I just Love the amount of detail they put in VCS map. Buildings that exist in VC are only construction sites in VCS. That's amazing details.

The main differences between both titles is that artistically the original Vice City was based more on Scarface, whereas VC Stories with the inclusion of Phil Collins was based more on Miami Vice.

I'm guessing they added the road that leads from Sunshine Autos to the airport for convenience, maybe people got frustrated having to drive round to get there.

I like how in VCS there's a road connecting Sunshine Autos to the airport, I played Vice City first and I wondered why they wouldn't put a road there just to save time on taxi missions

vice city stories kinda has a late 70s feel even though it's 1984

GTA Vice City still uses the engine from GTA 3, while GTA Vice City Stories uses the same engine as GTA Liberty City Stories and GTA San Andreas, you can see how Toni's (2005) and Vic's (2006) sprints and jogging animations are similar to Carl (2004), but due to technological limitations, the LCS or main character cannot swim because sprint feature with using heavy weapons has just appeared in the LCS, after GTA LCS then came GTA VCS with the feature running with using heavy weapons and being able to swim even though it was limited by lung capacity. So every GTA Series (3D Universe) must have its own advantages and disadvantages.

VCS seems alot more chaotic and filled with crime than VC, VC seems more calm VCS also has alot more of an 80s aesthetic than VC, with the bright colors pink/orange/purple sunsets and all the Neon lights at night

GTA Vice City was featuring Vice City in 1986 while GTA Vice City Stories was featuring Vice City in 1984. It was only 2 years, but many features was different.

I love Vice City of course but Vice City Stories is my favorite Gta game ever and the map is amazing

Vice City 1984 seems to be more of a working class city than in 86.

I like details like seeing how sunshine autos was 2 years before, and how they moved over and made renovations.

The PSP was a revolutionary handheld. It brought so many unique exclusives due to its hardware capabilities as well as the single analog stick control scheme. I remember buying mine on launch day, and was treated to the entire library from when there were five games out, right up until the last official North American game was officially released for it. Still my favorite handheld to this day (yes, even more than the Switch!).

The truth is Vice City plays exactly to 3 and Vice City Stories plays exactly to San Andreas, no bias here just truth!

vc is own job vcs is mixture of vc and sa map is vc the entering buildings and tool slot is sa (copy or mix)

The PS2 version of Vice City is visually similar to to Vice City Stories, but Vice City stories has a very rich color palette compared to Vice City. This alone sets the auras distinguishingly apart from each other not to mention their audio. I grew up with Vice City and I find some changes in Vice City Stories to be justly but many are unjustly.. Like shutting the boat house.. seriously? I also feel like they could have did something a little different with the empire properties like running them out of existing buildings while others that sit in vacant lots are fine. I also hated that the Washington Mall wasn't built yet. That place had moss on it for crying out loud 😅 But nonetheless this is a very great video, It shows just how many things have changed that some of us may not have noticed right away.. did you guys see how much Vice City Stories is going for now? I bought my coffee for $12 bucks a couple years back, now a brand new one sets you back about $200 bucks at the Exchange here in Akron, used for $70.. My copy isn't loading Ocean Beach very well for some reason, It freezes.. Maybe I'll have to bite the bullet and get a different copy or hopefully get lucky. R.I.P Victor Vance..

I play both games, and both are really great games, gta vc has pretty cool story and cool 80's Music, imo it has the best radio station than any other gta, and gta vcs has great combat style, like grab the people, or break their necks lol, plus you can build your own empire of drugs, and you can also swim for a while, which in gta vc bothered me, but at the end both were pretty fun. I almost forgot that I actually like the color on gta vcs, it feels like those movies from the 80's what a great times man :)

Noticed some places in VCS are still under construction but in VC, they have been completed. Same for LCS and GTA III

I've played both titles extensively when I was a kid. Both are great titles. I prefer Vice City's graphics and storyline missions over Vice City Stories, however, Vice City Stories has more gameplay and more to do. The business side missions and able to take over new territories is quite a nice feature to do in Vice City Stories.

As far as graphics go, your vice city looks amazing. I compared it to my ps2 version and mine wasn't even close to looking as good, even with component cables. Is that a PC port? I do enjoy some of the things that VCS added, like being able to swim, owning property, and it's just enjoyable to be in vice city again. Edit: Just seen somewhere else it is a pc port on max settings.

You forgot about the Civil Forefeiture Building from the mission The Audition in VCS. In Vice City, the area is empty but there's a lot of junk and crates there in VCS. Also the enclosed area with the Unique Stunt jump near the stadium in Downtown in VCS had a lot whereas it's empty in VC and there's junk West of the junk yard in VC and it's clear in VCS and the beach hill in Downtown and sand hill in Little Havana. You also forgot about Fort Baxter

I grew up with Vice City Stories when i was 3 lol. I was wondering why my character is bald while the other have hair then realised its a different games.

If you take map comparison, Vice city is better but if you take gameplay Vice city stories is better.

I love the kids complaining about VCS being too green or too yellow, i kind of agree, but VCS have many other things to do then VC, also geting 100% in VC its a little boring, in VCS its a little bit better, although i like the both games.

i had vc stories 5 years ago but i didn t have original vc

only thing i hate about VCS is the orange filter like gta SA, but i love VC climate so peacefull and harmonic, even when it's raining.

I always thought Vice City Stories blows Vice City out of the water in every possible way. Those two games should have been switched around - with Vice City Stories being the 'main' game, and Vice City being the spin-off, 'side' game. Vice City Stories has more interesting characters; a more interesting and engaging plot; missions that are much more interesting and fun; more weapons; more cars; MUCH MORE activities and side jobs; etc. The map is also more interesting in Vice City Stories (like an amusement park and other locations that don't exist in Vice City). Vice City Stories is a vastly superior game, in my opinion.

I like it both no hates, the gta i played first was gta vc but when i got my psp i played vcs more i kinda like vcs more because Vic Vance joined the army for his sick brother in the hospital he didn't like dealing with drugs he only got fired because of martinez whose been having drugs,but in VC tommy is with some drugdealers(Sonny) and getting back the money to sonny because the deal was cancelled because of diaz now sonny tries to kill tommy because he wants his money back which he said "ten?no eleven man" that was sonny said but tommy only had 3 mil$, look guys i don't like dealing with drugs like Vic so i'll take it with VCS idc if its yellowish or green i never minded that its just a reflection from the sun and when it get's night the colors are normal

I feel like there's way too much difference between the maps/buildings for a 2 year period. I know it's supposed to be a big town, but I think 4 years apart between the two games would be more realistic. Maybe if VCS would've took place in '81-'82 then it would feel more real. There's too many empty spaces in GTA VC (the demolished Empire Assets of Vic from VCS)

Vice City Stories has less but good hard missions.

I'll be honest, for me I love gta vice city more than vice city stories....both games are cool and much fit to the 1980's vibe....vice city had a iconic music from the 80's and gta vice city stories had more glowy neon lights and sun soaked timesync......both games are the best.....but I prefer gta vice city
