Grand Theft Auto: Vice City is a 2002 action-adventure game developed by Rockstar North and published by Rockstar Games. Modder are always go into realism. Original GTA has cartoony vibe so the animations, mission and overall design is caricatural. Definittive Edition capture this vibe because realism is pointless here. It fits to GTA4 because it's serious story. From artistic perspective remasters are ok. They're just suffers from bugs but which game doesn't suffer from that at launch?

What makes you think this is fully playable? we haven't seen even a single mission in this video, just a showcase of visual mods + reshade and the vice city map. If you want to see a proper fanmade remaster(s) check out Skyblivion and/or Skywind (Oblivion / Morrowind remasters on skyrim engine [both still WIP obviously]).

They don’t. I mean if paid devs would make remaster it would be better bc of several reasons: 1) it will be able to run at 60fps on more than 2 types of graphics card 2) NPCs won’t stay on the yachts without any action 3) city will look more natural bc all the buildings/trees/cars/etc would be self made and not a pack of random models from the internet (maybe they will use some but it still gonna be different) 4) mods gonna need few more years than devs to redo all the cutscenes and it still gonna be worse 5) bugs I’m sure it’s not even 5% of it I think you weren’t 100% serious on that comment but you should stop shitting on real devs and realize that modders stay at being modders and don’t become devs for a reason and often it’s not their decision they’re just not good enough. Hasn’t it already been leaked how the graphics won’t be ultra realistic like this but a more polished “cartoony” look. So it still has that same feel to the game.
