A few people are confused about this "delay" so in case you didn't watch the video, I'll repeat it here to clarify. Take-Two just publicly confirmed that they have moved the release window from FY25 (before March 2025) back to Fall 2025. I showed this in the video. That is an internal delay. Yes, Rockstar did just say 2025 to cover all of their bases in case this happened, which is smart. However, the publisher publicly confirmed that they were previously planning on releasing in Q1 of 2025. Therefore, this is a minor delay. Hope that clears it up, cheers.
@@UnlesschangesaremadeI’m sorry but dang near 2 billion dollars were set aside for this game, and on top of that they’ve had a whole decade + 2 years. There’s simply no excuse. The game is most likely completely finished in terms of base coding, animation, voice acting, all that jazz. Bug fixes, dlc content, replacing placeholders, adding small details is what they’re doing now. No excuses.
@@xreznr163 they're getting over twice the time that gta 5 got for development. They just cashed in on shark cards that past 11 years and didn't see the need to give us a new game. Just lame online add ons. Don't defend their greed.
After the Cyberpunk Disaster, as far as I'm concerned, take your time Hell, if they need 3 more years done They need to make this game, and they need to do it right No cutting corners
@@kurtpunchesthings2411cyberpunk was different. They ran out of money and had to release an unfinished game. Rockstar are still making shitloads of money from gta5 and the only reason they’re taking their time is because they have the luxury to as they’re financially satisfied.
@@jamandcracks8875 well they relesed rdr2 in 2016, right after they must have started working on ideas for gta 6, from 2020 to 2022 covid slowed down or possibly reset development on the game
They only said gta 6 was coming out to pull more money from customers & quickly deposit it into investors bank accounts. This was done to distract the investors who are starting to realise that gta 6 isn't real & are thinking about pulling their money. It's a huge fraudulent pyramid scheme unfortunately. Gta was a great & unique franchise. Shame they had to go & ruin it.
I don’t get why anybody is surprised. Rockstar have literally done this EXACT manoeuvre for every game they’ve released in the past 14 or so years. Announce it to come out in March-May of a certain year, then delay it to August-October of that same year.
Bro after all the games having buggy launches I encourage delays, no rush We dont want a game to be garbage on launch day Like bro Ac unity was buggy Gta trilogy was buggy Cyberpunk was buggy Payday 3 was buggy Hell even gta 5 online servers were buggy
Why you using Jesus name in vain ? Like what’s your purpose . Do you believe in Jesus since you using his name as a worldly catch phrase ? Are you saved by Jesus Christ ?
@Thiswrldwillperish hush up, the world ain’t going to end and people can choose to live how they want as long as it doesn’t hurt others. You don’t need to force others to conform to your ideals, so just leave it.

keep in mind some of the development probably went towards gta online and then they moved onto gta 6 (or it’s just development hell stuff that we don’t know about) edit: looolllll rdr2 just went over my mind. rdr2 was by far rockstars biggest project (won the guinness world record for the biggest cast in a video game too!) so their studio is probably on double time for releasing gta 6 on time, with or without delays..

Good. Every delay is a win as long as you can be patient. Every delay is publisher trying to rush the game out before its ready, losing an argument. Just look at cyberpunk, that needed a minimum of 2 more years development lol.
rockstar should have never never never never never claim out they are working on gta six ...they should have done it and announce a trailer 2 months before release when everything's been done
@@michaelpierce826 but they bragged too much and people are very very curious now hacking then leaks happens which kind of delays everything some stuff won't be available..
Well they hadn't said a thing about it but their expected revenue for the end of fiscal year 2024 was estimated at like $8 billion and that was a huge flag that they were expecting GTA6 to release by the end of March 2025 at that point. There is NO way they would be able to ever keep this a secret. Too many hackers, leakers, or other people paying close attention on progress of the game.
Anyone remember me? Looks like I was right now wasn’t I? I said explicitly that the game HAS TO COME OUT in 2025. If there is a delay, it’s pushing the limits of what is acceptable and possible. If the game does not come out in 2025, we’re looking at 2028 at the max. And 2026 at the earliest. I knew this would happen. Let’s just hope that this extra year tacked on will prove to be worth it …
@@D-M-J The longer it takes for development, the less 'new' the technology will be because it will have been in development for so long. By the time the game is released, it will not have been designed using the latest software technology, and it won't be optimized to run on the latest hardware.
Literally every 3D universe GTA base game, except GTAIV release in the 4th quarter of the year between September and October. When I first heard the earnings calls suggesting potentially early 2025, I was hopeful, but I knew it wouldn't get released till around Sept/Oct 2025, I've come to expect that as their release date for GTA titles. So, this doesn't surprise me. It may even get delayed till early 2026 but you know what, it is what it is... I just hope nothing happens to me between now and then.
If your gonna release the biggest game of all time, honestly it makes more financial sense to do it approaching the Christmas holidays, rather that earlier in the year. It's gonna sell millions of copies whenever it drops, but I think there is more potential around the holidays.
I am SO stocked about this game, for me they can take as much time as they want. I just want a good product, thx ttg for making my night (its 11pm in belgium) much love from 🇧🇪
@@rwwilson21 We might even forget about it after a while until they release more media on it. Every game I have looked forward to the last few years came up real fast.
@@TheCreateOutdoors Yeah, all I care about is if it's completely finished, with no bugs, no choppiness, polished, etc. I mean, we've waited 12 years for this game. In comparison to that timeframe, a year and a half is nothing.

I highly don’t that cause I mean well just look how far away that is and so well again so and that gives them so much more time again to delay it again even further
Nope, this is an internal delay as I explained in this video. They literally just publicly confirmed that they have moved the release window from FY25 (before March 2025) back to Fall 2025. I showed this in the video. That is a delay. That is a fact. There is nothing clickbait about it.
Originally it was estimated to come before the end of March 2025 based on projected earnings for end of FY24 of around $8 billion. They never officially said when though until this.
This is EXACTLY when I thought it would release, I felt early 2025 was a little too early, especially given the rampaging effects COVID has had on not just the video-game industry, but almost all other industries in recent years. Plus, Rockstar has only just brought all those employees back into the offices in an attempt to ramp up production, whether or not it will actually do so is yet to be seen, those employees were doing great from home from what we’ve heard. It makes sense that Rockstar want to release it in that September and October range again, right before Call of Duty and Battlefield, as well as all the other franchises that can even dream of just barely distracting gamers from the big boy that is GTA. There’s always so little releasing in those months of the year they’ll have practically absolutely no competition, just the way they like it.
CLICKBAIT TITLE, IT WAS NEVER DELAYED, JUST SPECIFIED THE RANGE OF THE YEAR. FIRST TRAILER HAD "COMING 2025" AND NOW ITS MORE SPECIFIED "FALL OF 2025", SO ITS STILL COMING 2025. NO DELAYS, CHANGE YOUR TITLE

@@TGG_ Internal delay is not a production delay, as i said in my comment ,its still coming out as planned. 2025. If im doing work and im expecting to finish early, i dont immidietly say "im going to finish early" before fully finishing my job as there can be unexpected delays. So even if i am initially "ahead" of schedule, i finish up on required time because of unexpected delays. Same applies here. GTA6 could have been released early, but they got some internal delays so they specified Fall 2025. Its still within what we should have expected. Both January 2025 and December 2025 are still 2025. If they said Q1 2025 in the first trailer, then i would have not posted this comment. But they didnt
Take-Two publicly just confirmed that they moved the release window back. I understand what you're saying, but I don't think it's misleading to call this a delay. I mentioned several times that this is an internal delay. No one is getting mislead. I'm sure you knew what I meant, yet you wanted to comment "clickbait" because it's a popular thing to do with GTA 6. The Thumbnail literally says Fall 2025. No one is getting clickbaited here.
Its understandable. If they mess it up with this historical game its going to be a historical fail wich can ruin rockstar FOREVER so they are scared to realese it
Agreed. If they need to take a longer delay then TAKE IT. It's been such a common theme nowadays that game developers will release a title way before it's ready to be released. What I love seeing is that Rockstar wants to seek perfection with this, with all the delays. So if it takes another year then that's fine.
because it comes out in fall 2025 it should give them enough time to go through the entire game to sort out any bugs and glitches before release, because we remember what happened last time with the GTA trilogy...
as much as we want GTA 6 as soon as possible i’m sure we can all agree that we’d rather have a good delayed release than an on time bad release. i truly hope rockstar takes as much time as they need to make this game live up to the hype.
It was always unrealistic for it to release in April of 2025. Rockstar always announced their games to year prior before release anyway. Thinking anything else was just wishful thinking
Not even 1 bit surprised I have always maintained that this game was gonna release in that bracket between Sept and Nov. Even the Rockstar title release history suggests it, the majority of their titles released towards the end of the year
I had a suspicion that it'd be delayed. But I was holding out hope that'll come out by early 2025. Good to know that it didn't get delayed to Early 2026.
Gotta love lazy devs procrastinating on their deadlines. Guaranteed they are going to act like entitled victims when they have to actually make up for their procrastination and say stupid shit like "crunch culture is so toxic" like it somehow isn't their fault. No wonder Dan left, he wanted to run a studio not a daycare.
You might be the bearer of bad news, but I don't think it's unexpected news. And (like always) you do so quickly and factually. So I guess I still kind of enjoyed the video.
I was sure it would be delayed, I mean these huge games from rockstar would be suspicious if they didn't have a delay like past games which aren't as good as new games (i mean in graphics, realism, etc)
I was expecting them to announce a spring 2025 release date and then delaying it to September like they did with gta 5 I guess they saved the headache for themselves
If GTA 6 follows a similar trajectory, and the rumoured Q1 2025 release holds true, fans might be able to secure their pre-orders in September or October 2024.Apr 23, 2024
