CPU is so low in usage. Your system is encountering a bottleneck. That i5-12600k and 4090 don't play so well... Have you got single or dual channel RAM?

friend if you do the performance tests in gta v story mode you are not doing anything, the test to do it in grav online there you really know the performance of cpu and gpu, due to the scenario and the number of players
