Fun fact: you can actually derail the train in gta V in the mission where Trevor chases the train on a bike and drives it. Just keep accelerating the train remaining as Trevor and it would derail.

There is a legit way to stop the train in gta v,during the random event "abandoned vehicle 2",the one where you get stunned and then put on the railway.When you are on the railway,if you are fast enough to shoot 3 Rpg shots to the head of the train it will stops.It 100% works,i discovered this glitch during a speedrun
