GTA III in Unreal Engine 5 | What the Definitive Edition version should have been!
Recreation of Liberty City From GTA III in Unreal Engine 5 Exclusively by TeaserPlay, I used Lumen for rendering and my point in making this video was to show how powerful Unreal Engine 5 is for making sandbox games and what the remaster version of GTA 3 should look like

Liberty City in GTA 3 had a look, a vibe and was a character itself. Failing to recreate that vibe is like failing to include Claude, and the game could just as well be any other open world action game.

In my memory the game actually looks like that... Or it definitely felt like in this video. Amazing in the early 2000s. Never had that wow factor again. Don't know what it was... A mix of graphics, story, atmosphere and a certain spirit. Awesome video btw! With the original music and voice lines! Wonder how other oldies could look in UE5

This is what the definitive edition should have looked like for all games. More buildings should have been able to be entered and more activities. Also swimming in GTA3 and Vice city.

Bulk of the story set in Vice City in the 70s, a few missions in 80s Liberty City, epilogue set in modern Vice City with the option to fly to modern Liberty City. That's my hope.

@@scottmartin7717 I don't think they meant it as it should be set in literal NY, they're just referring to it as the city that Liberty City is obviously based on/a parody of. And I agree with them too. I've had my fill of palm trees, beaches, and nearly constant sunshine for the last decade with Los Santos; I wanna go back to Liberty and see what Rockstar can really do with it on the new consoles. Completely re-do it and make it bigger and more authentic to NY itself but without sacrificing their view of modern LC being like '70s NY or their satirical take on American culture as a whole.

I want a southern but modern gta. Driving through the woods and through the open fields, but also having small separate cities all over instead of one giant city like gta 5. I live in Tennessee and seeing Knoxville in gta would be so cool to me

Can rockstar games please add skip ⏭️ section for gta the trilogy the definitive edition because radio and weapon wheel played a huge role in gta 5 well skip ⏭️ section also played a huge role in gta 5 because when when example Trevor or Michael wasted aka die or failed during a mission it said skip ⏭️mission for x a for reply and b for cancel and when I hit x it said do you want to skip ⏭️ section and a button os yes while b button is no and I hit yes 👍 🙌 👏🏻 and it made my life easier can you please add it in gta 4 remake?

I'm pretty sure Rockstar already knows these concept remakes. The problem is that it takes time and money. That's why Rockstar didn't remastered the trilogy, but gave the contract to another studio. We will see Rockstar at full display with their next GTA (6). I've read that the engine behind GTA 6 is ahead of its time. We'll see ! Take care 😉

They could've made a remake way better than this, if they made a remake, but they didn't. They made a REMASTER, which is just slight tweaks in performance and audio, which is exactly what they did. Not to mention, Rockstar hired an entirely different company to do the remaster, they didn't do it themselves, they're focusing on things like GTA VI, they REMASTERED this trilogy because it was quick and easy with barely any resources used, in order to make extra money for future game development and to keep their non-stop asking fans at bay while they try to use all of their resources on finishing Gta 6

It takes years to make 1 game, and they are working on multiple games at a time. There last major release was just a couple years ago, give them time to make the content you want. Or would you prefer they go the way of Ubisoft or ea and pump out the same crap every yr?

For all those dissing Rockstar for not making the game as good as this, must know what all goes in the process of making a game. This is mostly graphics with no missions or cutscenes. Try doing gamedev and you'll know how hard it actually is. Edit: Also, Rockstar should hire this dude.

People wanted these remasters to look this good. In the real world something 1/4 this good would’ve succeeded. The Trilogy remaster failed at character models, car models, and map environments. They wanted to keep a cartoony feel for these games. But they could’ve done so much more.

I actually just finally finished the story of GTA 3 with the definitive edition (of course played it back in the day) but as much as I love 3, VC & SA, I'm realizing most of the love I have for them is only nostalgia. The story didn't feel like a story, the missions were tedious and ridiculous. VC has a slightly better story, as does SA - though SA has plenty of plot holes and stupid points but 🤷‍♂️ love the games nonetheless & would have loved for them to look as good as it does in this video. But Rockstar played us all for the suckers we are.
