*Do you have a magazine with a GTA series article?* I would be very grateful if you could scan or photograph me your issue. These GTA articles usually have a lot of interesting stuff inside. If you think that your article is uninteresting, contact me anyways. Be aware, that I don't care if your issue is not written in English. If I use your scans or other materials in a video, I will give you a shout-out. This would be my special thanks to you. If you have something awesome or a lot of articles, I would be happy to give you an early access of my upcoming video (or even videos) absolutely for free. Do you have GTA press kit or non-English GTA version? Contact me here *(nationalpepper@gmail.com)* Thanks in advance!
I feel the music pickup could have been a walkman, so you can listen to music while on foot. Some peds have headphones, so Tommy could have also have worn headphones when the pickup was activated.
They removed probably one of the best characters from the GTA - Pastor Richards, I listened to talk shows in Vice City and he was HILARIOUS, if he was in the game then he would be one of the most memorable NPC's in the series, I suspect that like always they removed him to avoid some controversy but if he was so deep in the making I'm surprised because there should be some leftovers in the files that's why maybe he really passed away and there's some error on IMDB or it's a different person? because I don't see a reason to remove such a great character from the game, I think there had to be going something on with the voice actor. I think all of this was because they hurried with the premiere since it only took them one year to make such great game which is insane, it's kind of a shame because it would be even a greater game if they took a little more time.
Ya I figured that too! I also found a connection no one noticed in GTA 4 Lost And Damned! The crooked cops talk about giving a therapist the wrong badge number who's from Vapucci Beach! I'm quite sure this is Michael Desanta's therapist lol!.
The Music Pick Up was going to be used to find music around the city. They originally had a mixtape option on the radio where you could mix music from different stations and also the music you found around the city with them pick ups.
Actually there are some leftovers related to "collectable Sony CDs" and I hinted that maybe the two are indeed related - however, there is literally no evidence of that so Vadim did not include that in the video as that's a too far fetched assumption.
All those gaming magazines I used to see on the shelves back in the 2000s - I regret not ever buying them all up into one big collection for the future. Good to see you again, Vadim.
Probably the two props that you showed of the sandcastle were actually It was one. For example: When you were driving at full speed and Destroys sandcastle number 1 is instantly changed by sandcastle number 2. and so the sandcastle number 2 has no collision because it is the sandcastle number 1 destroyed
Yeah I know what ya mean to elaborate a little it's like how in GTA 4 they got 2 models for Romans cab company building!, one is for before the fire and one is for after giving it the burnt down illusion!. Good looking homie!
Regarding the Music Pickup, I imagine it would have worked as a way to play music from the radio station without having to be inside a vehicle. Was likely scraped once they implented the radio stations in the sound settings. It's unlikely to be another collectible like the hidden packages because its similar to the way cop bribes look like.
Or if you touch it it will play music even if you are walking it's like a music player that plays music and Tommy can listen to it that's my theory Who knows maybe someday we may get other facts or maybe a mod that can make it
Rockstar basically wanted to make some crazy cult missions from the beginning but I think they didn't because it didn't fit or something, religion theme was put as far as in GTA II where you were saving in a church and in the third city there was a Krishna cult gang for which you could do missions, it took them like 15 years to bring cult back again in GTA V. I kind of thought that it would be a nice idea to make a movie or GTA game where you would play as a corrupted pastor that is a gangster behind the scenes.
Niko B Maybe Rockstar afraid of being sued by real Scientology? During that time Scientology love to takedown any kind of materials deemed parodying them.
Big Smoke would be a great parish too, due to him having several connections to the Bible. But off course, that didn't happen, he instead turned into a crack dealer only to get killed. But this would not also happen because: -Big Smoke's "book" maybe another book unrelated to Christians. It maybe a Quran for Muslims, or the Satanic Bible for Satanic followers. -Big Smoke won't even make it to becoming a priest because of the time span of San Andreas. For all I know guys who wants to be parishers or priests took at least years, while the game took like weeks or months ingame to finally complete the story. In conclusion, I should've never posted this comment.
@@beyondthestars4299 they either aren't satisfied with the content or they don't have enough to finish it, and just deleting stuff out of programs is extremely bad software development practice
if i became a developer i would leave some unused stuff in the game so that 10 years later some people find them and start talking about them lol, i like unused stuff they are interesting
About the car helicopter thing, I remembered that you could do some mod to the trash truck's file and make it into a useable helicopter, combined with the car float on water cheat, you essentially made a cheapo-sea sparrow.
the music pickup could have been : 1. Collectables which , once all of them collected got a special radio 2.Maybe each one of them gave more radio stations. 3. Maybe related to a mission which was cut early in game
The headphone pick icon was used for you to unlock and find music. Songs you could've unlocked were; A-Ha "Take On Me", The Police "Every Breath You Take", Prince "Doves Cry", Cyndi Lauper " Time After Time", Culture Club "Karma Chameleon", Soft Cell "Tainted Love" and Duran Duran "Hungry Like A Wolf".
He kept chatting on about how he was gonna build a 'Pastor Richards Salvation Statue', a giant statue of himself where he and the richest people on earth could blast off into space with, for some reason.
@@avada0 I almost feel like some people just don't listen to the talk radio in the game. It's a shame, since VC had some of the best-written talk radio shows out of any GTA.
Bully was supposed to have a Music Player system built into the controls initially, maybe it worked similarly to how you said and then was built into the controls?
6:03 imo the horses would have been in there, in the cutscene of Ricardo Diaz's first mission (The Chase) he got angry and he smashed the tv while yelling death threats at an horse that lost a race, possibly meaning that he placed a bet on that horse
@@chonatamang7081 sounds like a long time since you replayed the game Go see the first Ricardo mission, it shows him smashing his TV and yelling at the race horse
True, but the first mission in GTA 3 didn't start at Luigi's or the Hideout, but at Callahan Bridge. So you still had to drive a fair bit to get to both of them. If Ken's office were at the original location, you'd barely have time to explore the driving controls, not to mention get the Hurricane Warning.
O'Donovan has three wives! Who ate all the pies? O'Donovan! O'Donovan is a junkie! O'Donovan believes in compulsory buggery! O'Donovan's a communist! O'Donovan dresses in his daughters' underwear! O'Donovan gets naked with hogs! O'Donovan hates America!
My guess would be you could unlock more songs on the radio by finding the music icons, in which case they were probably hidden. Or maybe finding one was supposed to let you add one of your own song into the game and it was scrapped for being a bit too ambitious for the PlayStation 2. The Xbox version of San Andreas had an extra radio station where you could upload songs from the Xbox hard drive, possibly suggesting they had this idea earlier but couldn't make it work for PS2. They brought it back noticing the original Xbox had its own hard drive users' could rip songs from their CDs onto (sadly it didn't work for burned CDs).
@9:44 Pastor Richards appears on VCPR as one of the guests on the Pressing Issues program. He blabbers on for about 15 minutes with the other guests. He’s quite the humorous individual.
I don't think they always forget I think they keep certain things on the box or in the manual because it was important to them to show some of their work so it would not be forgotten
The headphones could be audio logs for a murder mystery or something. I mean it could of been linked to the victims in cement shoes but thats just my imagination.
Music pickup might have been some kind of a walkman, you will be able to listen to music while walking. It makes sense since you can pick it up only on foot and has headphones as the icon
Once upon a time I read about the headphones on the forums, and someone said that "GTA Vice City and San Andreas were supposed to have music enabled by walking, where you would pick up a "portable radio" or "cassette player" in Vice, or switch to whatever device they had in mind for SA by scrolling through weapons.
que buen material ya publiquen la parte 2 : v es interesante saber que tras 15 años del juego todavia se siguen desempolvando muchas cosas que no sabiamos
Assuming the voice actor for Pastor Richards didn't die, I'd guess they simply had no time to create his missions. There wasn't really any reason to remove him from Cortez's yacht either, since he's still "in" the game on the radio.
The headphones were probably for a give tommy a walkman attachment for his outfit like headphones with cord coming from tommys pocket and you could listen to the radio on foot
So I’m calling it that the music pickup was meant for cassette tapes that you could always hold and play on a walk man but those were just ideas and only the music “headphone” pickup was made but eventually cut.
The music icon were in gta vice city stories and they apear in the place of a side mission icon after you finish it and all they do is make u reply the same side mission again if u want to
The music pickup reminds me of something from the GTA III design document - originally, the player would have to unlock songs for every radio station by finding similar pickups around Liberty City. It's possible that it's a leftover from III's cut content, or perhaps they attempted the music unlocking system in VC, only to ultimately remove it again.
I don’t know if someone noticed.... But in Leaf links golf club, somewhere near the river, there’s a ghost pickup. It’s hasn’t got any textures, but it’s still slightly visible. Found it, while searching for the caddy.
the actual purpose of the music was to trigger missions that unlocked music for the club. It wasn't completed because it was too complicated and they didn't get approval for music use from the performers. Rockstar accidentally left it in the first issued gamer guide for Vice City.
I think the game would originally start with only a few radio stations and the headphone pickups were scattered around the map enabling other stations.
I've noticed the game contains "play sound at coords" commands, currently it does what it says, but in debug there might've been a music pickup at the coords that would play the sound when collected
My guess is that the music pickups would unlock additional songs for some of the radio stations, similar to how picking up the hidden packages give Tommy some items he can pick up at his house. Idk, it’s the only option that makes sense to me.
