Comparison video between the original teaser trailer for Grand Theft Auto V and the one I created using the Rockstar Editor. Full resolution version of my trailer can be found here: • GTA V Teaser Trailer -...
Which is what is worrying for GTA 6. If we draw parallel to this Trailer situation with GTA V, then how much of GTA 6's first trailer will even come to be?... Being likely the biggest selling videogame to date as of release sales, they really do not have to worry about callouts of false Marketing. @Name-tn3md
Makes you wonder how much of GTA VI's trailer is really gonna look like the final product, honestly I like the visuals in the GTA V trailer better, you can see the chem trails on the jet too.
well this was most likely using the lighting from the beta build since that trailer was released 2 years before the original. If you look up beta screenshots for GTA 5 you will notice more foliage and different variations with trees however they had to remove it across all the console due to the 360 and PS3 getting this game before next gen which was just 2 months away from GTA 5's realease. If they just keep it next gen then it should look like the trailer or better
It's usually the the NPCs motion. In the trailers the NPC motion is realistic, in other words scripted. And the density of NPCs are usually higher in trailers. The same can be seen in RDR 2 but on a smaller scale. Lastly, the world of trailers are always better in that sense due to marketable presentation. So yea i highly believe GTA 6 will be the same. It will be simply lesser scripted NPCs in the open world with lesser density.
What stands out more to me than the graphical differences is the lack of animations in the final game. The women reacting to the joggers going by, the guy waving his hand at the drug dealer, the hikers holding hands, the guy hammering the sign into the ground, the drunk being thrown out the club. None of these are present in the final game.
@DoodlingHitman I wouldn't worry because all of these things are present in RDR2 and the final release was superior to the trailers from that game... I think that GTA V would have kept these animations if it weren't held back by the console limitations of the PS3 and 360 on its original release. Remember that the GTA V that we play now is just remastered and polished versions of a PS3 build. GTA VI will be built for PS5, so the difference will be stark.
Lot's of stuff got downgraded/removed because it had to run on 360/PS3. RDR2 is a good indicator of things to come, Rockstar is one of the few companies i've been following since the 2000s that can still put their money where their mouth is.
I think Rockstar did good. They made the game look good but didn't set the graphics in the trailer to a level they knew they wouldn't achieve and then downgrade it without letting the consumer know. Looking at you Ubisoft.
@@yahu5988 the only major difference is the lighting and the framing of the shots. Imo the character models look far better in the actual game than the trailer.
@@akaSashK okay but what with all that is missing All the details is missing like the hot air wiggling at the pier Also the clouds and colors and contrast look so good in the teaser And the lighting makes it look so beautiful I miss this so much When i first got the game i was just shocked This was very close to me because i had high hopes Also even all the objects are missing and plants like on the hills all the bushes and the cars dont make big dust clouds when they drive and the people move so realistically in the trailer and so on and so on
@@yahu5988 I think the lighting in the trailer is so good because they changed the position of the sun that would never be possible in game. And the animations of the NPCs seem like they were just to make the trailer look more real. The main difference between this and the actual game is the lack of trees and stuff.
They just places hundrets of assets and spawn points for peds and give them special motion for the trailer, adding extra paths for plane, heli and ships. I don't think this is called fake... it's more heavy scripted for the trailer remember this promo screenshot of GTA V ? static.wikia.nocookie.net/gtawiki/images/8/87/Dodo-GTAV.jpg/revision/latest/scale-to-width-down/1000?cb=20130502145537 PS3 did have assets on the beach yes but the draw limit of props were limited-. If you fly this high on PS3 you didn't see so much props on the beach
@@atomcat6663 where can I find the person putting a for sale sign? Girls checking out guys, couples walking in the beach with a dog, and hikers taking a group selfie. That beach scene will not have that many npcs with animation.
@@atomcat6663He's already correct. They put a lot of custom animations for the trailers (to give an impression of the dynamic, "living and breathing" world) that aren't actually used in the game. This first GTA V trailer is the proof. I.e., they lie, even if not as much as the others.
shadows and lighting is still better in trailer. also better draw distances. I assume that GTA 6 trailer vs gameplay will end up in a similar way. Because in GTA 6 trailer game had crazy long draw distances. Showing small detail like lighting and water effects over 500 meters is too much. Evet PS5 cant run it fully. But game will look close, just not same.
I wouldn't worry because all of these things are present in RDR2 and the final release was superior to the trailers from that game... The original trailer actually looked better. I honestly thought it would play like TBOGT because that game showcased what R* could implement into new GTA games. I was totally wrong on that one
@@Varodunham92 I think the PS3 and 360 held GTA V back from its complete potential. Look at RDR2. It was built for PS4 and The final game was better than the trailers, and you can see animations much like this trailer in that game from NPC's. GTA VI will be built for the peak performance of current gen, so expect the final game to be better than the trailer.
@Varodunham92 The game was still built for PS3/360 though, bro. Updates or not, it's a remaster. It's why RDR2 on the PS4 still outshines GTA V PS5 for this reason.
Synthesis of both would be almost perfect So the high contrast would have been mixed with the more realistic smoothing effects of the pc version and the more detailed textures of pc are great too However; Trailer has entirely different lighting effects and temperature Also bushes are lacking in the game version and objects are missing Rockstar probably just rendered the trailer on workstations but still it could have been released like that the ps3 is certainly able to handle this just look at uncharted 3
Uncharted 3 is linear. We couldn't ask for more on GTA given that it looks like that on a hardware with 500mb of RAM, and even the way it was the framerate was all over the place
I knew that something was off when the game released. The lighting in the initial trailer looked way better than the final game and it had a more LA feel. I wish they kept the original lighting because it looked way better.
Great recreation but you got the wrong cars for few of the shots. Like it should be 9F after Ace liquor shot and cop cars should be the older type for closest match(since trailer uses gta iv variants, but there is second generation of these exact cop/taxi cars in 5)
The trailer looks more cinematic, but the finished game is clearly better. The textures, lighting, effects and so much more is an upgrade, except foliage
@@billybobsac4421What do you mean downgraded glass physics? GTA IV didn’t have any glass physics besides windows breaking with one shot, while V’s is actually dynamic. You made a mistake right?
I know i'm 8 years late but police dogs would make the game much harder, the human police is already enough hard to fight... Specially when Noose guys have rapid fire. We will see if that's a thing in gta 6.
For context, the PS5 is 30 times more powerful than the PS3. Since GTA V was released in 2013, the game was optimized for the PS3 with a lot of content removed. While it might not be exactly like the trailer, overall, you can get an idea of what it will look like.
00:43 nunca podré superar las tan malas texturas del follaje de esa área del juego, ni si quiera en las versiones "Next gen" pudieron retocar esa área, se ve horrible desencaja con todo el entorno.
wackytactics sigh.. the original trailer for the game was obviously rendered on PC, but I'm talking about the left one. You can clearly tell that grass quality is set to low and textures are only at high. if the graphics were maxed out, many of the scenes would look much more like the trailer.
@@Peterbuilt200 your reason just on one thing the effects of light and contrast that's all after the version of the disgusting trailer blurry and empty and there is no texture yet since the gold of this first announcement border the game was simply not finished
@@brahimabaradji1402what do you mean empty? look how the graphics look in trailer of gta 5 have bit downgrade in final game even the lighting better than final 0:20
@@brahimabaradji1402even the Npc in trailer have more than final version just wonder why they remove it this stuff but expect the texture and micheal look much worse but overall the trailer look better compared to finish game that doesn’t mean gta 5 look worse it was great game and I have many memories with my ps3
You're not running it with max settings. It looks like the PS3/360 version of the game. On PC with max settings looks actually better than the teaser. RU-vid video compression maybe? I just run the game just to be sure. I've never thought to do that comparison before :D Anyway, I'm not messing with the editing. You did a great job :)
No it doesnt. Trailer has better ped animationes, more trees, better foliage and better shadera for vehicles. Makes sense since its almost 100% prerendered for most of the shots or recorded on dev hardware and not PS3 or X360. PC/PS4 disnt really get all the details back. They were to lazy with those releases to undo all the excessice cutting done to make it run on ps3 and x360.
@@Kacpa2Are you dumb and can’t read. No one said the trailer had no difference. The guy said the uploader didn’t have his game at its best settings. And that if he did, the game would look much better. Lemme stop you there. The “ped animations” were clearly all motion capture just for the trailer? Have you never seen trailers do that ever? The one mountain having more trees is irrelevant, because in the actual game, it would’ve changed nothing. That area still basically looks the sam now. It doesn’t have “better foliage” unless you’re talking about the PS3 version. The next gen versions clearly have better foliage, and _definitely_ exceed that first trailer overall. The “shadera” on the cars don’t look that much different. What you’re looking at is the bloom. That’s the biggest difference with the overall trailer. Nothing much changes past that, bro.
@@Kacpa2nahh there is no difference in animations.. There is some npc stuff removed due to the limitation of ps3 but.. In ps4 with ultra settings original game looks way better than first trailer.
i just wish they didnt have to downgrade all the foliage. Apparently there was way more at a higher detail that what we got. was removed cuz it ran at 15fps
I dont think they downgraded anything, they can run and design on nasa quality computers and they give us those trailers and screenshots in ultra 4k quality to lure us in. Coupled with some added audio and sound effects over in certain parts of the cutscene and all of a sudden weve got some juicy gameplay teasers. Common tactic with big name developers, especially rockstar
@@dennyfrontier They did. They took away a lot of foliage and trees, lighting looked realistic as well as most the textures but everything had to get scaled down since GTA 5 is technically a Xbox 360/PS3 release.
@@ramp7857 I wish the game had an option was Rendering or Shaders that let you choose "Classic" (2011) and the modern (2013). which is why players wanted to have the classic shader.
This worries me a lot for GTA 6... Marketing deceived us, NPC density and how they react is now a huge Hands up in the Air moment. Will GTA 6 even have the NPC density and animation quality and interaction dynamics to the degree of the GTA 6 Trailer? Or will it merely be smokes and mirrors to sell the Biggest GTA to date...!? Time will tell. Graphics are not everything, Great physics, NPC intelligence/dynamicness and atmosphere are. Lets not forget world density too, be it world props, vehicles or NPCs, all are important.
